Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
The best horror channels by far are Horror Stories and Shrouded Hand in my opinion. Horror Stories for how straight to the point and respectful he is when he makes his videos without having to interject every 5 seconds saying how bad he feels for the victims. Saying it few times are fine, saying it over and over again gets really annoying.

Shrouded Hand is great just from the amount of variety you'll find on his channel. One vid he'll be talking about urethral torture killers and the next will be about 2 kids meeting a possible clown/alien/ghost/degenerate named all colours Sam. He seems to rarely recycle content unlike a lot of other horror channels.

JewTube buck broke Horror Stories, but he remains the king of morbid content. Does anyone have the archives of his deleted videos? Some long-format stuff like the Colombine vid got deleted.

I stumbled across this channel, Pandox, again. A few years back I watched his I 70 Murders video, and I thought it was fairly well-researched. I think, at the time, it was his only video, and I thought it would make for a good channel before eventually forgetting about it altogether.

This time I was pleased to see he had new uploads and checked one of them randomly. I don't know what to make of the video.

It's not bad, but the VHS aesthetic is getting tiresome. I think Nexpo and Jorge use it nowadays too, which just makes me think of big channels that pretend to care about quality when they're only trying to periodically make mediocre uploads.

The topic is kind of dull. I thought this “mystery” would be about some reddit mod going schizo on his little subforum. That, if real, would've been a lot more eerie and interesting. It would've reminded me of some of Frederik Knudsen older videos. However, it quickly became obvious it's a shitty ARG or just an unfunny joke.

My biggest complain is that the video never shows what exactly is “frightening” about the subreddit. He references many times that there are “images he cannot shown,” but doesn't provide much more information. I'm writing this just right after watching it, so I haven't made my own research to see if there's something really frightening there. But from my current perspective, it just seems like if he cares more about not being demonitized rather than providing a good narrative. He also self-censors the no-no words.

Lastly, the voice while reading the reddit posts was so silly I laughed out loud. I wish people would stop trying to make creepy voices to read quotes.

EDIT: I'm probably confusing this channel with an other one that also covered highway murders. Anyways, this guy has a Tommy Ziegler video that looks promising. Maybe it's worth to keep an eye on him.

Pandox also covers highway murders, I just got recommended his video on the I-70 killer. I'd never heard of that channel until literally like 40 minutes ago, I got recommended his video on the Gary Sudbrink phone calls. It seems like a hoax of some kind, but I guess people in the UFO community think that those calls came from an alien or a man in black or some other ridiculous shit. It wasn't a terrible video, but kind of boring. I'm working on something and just want stuff to listen to, and his voice isn't horrible or annoying so I might put a Pandox playlist on in the background and I'll report back if I watch anything good, I guess.

saw this posted in one of the image threads. This is basically my opinion on all the YouTubers who censor their vids with dump euphemisms for rape like “S.A.”.

A change of pace, if anyone's interested: the production company that makes "Noroi no Video" ("Cursed Video"), a series that purports to showcase paranormal or "cursed" videos and stories sent in by the public, has started uploading clips with English subtitles. It started back in 1999 when the J-horror boom began.
They have a big backlog of videos that run the gamut from genuinely creepy to cringy and obviously fake, which are still fun to watch without subtitles, since they're pretty much presented as "Here's a video that has a ghost in it. Is it real? Who knows."

Another one is THEつぶろ ("THEtuburo" or "TheTubro"?) that investigates Japanese urban legends and creepy images, but as far as I know they don't have any videos with English translations. They took on Jeff the Killer after receiving a lot of requests from Westerners (don't speak Japanese and no one has translated it so I have no comment):
For this video about a famous creepypasta image, someone in the comments did provide a translation:
I used to have some of those on dvd. There are a bunch of those cheaply made “ghost footage” dvd’s too that can be kind of creepy I guess. Not sure if they’re the same company though, as I don’t have them anymore.

I don't think there is a better example of a completely garbage """"""arg"""""" then the "dad" channel
This wasn't done out of earnest. All of the videos, the side channels, the streams, begging other youtubers to pay attention to him, all just an excuse to save this faggots carrier
At least most of the args I've seen created something that's an actual game, and wasn't just promotion for the creator
Aw, that's a fucking shame. I actually had bit of a soft spot for the Dad series way back in the day when it was just this uncanny web series about skinwalkers trying to imitate the typical family but being unnervingly bad at it.

I could do without the four-hour live stream of him dancing nonstop though. I could also certainly do without this attention whoring and Youtube boxing.

Like why?
Got a new Shrouded Hand.
Yay! It was a good video. Fascinatingly disgusting. Right up there with the dog pregnancy fanfiction.

You okay? Forgot your meds? Had a stroke?

Do you by any chance remember the name of this anime OVA series which was similar in title to that but had a bunch of short stories? The first one had some about hanako san and one was about a baseball coach who had a player who he threw a ball at or something and hit the guy in the head and killed him
(or something) and then the coach killed himself and the ghost haunted the baseball field, and the second movie had a bunch of stories, like ten of them, but they were really shitty. One had a girl who was on a jungle gym, fell over, suddenly turned to look at her friend and she was a demon, and that was the entire story. Another was a guy or woman looked up at a building and there was a demon climbing it. It was something similar to Kowaii Hanashi/Gakkou No Kaidan. First one came out in 1994, 1995 or 1996 and had a blue tinted onryo with blonde hair on the cover and was notably higher quality than the sequels which were 1997 onward. I think they made 4 or 5 of them. They are on youtube somewhere, about 40 minutes to an hour each in length.

Even then his serial killer cases feel a bit too tryhard in general.
Apparently not many people are happy about the series.
Honestly i'm mixed on what to think about UrbanSPOOK and his series. On one hand maybe people are going a bit too far when criticizing him and the series, but on the other hand he probably has some skeleton(s) living in his closet.

UrbanSpook has really good art. Is his stuff like arg shit?

I can't take these seriously just as I can't take things like Gemini Home Entertainment seriously. I don't understand why a game or a piece of media needs to become “corrupted” by a family murder or something. It breaks my immersion from the getgo.
I scrubbed the zoomer's video up to the point of that fake flash game doing the flat "what have you done" out of nowhere. It's nothing new that horror can be formulaic but the idea of trying to pull a "WHY DID YOU KILL ME" in the middle of a dress up game is fucking retarded.

Who in their right mind is buying a Fuck-toy Cory shirt?

Seems like UrbanSpook is pushing for an overtly edgy series and selling 100% of the paintings for the sake of consistency. Granted, he is a Youtuber who makes money, so the chances of him being a nonce himself are nearing 51%.

His series is a glorified slideshow of what seems to be AI art "on a video tape!!!" but at the same time I cannot stand zoomie criticisms that he's "making light of CSA survivors" or any other pearl-clutching that a horror series about a necro-pedophile-serial-torture-murderer is disgusting.

Then again, do we really want more lisping fluoride-stares apologizing for themes of suicide and shoving bad live-action segments into these? Mandela Catalogue was always weak, and it only got weaker when the creator capitulated to the Twitter crowd. It's all gay.

I'm torn on the video as well. I don't like the creator or the detractors.

A bit late, but Dad is a turbofaggot. He used to stream Minecraft every so often, and if somebody said "I don't like your series" on the announcement posts he'd sperg out really hard for a bit before deleting the messages. It was years ago and I don't have any screenshots of it still, but I remember it being semi-regular and him coming off as butthurt and retarded.

arg thing.png
Minaxa showed this off as an example of a more original idea for an arg, like it's somehow better
Shit looks like the drawing of a child
I don't care how original Sins of the Past is, this is terrible example to use against UrbanSpooks

My current problem with UrbanSpook is that the series isn’t progressing really. In the newest video, he shows the killer's face, which seemed to have a flesh mask over it. However, the killer's face was shown a few times before, with much greater effect as well. If it continues at this rate, it'll just feel like wallowing in the disturbing without doing anything.

Grabbed from Urbanspook's latest video (Analog horror: PIGS). I feel more disgusted with these reactions than the subject of the video. In case somebody who is reading the thread isn't aware, the implication is that they fed viagra to a horse and the victim was turned into Ms. Hands.

Thankfully, it is fiction and it never happened in the first place. It's kind of funny that you have horror channels who complain about being demonetized and have to censor themselves often and here comes this guy and just goes all out.

This is pretty much the "I'M LITERALY SHAKING" of JewTube comments.
