Welcome Home is an ARG (alternate reality game) based on children's properties such as Sesame Street and other popular media that used puppets in the 1960's-1970's to educated and entertain children on basic shapes, numbers, etc., but something happened causing this particular show to get wiped off the face of the earth and it is up to you to find out why.

Story
The plot centers around lost media archivists trying to find media and memorabilia of this show to find out it's sudden removal from television in the 1970's despite it being a wildly successful show during it's time; but they find something autistic scary is going on and there is a darker story hiding just beneath the surface.
Their ultimate plan is to spread knowledge of this show to museums and other widely viewed places but some retarded evil force might be controlling them to do so.

Background
Welcome home is a project made by a user named Party Coffin alias Clown is a queer creator who started the welcome home project back in 2018.
They have a long history of drawing spooky, gay muppets and eventually decided to make this project and despite being in development for over 5 years now is only claimed to be 5% completed as stated by clown themself.
The reasoning for this is because Clown has thrown out and redone this project multiple times despite making it a public ARG over 5 years ago.
This is why the story thus far is short as any work prior to 2022 has been disowned and is no longer a part of the project despite the fact, all of that previous story and artwork being used on their website being used to describe and promote the project still.

1682982714534.png

All the artwork seen above that might actually be interesting to the story is no longer canon because people figured out from the images they posted the entire story. This is because how fucking obvious the story was that wally is the actual devil by how on the nose "that's the most," image was and the others where they outright drew them as the devil only helped to confirm this assumption.

1682989134967.png
Clown feeling embarrassed that their gay puppet ARG was so predictable that from one image people figured out the entire story they WIPED THE WELCOME HOME WEBSITE AND STORY THUS FAR and started the whole project all over again.

The website re-opened on January 14, 2023 to the current version it is while writing this

Cast
To the shock of no one, all of the characters are confirmed to be LGBT in some way, despite it being the 1970's, and no way in hell that would have ever been allowed on tv at the time.
1682993566195.png

Wally
Darling
1682990832640.png

The first main gay puppet is Wally; who is the main star of the show Welcome Home.
He is the focus of all the made up show's merchandise, advertising, and is in every episode and book of this series. His segments are centered on drawing and painting with viewers like a Bob Ross type of character. Barnaby (his "friend," in the series) is often depicted alongside him even sleeping in the same bed together.

A notable relation to Wally in the series is a character named Home. Home is regarded as the ninth neighbor in the series, but cannot speak verbally and is often shown speaking only in onomatopoeia. This is the house that Wally lives in during the series and is the only home in Welcome Home is that alive and where is all the current spooky shit is happening from.
Wally "spooky," theme is spirals, so anything that has a spiral is related to Wally along with smiley faces.

This is not a surprise that this is clown's self insert that clown admits himself, he even goes as far to describe some posts of wally as "self portraits.

Voice actor confirmed to be voicing Wally in this ARG is a user named DaFrabkiestein.

1682999510269.png

1682999642278.png

Barnaby Beagle
1683001735472.png

He is the "resident jokester," aka bootleg Fozzie Bear who left his life on the farm to move to the neighborhood he jokingly calls “The Big City.” He backstory is he was an orphaned puppy that was adopted by Miss Beagle, or how they describe it "The Chicken that Crossed the Road." This is also his motivation to be an entertainer...somehow?

Wally is depicted alongside him and everyone is fairly certain these two were gay before the re-write because they outright sleep together in multiple images.
It also doesn't help everyone saw in the devil picture, the dog fucking deep throating an apple right in front of wally while he blushes.
When people finally found this project and realized how fucked up this was that Wally was fucking a dog, people did speak out about it that caused Clown to change the nature of the relationship.
But despite the drama, they still encouraged people still draw the two together
1683000935189.png

Barnaby's segments are just Fozzie's stand up, they outright just plagiarized this section from the muppets. Barnaby has the middle initial "B," that is still currently a secret. He is depicted with a wooden tobacco pipe and is supposed to be a puppet that is mixed between a live-hand puppet and a walk-around puppet so he can keep him in frame with the neighbors in the show.
Barnaby's theme is a paw print for any symbol with that is him.

Voice actor confirmed for the ARG is a user named SynthCharmVA

1683001654738.png

Julie Joyful

1683002416604.png

Another main cast member is Julie who is a genderfluid, bisexual puppet (despite genderfluid not being a term until the 1994) who is often depicted wearing different types of fashion and playing games with the other neighbors.
Julie's backstory is found in the hidden scripts that she is a "Rainbow Monster," that came from deep within the forest that surrounded the outskirts of Home. She lived with her family in a cave nearby but sought out a life of her own and left.

Her sections are supposed to be centered around playing games and playing pretend aka she is the sesame street bootleg of the show. She is depicted with Frank as a "comedic foil," in merchandise and advertising using an unreleased song in the ARG, “The Fun in your Frown.”

Julie's family consisted of three siblings whose names are Bea, Franny, and Jonesy, but they do not live in the neighborhood like Julie does. Julie's theme is flowers so any symbol involving flowers is her along with tic-tac-toe for some reason.

Voice actor for Julie in the ARG is cyberscraps
1683002650449.png
1683002698943.png

Frank Frankly
1683003188787.png

Another main cast member is Frank who is described as a non-binary, gay puppet who is canonically in love with Eddie the postman.
Frank so far is one of the few without a backstory prior to moving into the neighborhood. Frank is often depicted holding a book or butterfly net. He is also canonically autistic and is seen stemming in many of clown's images. He is obvious as day a bootleg Bert from Seasame Street and acts exactly like him too with the only real difference is that they claim he is the smartest puppet in the show. Frank is Julie friend as described above in Julie's section.

In the show he has a fixed frown on its face, just like Bert in Sesame street with the only difference is Frank's head can spin.

Voice actor confirmed for Frank in the ARG is the same guy who was approved to voice Wally, DaFrankiestein

Eddie Dear
1683005034858.png

Eddie is the gay postman in the series, who is regularly seen interacting with the cast.
His backstory is that he moved from a distant town in order to establish a post office in the neighborhood, that is known as Eddie’s Post Office. His running joke is he misremembers where he came from and gives the wrong name of it by giving the place he recently delivered too instead. His mom was also a mail carrier but no name has been given yet to who she is.

Despite the obvious theme, Eddie segments are oddly focused on arts and craft projects (even though wally technically already does that?). Eddie is frequently found in the neighborhood itself delivering mail. He also solves issues the neighborhood has by using his brute force to help deal with it.

His voice actor for the ARG is a user named TunnelVA
1683003653571.png

1683003764197.png

Poppy Partridge
1683005078983.png

Another main cast member is Poppy, who is basically an even gayer big bird.
They are a trans, lesbian puppet who normally is seen baking or knitting in any image depicting them.
Poppy's backstory is they had lived with their family in a nest that had been tucked away in a tree deep within the forest that they had to leave they outgrew the nest to a staggering degree. They eventually moved into an empty barn in the neighborhood that they fixed up, aka they just broke into a random barn and took that shit.

Poppy insists they can fly in some iterations of their dialogue, but this is a long running joke in this fictional show as there is no evidence of this through out the show's run. They don't know also what kind of bird this thing fucking is as they state it is a “bit of a flamingo on her father’s side and a bit of a hen on her mother’s side.”
Poppy’s puppet is just a bootleg Big Bird so they have the same walk-around puppet including concept. Poppy is rarely seen outside of her barn, typically being visited by neighbors instead. Their segments focused on baking and did not include a live-hand counterpart (aka sesame street segment), so other puppets were often doing her work for her in these skits. The reason for this is because they are too scared to use appliances.

Voice actor confirmed for Poppy in the ARG is a user named UncleMod

1683004394774.png
1683004425765.png

Sally Starlet
1683004998061.png

One of a few Welcome Home characters not confirmed currently to be LGBT in anyway
Their backstory is that Sally had once been the brightest star in the sky more than those that surrounded her. However, when she looked down at a nearby celestial body she knew there were still places she had yet to truly shine and fell as a shooting star.

Sally segments are focused on theater such as acting and singing, which she felt she was more than well-versed at from being a star. Her segments often consist of the entire ensemble of neighbors and her playing the role of the director as the joke. The residents would act stories out on a stage that would be displayed in the show as story time segments. Many fairy tales always took a turn ending up at Sally’s expense normally because of Barnaby’s presence.
Sally is a live-hand puppet but required an additional hands to help move her head because it was very large.

The voice actor playing her in the ARG is a user named GinaM9816

1683004915728.png

1683004971116.png

Howdy Pillar
1683005636154.png

Another character in Welcome Home not confirmed to be LGBT in anyway currently.
Howdy is a caterpillar who wanted to start his own business that he accomplished when he moved into the neighborhood. His business is named Howdy’s Place and alternatively known as a “Bugdega” by Barnaby (muppets need to sue this shit for the good of humanity) who is also his most loyal customer. Howdy's backstory is he originated from an apple core in a tree alongside his brothers and sisters who have no names currently and have no current mentions of being in the ARG as a character currently.
Howdy is depicted standing behind the counter near an open window. Howdy is not a main charcater neighbor as he is rarely seen in the neighborhood beyond special occasions, or deliver goods to Poppy.

Howdy exchanges goods for funny jokes, unique gadgets, etc. Barnaby normally goes by Howdy to give him a daily laugh in exchange for a hot dog. Howdy's main running joke is saying werid names while preparing the hotdogs to give to barnaby. Howdy’s puppet is rotated between a live-hand puppet and a walk-around puppet in order to keep him in frame with his fellow residents like barnaby does.

Voice actor confirmed for the ARG is SynthCharmVA again

1683001582437.png

Bea Joyful
1683005835370.png

They are the only other puppet besides Frank who has a premanent frown.
No information currently is revealed about them or thier personality or what importance they have to the story beyond that they like talking.
No voice actor has currently been confirmed for this characater ethier.

Jonesy Joyful
1683006126049.png

Jonesy is a background charcater in the welcome home show who is Julie's only male sibling.
No information currently is revealed about them or thier personality or what importance they have to the story beyond that.
No voice actor has currently been confirmed for this characater ethier.

Miss Beagle
Beagle is a background charcater in welcome home who is is Barnaby's adopted mother.
No information currently is revealed about them or thier personality or story importance beyond being Barnaby's mother.
No voice actor has currently been confirmed for this characater ethier.

Ronald Dorelaine

Ronald Dorelaine is the creator of The Playfellow Workshop in this ARG, the company that made the Welcome Home show. Welcome Home is the only show they have produced, but no further details beyond that have been given thus far even in previous versions of the ARG.
No voice actor or regular actor has been confirmed for this role ethier.

Legacy
The series was originally very dead in the water around the beginning of 2023 as most of their previous audience left out of frustrated they had reset the entire series.
That was until Nightmind (furry degenerate who posts his scat fetishism on twitter) came into the picture by posting this video about the project

The entire internet just two months after Nightmind posted his first video on Welcome Home was infested with kids and autistic adults alike spreading this autism all across the internet.
Any website you can think of like Youtube, Tiktok, Twitter, and even Facebook were infested by these people.

Just an example of just what kind of autism you're getting yourself into

What they infested with most sites with

People simping for the Wally puppet (this is not a joke, people actually want to fuck the puppet)

Comedy and horror to these people

As you expect, there is a ton of dramas that have happened already in this fandom despite it only being a few months after Nightmind's video.
These will be documented later but they are as autistic as hell with people like this.

Dramas

The most known and current dramas going on are the three golden rules Clown has tried to force onto their fandom.

These were rules Clown started to enforce after Nightmind video made their project popular and of course due to it could make them a lot of money, the first rule they decided to enforce was.

  1. No Merchandising of Welcome Home
Like anything popular people will eventually make fanart and try to sell it to make money off of it. This is normal and common in any interest space you can think of but Clown because they aren't getting a cut of that sweet money pie decided fair use can suck their ass and started flagging down everyone they could find that could even remotely make money off of it.
They began false flagging people making plushes, shirts, pins, even roblox skins of their characters would have a DMCA quickly sent to them if they even hint they got monetized in anyway including people reposted their self admitted FREE ASSETS on their website.
    1682986439561.png

This rule was not enforceable and they could not police people to not sell artwork so Clown made a "merchandising guide," for their parasocial fans to help police their audience for them. This is after push back from people calling them out for doing that very same shit on ko-fi by using fanart and one off commissions of Miss Piggy and other Sesame Street characters to make money themselves. This is also what lead them to making a half retraction on April 6th.

    1682987223945.png
    1682987312404.png
    1682987489425.png
  2. No NSFW Artwork : You read that correctly, clown seriously thought they could asks degenerates online not to be degenerates online. This went as well as you would expect as the amount of horrific, gay puppet porn of their characters when from 13 results before that announcement to now over 100 results due to them saying this. People theorize the real reason why clown asked for this was due to the only rule 34 at the time was of Wally (clown's self insert) were sexual images with him and Julie, or just Julie getting dicked down. Theory is they did this on purpose to get more porn of Wally that wasn't with Julie or just Julie, which is plausible as Clown hasn't reacted to the influx as the result of this incident.
    Before the Announcement:
    1683007699886.png
    1683007942393.png
    After the announcement:
    1683007779612.png
    1683007982734.png
To give insight how insane the drama is with welcome home. There are agurments on the fucking pornsite about that peice of porn above being traced.
    1683008058819.png

  3. Do Not Spread My Personal Info: This drama is the result of the other two rules that resulted in a rumor that Clown got doxed. Clown claims this wasn't true but didn't clarify that fact until over a week later after everyone was panicking thinking they left out of fear. This has lead people to think they actually did get doxed but are pretending it isn't real to hopefully make it go away. The timing of the supposed doxing also happened around the same time of clown's hiatus due to "mental stress," they were going through.

Website Secrets Currently
Like any ARG, there are secret pages and files you can find by going through the website.

I have made a list of all the current ones including gifs and audio in the spoiler tag below
Throughout the Welcome Home site, there are certain letters that are askew all throughout the website. These letters are E, W, X, O, V, and Y.

If you use these letters in a certain order, you’ll wind up on secret pages that contain gifs, audio files, scripts, etc.

These are the codes that we know of so far.
  • https://www.clownillustration.com/eovwxy — Television with white noise that voices at a very low frequency can be heard. At 41:06, eyes can be seen that are Wally's.
    1682996370912.png
  • https://www.clownillustration.com/yxwvoe — It appears like other error messages but the phone on this one is different with a black dial key. If you click on the phone, you will hear Wally sing Beautiful Dreamer. At the end, Wally states “That’s all Barnaby taught me. Do you like it?” Home responds with a series of knocks and creaks. Wally replies, “That’s good, I think.”
  • www.clownillustration.com/ywxoev – A gif of Home with eyes superimposed with the word OPEN beneath it.
  • https://www.clownillustration.com/voywex – leads to an animated image of Wally’s eyes and the message, “Hello. You’re there. I can’t see you. Do you see me? Then stay quiet.” If you turn up the exposure to max on this image, Wally’s full face is revealed.
  • https://www.clownillustration.com/woxyve – A series of cutout images of the scripts for Welcome Home and a central gif of all the Welcome Home Neighbors. The gif always lingers on Wally, and with each cycle Wally’s pupils get larger. The gif finally ends in a red background without Wally in it. A complete image of the script can be found here.
  • By clicking on the houses, you can also see the profiles of each of the neighbors. A secret link is attached to the word “You” at the top of the page.It will send you to a secret page that is a gif that slowly spells out, “Wally is your best friend.”
  • Home obviously has a secret in it as anyone with functioning eyeballs can see. If you click on it, you’ll be taken to a URL called “so-below” with a gif of a bloody sketch Wally reaching up towards Home's window eyeball that also covered in blood.
    1682999206189.png
  • If your on mobile moves the house up and reveals a black void with a spiral in it.
    1682998928029.png

Text Secrets

You can read these by just highlighting the text (it is as lame as you think it is)

  • When you navigate to the About Us page, the section that asks, “Why did you make this website?” The very first sentence of the paragraph is “It means it’s inside of you too, then does it hurt?”.
  • At the end of the sentence if you highlight it, there is hidden that reads, “When I unwrapped the first letter, I felt it. I heard it. Open. Open. Open. I want it out. I’m going to get it out.”
  • The question, “How did you begin your research into Welcome Home?” there is hidden text that reads, “But it hurts.”
  • The question, “Do you know how many episodes of Welcome Home there are?” there is hidden white text at the end of the paragraph. The text reads, “The numbers are so hard to read. Sometimes I can’t see them.
  • On the gif of Frank with his head rotating the spins of the books behind him read, “HELLO”, “It’s You Know Who?”, “I’m your neighbor.”, “Do you think about me? You do.” and “I’ve felt you.”
Image File Secrets
It's the same as the text secrets but image form this time! (people like this ARG somehow, holy shit)

  • On the first page of the website, you can scroll to the very bottom to see a series of images in the gallery section. One of these images is a black and white illustration of Frank and Sally building a snowman. If you open up this image and edit the exposure and the saturation you will reveal the message laid over “We’ll Be Right Back!” The message reads “May Your Home Be”.
    1682998305919.png
  • There is a page that has a advertisement to the toys related to Welcome Home. This advertisement shows three displayed items, each related to the corresponding letters A, B, and C. But if you look closely, there is a “D” that’s been crossed out. This is the letter people theorize is another letter for the URL code for the website as Frank's Morse blinking code also spells out "D."

Guestbook Secrets
When inspecting the URL of the images in the guestbook, you can see that they’re saved with filenames that are responses to some of the submitted messages sometimes, or you have to inspect element the site to get the message also. (This is somehow even lamer than the text secrets)
1682997516469.png

  • In a response to a message that says, “Why do you like eye contact?” there is a doodle of a spiral with the file name “soyouknowiamlookingatyouneighbor_iamtalkingtoyou.png.”
  • In response to a message that says, “this website has secrets I know it” there is a colorful doodle that blocks out the message. The image has no filename, but if you use inspect on the site, the message reads "Alex left."
  • In response to a message that reads, “This site has reawakened so many childhood memories! Thank you for starting this restoration project, it’s a true shame what happened to the show :[,“ there is a giant spiral that represents Wally’s eye that does the same thing the alex's message does but this time says "Mars left."
  • In response to a message, “where am I?? What is this place… if someone is reading this please help me, I have no clue what is happening here and there are these, people, i think that's what they are, they look almost like strange puppets from a child’s book… but if there's anyone out there reading this… help me… please” there is a series of red question marks left after it. The file name reads “whyareyoufibbing_youarenothere_idontseeyou_pleasedonotlietome_.png.”
  • In response to a message that reads, “Man, it’s been years since I thought about this show. I genuinely thought I made it up was I was a kid, the memory of it has always been this unreachable itch in the back of my mind. Hopefully, this project will help scratch it a bit,” there is a doodle of a red spiral that represents Wally’s eye again (they reuse a lot of symbols in this ARG) the file name reads “Scratchharder_.png.”
  • In response to a message that reads, “Hiya Wally! You and your friends sure seem like a bunch of wonderful folks! What’s your favorite memory with each of your friends?” there is a doodle that covers the words “Hiya Wally!” but the file name reads “nomemory_.png.”

Morse Code

Home Speaks
—In the secret page using the secret code yxwvoe, home makes a series of bangs. These bangs spell out “I DO”, which is the response to Wally asking “Do you like it?” Wally then states, “That’s good, I think.” (People got excited over this discovery too somehow)

Frank Blinks —On the Welcome Home page, there is an image gallery at the very bottom with an animated gif of Frank holding a two-tiered jelly. In this image, Frank is blinking spelling out the letter “D”. If you skim by this image after viewing it, it will become a still frame image and Frank no longer blinks afterwards.

Worst fucking ARG I've ever come across hands down. Which really sucks, the creators seemed to put so much effort into it. If only the story and characters were actually good and not just faggot Muppets. Not at all surprised this already has a fandom and 90% of it's members are deranged Discord-poisoned high schoolers.

sudden removal from television in the 1970's despite it being a wildly successful show during it's time
If this Welcome Home show was actually real, and not in some alternate 1970s where gay stuff was accepted earlier, then there really should be no mystery for why an openly gay series would be removed from television in the 1970s. Like it's not about being homophobic or anything, but you shouldn't go extreme gay in the 1970s.

When I wake up in the middle of night unable to sleep, I always learn about weird shit here on the farms. Tonight I've discovered this sick section of internet culture and what an ARG is.
ARGs aren't like this normally. It is basically like a mystery game board game just without the board to play with.
This; however, I am deeply sorry this was your first introduction to the genre because this is genuinely the bottom of the barrel even by ARG standards

ARGs are usually extremely autistic tho. Like speedrunning, it's a chase towards fake internet cred for deciphering whatever bullshit the creator thought of. Game related ones are even worse since you are dependent on random chance.

This looks like it has a lot of effort put into it, but it's hard to buy:

1. The lame copycat story and easy to figure out original plot.
2. The gay stuff, the creator seems to be a fanfic faggot himself.
3. The presentation is just too eager and weird, I can't think of an archive site having a page read like that.
4. The artstyle is too modern.

Beyond that, I find it ironic that the subtext basically is: gay characters are evil, the main gay character is Satan, this show is bad for children because it promotes homosexuality.

Cringe aside, I can appreciate it when these types of people actually put in the time and effort to create their own media as opposed to taking things that other people made and ruining it such as the She-ra reboot for example. I get the impression that Clown was wholly unprepared for this project to get such an uncontrollable autistic fanbase this quickly and I definitely would be mortified to be in that position.

Good lord, this is retarded as shit. I can applaud Clown for being basically a one-man band for this but this is....this is really radioactive. Why so much faggotry? Weren't we supposed to be scared of these muppet bootlegs? Why all the pride shit?

At least Scott Cawthon didn't insert LGBTIDGAF nonsense into FNAF and kept himself un-tarded when conducting himself online. The monsters remained as monsters. It's just a shame that the very same audience of his turned against him for bullshit reasons.

It's not "The Muppets" - It's my own original dead gay gangbang!
I think it's impressive how well they aped the style (obvious modern anachronisms notwithstanding) but all that effort for this?!
I could tell that it had an interesting concept from the bits I saw on youtube thumbnails but my 6th sense knew to stay away.
As autistic as it sounds, I just kinda wish they stuck to making a Muppet homage instead of adding in all the poorly done horror elements ...although then we'd still have all the cringey gay stuff so maybe not.

Late zoomers/Gen Alphas have completely bastardized the term ARG. I remember when ARG's were actually super fun puzzles you had to figure out. Way back when Valve actually gave a shit about TF2 they've made two ARG's to promote Pyromania and the release of the final video from the Meet The Team series, and an ARG to promote Mann vs. Machine. I remember when it happened and it was really intriguing to follow as people dissected all the puzzle pieces Valve left, with the MvM ARG involving working with various file formats, including a KeePass password database where people had to figure out the password for it to go forward. They've also done a similar thing for promoting Portal 2 before that.

And nowadays ARG has been diluted to the point where any series that is even slightly distressing for kids where every single fucking author of the project is known from the start because they crave attention is called an ARG, despite it having absolutely no characteristics of an ARG. ARG's used to be very fun Internet challenges to get people to try and connect the dots to figure something out and it took some actual effort to solve, and that's what made it fun. And now it's a term used synonymously with "analog horror" which is also insanely fucking bland because of how much zoomers want to jump onto this trend.

Hell, I remember when around the time the TF2 ARG's were happening there was an actually intriguing analog horror series before analog horror became a name, and that was Kraina Grzybów. And the great thing about it was that no one fucking knew who's behind the project until it came to a close years later. And today every single fucking schmuck who wants to make something like this absolutely HAS to plaster his name all over his project to make sure that absolutely everyone gives him personal asspats. There's no appreciation for the art anymore, there's no understanding of how anonymity makes it compelling, it's just endless attention whoring.

Haven't watched it but Game Theorist did a long stream about this ARG:
Oh that's another drama I didn't put into the OP I mentioned.
When he did that "Game Theory," trended on twitter of people upset he covered it.
It became a more stupid of a drama because they were upset he called it an "ARG," despite even the VA's calling it an ARG
