Well I guess Simmons is fucked then. Sam can say anything he wants about him being a pedo.
Jon just reminds me so much of how I was when I was in elementary school. Speech impediment(same one as his), being mad when I didn't get my way(breaking shit, barricading myself in my room, yadda yadda), distancing myself from others with different beliefs, etc. But I was like... 10. Not mid 20's.@Mr.Bucket This. Jon is ruining the game right now. If you think Damiel should be kicked out because they bent the rules to bring him back in, then you should equally want Jon to be kicked out because they keep bending the rules to keep him there. His occasional funny moment (which is generally just loud = funny) is outweighed by him being a whiny bitch and a big baby who hides and cries whenever anything doesn't go the way he wants it to (mid 20s, btw).
I get that a lot of people have their own pet retards on this show, and the Jon fans shout the loudest in this thread (as the Josie fans do on /tv/; there's nothing wrong with doing so, too), but he's been increasingly sandbagging the whole thing over the last few days.
People in this thread always autistically tries to talk about game theory and how the fishes play each other. But the problem is they are not going to vote each other out, Its going to be Sam picking out someone he personally doesn't like with the twitter/fishtank polls as an influence.Without intervention Sylvia would definitely be going out next. Still, everyone knows she's the weakest link (Vance straight up said she isn't a threat, Letty wouldn't directly shit on Sylvia but still implied it), and certain other contestants are on thin ice (like Jon for refusing to do today's challenges). That's why people like Vance are trying to take out more competitive contestants early so they'll have an easier time later.
The thing is, that all hinges on Sam/Jet not changing the rules or just eliminating unpopular contestants unilaterally. There's a very good chance they'll cave to retards in the audience and rig things to the route they think is more entertaining, which would ironically just make things boring again.
The way he believes everything any "adult" tells him says loads about his mental age, too. I.e., believing that Joe Rogan (the trained scientist) had empirically proven that drinking coffee (a diuretic) would hydrate you as much as water.Jon just reminds me so much of how I was when I was in elementary school. Speech impediment(same one as his), being mad when I didn't get my way(breaking shit, barricading myself in my room, yadda yadda), distancing myself from others with different beliefs, etc. But I was like... 10. I don’t understand how they haven’t come to the conclusion to just leave shit like this alone. Give them the competitions, and stop trying to dictate everything these people do. It doesn’t feel natural and starts to feel forced.
You’re right but for all of the wrong reasons. Producers produce. Whether you want to call it coaxing or manipulating, it’s what they do to make the show entertaining. They could have two logic: logic of participation - understandable by participants - and the production behind the show - subversion of the participants. I think Jet and Sam are essentially thinking in more strictly in terms of the former and latter, respectively, and rather than work together to do both, Sam is ruining everything because his attention is split, and Jet is responsible for too much to become detached. In fact, he is essentially a "daytime host" at this point. The good cop bad cop thing could work with Jet and Sam, but somebody else needs to be behind the scenes.@Mr.Bucket This.

Sam being a bad cop, could work if he didn't hold all the strings. Because he has bankrolled this project, he is EP which means he's going - or should be - by popularity and sales. Even that wouldn't necessarily be bad if it was done less disruptive. I've seen someone here suggest using mini-tasks/pair-ups as a conduit for scheming, and this is correct. People can then sabotage their teammates in terms of the larger picture. For example, Letty could have involved Jon in the baby-snatching scheme "You are immune, and Simmons is a pedo. Lets work to get him out".People in this thread always autistically tries to talk about game theory and how the fishes play each other. But the problem is they are not going to vote each other out, Its going to be Sam picking out someone he personally doesn't like with the twitter/fishtank polls as an influence.
Scheming will basically get you nowhere unless you wanna try to sabotage the challenge for someone which they seem too afraid to do after the baby shaking. The true game is to either get Sam to like you or get the audience to like you, which they have really no control over especially towards other people.
Imagine literally selling your soul to Sam Hyde for $10,000.
For the 1in7 CHANCE to win $10K. So selling their souls for slightly worse than a dice roll that takes 6 weeks of your life living with other exceptional individuals far from home.Imagine literally selling your soul to Sam Hyde for $10,000.
Arguable when it comes to getting attention from the other contestants but a bunch of people here and in fishtank chat are still talking about Jon, even if in a negative light, which brings me to the next point:Not been the centre of attention.
Jon's "peaks" have created massive expectations and that shows whenever he doesn't meet them. Jon is suffering from his own success but paradoxically even when he was a boring schizophrenic his nontent still ended up being content, namely the discussions around his reasons for being mopey and his justifications for not being a Lance-type, balls-to-the-wall schizo. I also saw the twitter poll that had Jon and Sylvia as the favorites to leave, as well as a bunch of fishtank chatters being anti-Jon and some people in this thread being annoyed with what they perceive as Jon ruining the challenge and being coddled like a baby, and I think these sentiments are misguided. Remember, this challenge is to last a week and a week ain't over yet. Plus, even though the expectations people have of Jon are massive he does inevitable end up meeting, as he has proven time and time again since the show started. This shit happens every few days with Jon. The Jon cycle is law at this point.
Jon creates Jontent causing people in chat to like him. Jon peaks with the Jontent (i.e the Letty talk last night). Jon spergs out at something causing people to hate him. Crew talks with Jon and calms him down. Jon comes back reinvented. Jon starts producing Jontent causing people to like him. The cycle repeats until fishtank ends.
I think the crew are trying to cultivate the idea that the meta-rule is "be entertaining", which in fact is pretty solidly consistent. I actually think (as some other people said) that Jet and the guys shouldn't meddle too much with the natural flow of things. These people are funnier on their own than when they're being forced into acting retarded on top of their assigned disabilities. The challenges lacking consistent rules is probably the BIGGEST issue. Like this latest challenge, they just went and said "Never mind, no fish bucks for you!" Who would stay motivated to do challenges when now you don't know if you'll even get paid if you "win"?
This is just fucking ironic and I'll leave it at that.Sylvia said she thinks Jon's getting out next since he's not taking the challenge seriously.
When did Jon get a copy of Hagakure? I would definitely enjoy hearing a reading of that just as a change from the Bible. I think some of the aphorisms and advice in there might be useful for him unless of course he takes it literally.
I tend to think most people like Jon in spite of him crying. Also Jon cried several times on the show because he's a retard baby and everyone loved him after that.
Again, like with Sylvia, ironic. Also, I saw people complaining about Jon dissing the troops but did anyone get upset at vance for stealing valour or is that his next arc?Vance says he's pretty confident that Jon's going to be the next one out, considering he's given up on the challenge.
Most likely from Sam, because he praised the book and talked often about it in his streams/PGL.When did Jon get a copy of Hagakure? I would definitely enjoy hearing a reading of that just as a change from the Bible. I think some of the aphorisms and advice in there might be useful for him unless of course he takes it literally.
God I fucking hate the coddling Josie gets shes such a creepy fake bitch and Josiecells should be executedJosie was let off of tourettes because 'she might develop a tic', instead of assigning her a different disability
lol calm downGod I fucking hate the coddling Josie gets shes such a creepy fake bitch
I completely agree with this statement. But they're the most mentally stunted people with a lot of money, so the crew does a good job milking them. I actually am concerned about her when the show's over, she's going to get a lot of stalkers.Josiecels should be executed
