Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

Link & Zelda have been banging in the time period between BotW and TotK, I have no proof but also have no doubts in my mind
If you want proof, then check out this /v/ copy-pasta (I'm not going to bother attaching the images cause they aren't that worth):
>Link’s house in Hateno village has been renamed “Miss Zelda’s house”
>There is only one bed in the house. This is the only confirmed bed in the game that Link can sleep in free.
>There's a dining room inside the house with 2 plates set out
>Zelda had Link build her a personal study connecting to the house, where you can find her diary
>Zelda writes in her personal diary that Link is by her side AT ALL TIMES
>There are drawings of Zelda in her study(Zelda runs a school now)
>His old hair band is found in the house, and somehow come into the possession of Zelda, who has it locked inside a chest in her study
>They’ve been living together for over a year, possibly several.
>The villagers around Hateno ask where Zelda is (implying Link is always with Zelda prior to her disappearance)
>At the various garrisons and forts around Hyrule everyone is always confused to see Link without Zelda, further implying he NEVER travels without her

FURTHERMORE: Paya has a big black bull boyfriend named Tauro. Sidon has a female fish fiance now (sorry fish homos). Mipha is just a memory and isn't even mentioned in TOTK outside of an area named after her. Riju has almost no interaction with Link. Nintendo has effective written out every character that potentially could have been paired with Link.

Midna fuckers devastated, the twili where replaced with goats
I'd prefer modern Nintendo just leave the Twilight and Midna alone. I have zero faith either concept would be done well in the modern age.

Anyway, game looks pretty uninteresting from the leaks I've seen. I haven't bothered to pirate it myself yet, but I was watching the leaks like a hawk and it's hard not to feel totally underwhelmed. The underground is kind of neat, but it doesn't seem like there is much to discover.

The new powers are neat.

This was definitely too big to be a DLC, but it was too small to be a full-fledged 70 dollar release.

Maybe I should stop saying stuff so soon it seems. The thing I said was the final dungeon was part of the pre-dungeon set up, now I'm assuming I'm heading to the actual dungeon. So far this is the best of the 5 (not counting hyrule castle). Seems that the order I did them in was really worst to best.

The pre dungeon you assemble the parts for a fricking mech suit, apparently this is just a thing link has now and you can ride it and attach weapons and stuff to it. It really seems like they left the best for last.

Seems they want you to use the robot for mining the stuff underground, but even when you use the robot to attach stuff, they still BREAK.
THERE IS NO 6th DUNGEON, its literally one room and its just a boss fight with the mech suit. The controls are horribly clunky and I have to fight it to even attach weapons to it. The boss one shots over 10 hearts from one hit, even while riding the mech (which provides zero defense). I actually don't even want to do this fight its just so annoying. The companion AI has been pretty frustrating the entire game, but this mech suit thing might be the thing that drives me crazy. Yes I am heated as I write this.

In other news, this game has made my switch run so hot for so long that the remaining pegs from the top vent have completely vanished, clearly they fell out between yesterday and today (from the heat making the plastic brittle), but I can't find them anywhere around the dock or anything, perhaps they just evaporated entirely. I can't repair the vent because its part of the front screen assembly, meaning I would have to detach the screen from the housing, then re-glue a new housing on.

This time travel plot is so stupid, if zelda went back in time to before everything, why is all the stuff she 'set up' only happening NOW? She could have stopped the 'calamity' that killed millions or whatever, unless this is part of them silently retconning the previous game, or not caring enough to properly do a time travel story.

They also aren't capitalizing words that I think should be capitalized. The secret stones (retarded name) are always lowercase, the gloom that replaced Malice is lowercase as well. The Zonai also have the Sheika eye in their designs, have fun lorefags!

The lost woods and the master sword are gated until you finish the 5 dungeons.

Stamina gate on the sword this time instead of health. Probably 10 upgrades like the sword was in botw. I believe the sword is mandatory to complete the game as well. Have fun speedrunners!

They are setting up this stupid dragon thing as a major plot twist. Even if someone hadn't already posted it its pretty obvious. They are referencing Fi and Skyward Sword and yet at the same time ignoring all their 'lore', so I have no idea what they are doing.

Those asking about villlages, Lurelin has been razed by monsters. Other villages largely the same

Lurelin is this game's village building questline.

So it is now canon that Link pressed "A" in this scene:

A while back I did point out that Nintendo was unlikely to have revealed everything about the game in the prerelease trailers, so it was inappropriate to be completely confident that the game would be terrible. I do feel the need to quote some of the older comments on this thread to rub it in people's faces, but honestly I'm just relieved that people are realizing that mocking people excited for the game was unwarranted.

I have a thought that they had a major change in development, there's a few things that were cut from the game like the ReDead and there's the early cutscene with Link and Zelda with them a pack bull, that wasn't seen in the leak

There's also them saying that the game was going to be "darker than majora's mask" according to early reviews and seem to have a possibly unaccessible twili robe in the game.
So yeah, it's very likely that there was issues with the game development.

Wait, so the game doesn't even have redeads? Then what about those zombie things in the cutscenes and trailers? Honestly, I would've forgiven a lot of this game's shortcomings if it at least gave a wide variety of things to kill with unique combat and hunting gimmicks to keep you exploring and harvesting materials. Instead it just seems to mostly be made up of a handful of enemies that are actually new while the rest are just bokoblin and moblin reskins.

Were even these guys cut?

Also the fact that there are dodongo footprints on Death Mountain in BotW but still no dodongos even now is such a gyp.

At this point it makes me wish they could just come out and say
"The timeline shit died at Link between worlds, all future games will be something else"
Because this retconing the 30 year old timeline is clearly only taken seriously by youtube lore fags and its only proving to be a detriment to new stories, that's why botw did great by not adhering strictly to it and only lightly referencing it.
They should've just been honest about the games having no continuity outside of maybe direct sequels like MM, PH or ST, but even then it shouldn't have been too hard to set up even a decent linear timeline without all of this convoluted timeline split nonsense and theory bullshit.

The zombie things are the Gibdos, those frog things show up in the depths and drop Zonaite.

Is it really proof? All the screenshots just seem to be calling it Zelda's house rather than Link & Zelda's house, and the characters don't seem to act like Link lives there. Even Zelda's diary has her say that Link added a new room in "my house" rather than "our house".

Although maybe the japanese version is more blatant about them living together and Treehouse just censored it because they're fags?

Do you have a full list of new enemies in the game? What about animals? Also any yetis in this game or more settlements in the Hebra mountains?

I have no idea what they are doing.
Neither does/has Nintendo, despite what Lorefags desperately want to believe.

I feel the need to point out that pretty much everything we feared came to pass according to leaks, so I don't understand what the fuck you're going to rub our faces in.

I wish people would realize that mocking consoomers who worship Nintendo is *always* warranted.

I don't have a full list, but no Yetis, and I don't think any new settlements.

From my memory, here are new monsters (not all, from memory):
Likelikes (elemental variations)
Aerocuda
The Trees
Horrorblins (colour variations)
Those depths frog things (small and large variants)
Floormasters
Bossblins (fat moblins)
Zonai construct
Zonai captain
Zonai boss thing (bunch of cubes formed together)
Gibdos
Flying Gibdos
I guess I can count Phantom Ganon since they've re-used the boss 3 times now

There are a few new creatures, but not as many as you would expect. There are ostriches in certain areas, cows and bulls on farms, nothing major.
Treehouse just censored it because they're fags?

Treehouse are still fags.

This is the biggest problem with time travel plots, the "kill baby hitler" dilema.
If there's a threat and the main characters are sent back in time to prepare for it, it inevitable raises the question of
"why not just kill it while it isn't a threat" you have to set up hard rules to the time traveling so that you don't end up with pradoxes and your plot cut to pieces by occam's razor.

Seems like it would be possible to access the final boss right at the start, but the gauntlet is much more than in botw, including all 5 'dungeon' bosses if you don't complete the dungeons prior. Don't know if the master sword is required or not, but its making things easier. Speedrunners are going to have to git good.

Some real fancy volumetric fog effects in the boss arena.

I don't know which is worse, the Treehouse dialogue or the furaffinity OCs.

Anyway, with all this sky islands shit, I'm betting there's no direct references to the Occa or even Skyloft, right? Feels weird how BotW went out of its way to hammer in a lot of connections to Skyward Sword and old game events only to just dump them for the story in this new game, even trying to ignore BotW. Even Hylia doesn't sound that important now.
