- He quickly rose within the sport and was made team captain in his senior year. But he suffered a tragic injury during tryouts. Nick attempted to deadlift a girl weighting 260 pounds over his head. He "tore all his rotator cuffs" in the back of his shoulder. The injury kept him out of competition for six weeks and he still suffers from that injury to this day.
Oh man, I try not to sound like Cynthia or TIC. But fuck you got me mad now. That's not right man, that's not right to be blatantly lying (or lazy) like Nick is.
Tl;WR: If Nick is lying about his shoulder injury and I can prove it.
You are brain dead retarded and should consider taking LTG's advice to KYS if you take this as proper medical advice.
There's three injuries that he could have most likely sustained to the shoulder:
1) Rotator Cuff tear
2) Superior labral anterior posterior (SLAP) tears
3) Subacromial impigment
#3 is not always a tear and lighter injuries may not always require surgery.
#1/2 surgery is not optional if you want to be pain free/mobile.
- Told to not use the arm and ice the arm by the athletic trainer, Wise Nick rejects the advice and goes to the hospital. Inexplicably, he gets no surgery for his horrible debilitating injury but is instead given special exercises which return his torn shoulder and wrecked rotator cuffs to competition strength.
First off, the physical therapist isn't a doctor and you shouldn't take their advice on this. Go see an orthopedic surgeon Nick. If he had a tear as bad he claims he would not be able to function in a day to day role because just the act of dressing yourself would be extremely painful. The way that he described the mechanisim of injury also makes subacromial impigment unlikely.
Second of all, it is literally impossible for a severe rotator/SLAP to be returned to minimal day to day functioning without surgery. Might be possible to return to competition if you're still actively growing with surgery (<20).
There is a specific diagnostic method for this that involves several tests including the following:
- MRI/CT with radionucletide tracers to confirm tear locations
- Resistance tests see if issues are present
These resistance tests include usually
O'briens,
Speed's and
Apprehension tests. Basically all involve the provider providing resistance against the arm placed at an angle and asking if there is a pain. A person with a severe SLAP/rotator tear
would not be able to resist the examiner in O'briens. Only one positive sign is needed to suspect an injury to the shoulder. All three signs have a positivity rate of 98% for SLAP.
The repair for these injuries involve surgical reattachment (or in a minute rotator tear, debridement) via arthoscopy or open surgery. They usually involve stitching the rotator muscle back together, or stapling the ligament back into the bone. It won't be one incision, usually 3 or more incisions ~.75 cm with distinctive scar tissue the size of your fingernail.
There are no incisions on either shoulder during his hotub streams, the Jamaca nude pic, or his tattoo pics on either shoulder.
So either:
- Nick is lying about being injured in the shoulder
- Nick is lying about the degree of injury in his shoulder
- Nick is lazy faggot and doesn't understand what injury he got
- Nick doesn't want to be out for surgery and just drinks his pain away.
- All or some of the above.
- Nick is a master of the martial arts. He has at least 18 years of Tae Kwon Do training including competition at the college level at 155 pounds. He would get up early every morning in college to fight men.
Our venerable fighter of righteous fury should know the following:
Boards, don't hit back.
He's just a contrary bastard and arsehole.
And someone who could be considered economical with the truth, or as Feral Cat would put it "a fucking liar".
