That might've been Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX, it's Ability lets you attach a Basic Psychic Energy from your hand to one of your Benched Psychic Pokémon and draw 2 cards if you do. There's also Zacian V: that one lets you look at the top three cards of your deck, attach any Basic Metal Energy you find there to it, and puts the leftover cards into your hand at the cost of ending your turn.
Outside of that and possibly Oranguru, the best cards I can think of are Zoroark-GX and Minccino.

Still have no idea how to play this fucking TCG and the general playerbase is awful and autistic as fuck in my experience. Convinced most of the ones shilling it are bots.
Why does seemingly every card post B/W have some form of "look through your deck and pick the card you want"? That's just a broken version of "scry" from Magic.
Eh, playerbase-wise it's better than a good amount of the other sections of sanctioned competitive Pokémon (VGC's section and its hack issues, GO's section and the sheer amount of whaling that puts whatever amount the other scenes to shame, Unite's section and whatever the fuck goes on there because keeping up with MOBAs is a thankless task, and the now-defunct Pokken scene having weirdos topping tournaments for more furry porn).
As far as playing goes it's best to pay attention to tournament streams, you learn a lot about the wider meta and see what works and what doesn't.
Oh, and it's worth paying attention to Japanese tournaments as well since they tend to be a preview for what's could good in the coming months. Except for this tournament, Fusion Strike Mew VMAX (a deck archetype that's been around since Late 2021) ended up winning the whole thing despite a couple of new cards being printed in recent sets as hard counters to it. Heck, one of 'em (in this case the Spiritomb the guy on the left puts into play at the 10:02:18 mark, it's Ability causes all Basic Pokémon V to lose their Abilities) is actually used in this video and it gets countered in turn via the Special Energies the guy on the right accelerates via one of the card he plays.
Yeah, and it's not just from boosting HP and damage to obscene levels. It's also from introducing ways to bypass certain limitations, the most noticeable one being Energy acceleration (attaching more than one Energy per turn and occasionally attaching it from areas other than the hand).

I'm getting back into collecting Pokémon cards but only the cards with art that I really like, will the new Magikarp go up in price or will it go down once the new wears off?
Does anyone know any good places to buy old cards? I'm hesitant to use eBay because of scammers.
I did get a shiny Latios in 2 hours. Just no luck with shiny Latias. Had only heard either "idk, never shiny hunted ramanas park" or "odds reset every time you leave".
Dont know if its like shiny hunting roaming legendaries and locks it to non shiny in your save after seeing it once in your pokedex AND saving because you just wanted to play the game again and caught some other pokemon like shiny beldum. You cant leave the room without KOing or running away from the legendary after activating the statue and saving. They will still be there until you catch them. You will just need to get another slate which I already have.
Whoops. That was the wrong hack. I meant Pokémon TCG: Neo. (I downloaded version 1.03 because that was more true to the original cards.)
By the by, I am looking forward to Pokémon October, which is based off the '98 prototype. That was also the hack that got me interested in doing 16-bit indexes, too.
Does anyone else get creepy MTF vibes from melli from arcues? He makes my skin crawl.
I don't tend to "react" strongly to this type of character, I'm hardly transphobic by kiwi standards (I used to lurk for years before making this account and generally think the site went schizo about trannies ever since the "war" with keffals) and I'm not creeped out by flamboyant gay guys but for whatever reason this npc feels eeugh and puts me on edge.
Anyone else?
Obviously the the character is supposed to be cocky and annoying but probably not intended to be creepy.

not mtf just an annoying faggot
japan still likes that stereotype enough to make jokes about it
I'm with you in that it makes me a little skeeved out, but it's hardly uncommon (nor unique to Pokemon) lol
Nintendo Direct dropped a new trailer today
Unfortunately, it is fucking nothing
The most we learned is that double battles are making a return (you just have to pay $35 to do them more than twice in the entire game), Blueberry academy is run by a black dude, and the new town they showed off in Kitakami is called Mossui Town (which was also not given in the trailer- I had to look up new info on the website for that)
The only thing of note is Fezandipiti's hysterically terrible 3D model and the fact that this DLC will be just as barren as the base game if not moreso
also the rivals are still using unevolved shitmons from past games' route 1s lol
EDIT: seriously though, look at that body
I have never seen a worse bird model in my life
EDIT 2: dumping some new official art
EDIT 3: Loyalty Trio has a "Toxic Chain" ability that makes it so that if one of its members hits an opponent with ANY move, they have a chance to become BADLY POISONED. Fucking lol. "Old ability but objectively way better" is my "favorite" trend of new abilities.
Version-exclusives also remain for the DLC, as expected: shown in the trailer, Gligar is exclusive to Scarlet and Aipom is to Violet. Scarletchads stay winning.
Oh, and also, Gimmighoul Chest Form has a 5-star raid with a chance for a shiny now. Why on earth you would ever want a shiny as bad as that one is beyond me, but you can have it if you want.
Still no release date.
EDIT 4: THE GIMMIGHOUL RAID IS BROKEN DO NOT PLAY IT LOL
Has the exact same issue as the reruns of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves did, where it breaks on the rewards screen while trying to load shit in quantities that shouldn't be possible
This is not a one-off occurrence, do not play this raid. It is broken and unfinished. The bug seems to replace every single random reward with x0 tera shards and may sometimes crash your game. It's not exclusive to any languages and affects every version of the game.
No, not that I can tell. Not outside of being a Legendary protector at least.
It looks nothing like Xatu, though. I don't know why you're even comparing the two.
