I think that particular style of commentary video, especially when it has CSGO surfing gameplay as background footage, is attributed to Leafy. I can't say with certainty that he invented it, but I would say he definitely popularized it to a point where they are heavily associated with him. Lucas likely didn't intentionally copy Leafy, but I would say I agree with you that is feels like a shitty copy of a Leafy video. Maybe he forgot that this kind of video was after taking some benzos on a late night "bike ride". What I'm wondering is if people will call him out on Twitter for making a Leafy video. He will probably get super triggered if they do.

Catherine's role in this was kind of interesting. The best way to describe her is; subtly unpleasant. She lived her life with a disappointed scowl on her face, never saying much. When she did speak up it was usually to say something pithy or scathing, albeit in a meek tone. I think you guys are overblowing the Oedipal angle due to that tweet. I never saw anything that indicated motherlust but I think Luke did desire her approval. She was one of the women whose mannerisms he would imitate; he had her posture, her gait, her tone. In spite of this she never seemed to be too affectionate with Luke. The general perception was that he was a bit of a fuckup. When he came out as trans and started transitioning she completely changed around him. She became interested, supportive, outgoing. This had a big impact on Luke imo. I think she always wanted a daughter. Her only other kid was Lukes older brother Brandon; a nerd's nerd computer programmer with a personality permanently stuck in a smarmy 1990's channel awesome inflection. Not much for a mother to attach herself to there. I think she would have overlooked anything for a chance at having a daughter and generally the family was happy to see a change, any change in Luke.

In addition to the point @JamesWebbSlinger brought up about how Lucas LARPs as an intellectual (and a woman) with only surface level knowledge, let's not forget about his old Communist Party Twitter account. Of the numerous genocides you mentioned, ones like the Holodomor and Mao's Cultural Revolution would make communism look bad, so he would probably willingly ignore those ones. If you're on Twitter shilling the USSR and denouncing the west as an oppressive imperialist state, mentioning artificially created mass famines caused by your ideology doesn't exactly help your case.

The funniest thing, it's not even the topic that makes no one wants to see this video. It's Keffals.

Having unfortunately seen the entire video, I have to say I agree. Don't get me wrong, it was still a nothingburger topic, but the biggest issue with the video is Lucas. For these commentary videos, I think a good test of how good they are is if it makes you want to keep going after the intro. Lucas's lifeless and unethusiastic delivery fails spectacularly at this. You legit feel as castrated as Lucas while listening, especially with the disconnect between the energetic gameplay and Lucas's drab audio. From the little of F1NN5TER I've seen from Lucas's video, his voice and delivery are way better than Lucas's, so I am not too surprised he's raking in more views. Also Lucas showing that fucking troon in his video for an extended period of time doesn't exactly help maintain audience engagement. Quite frankly I wanted to blind myself with wood alcohol upon seeing that creature.

Little side thought after some retrospection, but it really feels like this video was made with the intention that you're as fried as Lucas when watching it. Does Lucas want us to swallow back some benzos before watching? You could at least give us a heads up Lucas.
