Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Which side will the vatnegroes support now?
They will claim it's a feint to bait Ukraine into committing its final remaining two thirds of a Leopard 2(which is also equivalent to the combined NATO arsenal) and lose it too. Then Russia along with Wagner will mop up Ukraine and globohomo libtards of twitter will seethe.

And once the war is over it will become exceedingly difficult to find a single person who supported Russia ever in their lives. These vatniks will just become "impartial neutral observers, who had no opinion one way or another"

There is no fucking way Russia can conduct a war like this. Even if Russia doesn't collapse because of this, their chain of command is gone, and you can't undo your high command being in an open war against each other.

In Rostov, the Wagnerians were taking over the city in a very photogenic way.

They use silver plumber's tape as identification. You can see trucks with LNR license plates.

Also the photos clearly show what the tank is doing to the asphalt.

Prigozhin's army is already in the Voronezh region - it is moving towards Moscow

Governor Gusev urged not to use the M-4 "Don" freeway. Columns of Vagnerov's army are moving along it. Two burnt cars, including a truck, can be seen on the highway. Presumably, Defense Ministry helicopters struck. It is not known whether they were mercenaries or civilians. Local blogs wrote that residents in the villages heard gunfire and explosions.

In the Lipetsk region, residents were urged not to travel in the direction of Voronezh. In Moscow Region, APCs and military trucks are preparing to meet the convoy.

I've started seeing reports from credible Russian Sources reporting that some Generals, such as the ones in Roskovin (City? Sp?) appear to have sided with Peiroghi and are taking orders from him.
could you post some source on that?
Would be nice to look over.

The Ukraine War has changed the calculation. Its taken to long, the Boyars are losing money hand over fist, the army bogged down and Prighozin is now a war hero. His enemies in Kremlin probably moved against him and now its war.
Regardless of whatever the Wagner PMC does, Ukraine has lost a lot of territory and the billions it's getting in weapons and aid are straining everyone. The US no longer has the manufacturing power to give them the ammunition they need, and if word on the street is true, Europe is effectively without an arsenal if it keeps up with this.

The Twittersphere is loaded with Ukraine supporters desperate for a break, and they're agitating at this. Ukraine itself wants to launch a counteroffensive because of the internal Russian division, so we'll see how that works out like the first one.

FighterBomber has just announced that 3 Helicopters were indeed Shot Down by Wagner PMC Forces in the Rostov and Voronezh Regions of Western Russia today, this includes 2 Mi-8MTRP-1 Electronic Warfare Helicopters which the Russian Air Force only has roughly 15 of in Total and a Mi-35 “Hind-E” Attack Helicopter; the Crews on both of the Mi-8s Survived but the condition of the Crew in the Mi-35 is Unknown.

Pilots of the downed helicopters claim that they are ordered to attack the breakthrough columns of the AFU. They do not know that they are involved in a conspiracy against the Wagner PMC on the side of the Tuvan degenerate.

The first confirmed Russian on Russian violence? I wonder what happens when the Tuvan degenerate's minions meet the cook's musicians on the ground. It's surprising that nobody intervened so far, surely the Russian homeland was not completely undefended? This makes me wonder even more why those missiles were aimed at Ukrainian cities and not Wagner camps.

The reaction of the people of Rostov is so funny. They treat it like a show for entertainment. Maybe they are right.

People brought picnic lunches to the first battle of Bull Run.

I doubt his hand was forced.
What I have heard swirling, and from his own account, is the wagner position he was staying at got hit by some missiles and then strafed by a gunship. That's pretty hand forcing.

The idea that Putin is going to be deposed by Wagner is not feasible [ ... ] Its also not likely the Russian army would go along with that.
Its not feasible (and this is the big one) unless he get support from military commanders. And from what we've seen, lots of units and commanders are unhappy with how the war has been executed, are not happy with MoD. Chef is doing a Trump - he's not saying anything innovative or intelligent, he's just saying what everyone already "knows". And he's the only one who's actually accomplished a military objective (yes, its a PR shine job but still, PR is important). So I wouldn't put my money on it, but the odds are greater than zero.

case in point.
Prigozhin is in Rostov with General Sergey Kuzovlev, commander of the Southern Military District.

Him using the opportunity to clean his enemies in the MOD makes far more sense.
Cope harder.

Well, shit. Now I really wonder if Ukraine didn't have a hand in this. Russian logistics are fucked, their lines in disarray, and Ukraine's been doing small, local probing attacks trying to find a weakspot...
I said early in this, every Russian general knows a CIA contact. If anyone got a good enough shot at the throne, they all know who to call to sell their souls.

I thought for sure it was going to wait until after Putin was in the ground and the scramble for succession, but I'm pretty sure if I'm getting missions called in on me by my side, the jig is up and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Chef has decided to bend the knee to the Company.

i want to know why wagner is doing this pseudo-coup, is he pissed that there's no clear objective for the war? that russia isn't letting them do whatever they want? that they've been doing most of the grunt work during the war (including taking bakhmut) and getting no credit for it? why did RAF just let wagner take rostov? why did nobody fight back? why is wagner now backing down for no fucking reason? how is this somehow more of a nothingburger than the turkish coup attempt?

His version is he got a missile strike called on him, followed up by helo attack.
He is going to demand the heads of the current MoD Elite (joint chiefs) and probably everyone down to the guy who pressed the launched button. And he very well might get them. but its more likely his rebellion falls apart in the next 48-72 once the Russian army pulls up its pants and gets into gear.

Its the final arc of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Seriously. Nobody is certain who has chain of command, who has sided with the rebels, and who remains loyal. So everybody is polarized.

but its more likely his rebellion falls apart in the next 48-72 once the Russian army pulls up its pants and gets into gear.
Once again, assuming he's not taking orders from someone higher up in the chain.

People think that the MoD was serious about merging Wagner into the regular army and Prigozhin saw an open window of opportunity in his future, so he went all in. If he expected to be killed he might as well stage a false flag attack and go for the throat of his enemies.

People have been predicting this for some time now. I'd be interested in what the Western intelligence community either knows or thinks about the situation.

Putin's speech according to TASS. It sounded a bit different (worse) if you actually listen to it.
It's only 5 minutes long and has the usual historical references and garbage.

Putin is doubling down, I was so sure he was going to deliver the MOD in silver platter to the Wagner, but no, war will it be. He doesn't look well, it seems the only thing left is how will he die or by which hand. During this war I have found myself firmly on the Ukrainian side but seeing this man I once admired brought so low by his own blindness and greed doesn't feel nice.
