Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

If I cut my own dick off is it really some strategic gain for my fucking hands?
Since you can no longer masturbate, it means you are touching your dick less. Handling less dick = you are now less gay. A solid victory against globohomo.

Yes they totally fear the guy most famous for being hyped up to solo conquer Ukraine and yet whose only notable action was retreating from Kherson
No vatnik will ever acknowledge what Blood-n-gutski really did, so I will.
He gave up lots of terrible positions that were just getting Russians killed, ordered the building of real defensive works and ordered that front-supplying ammo dumps be broken up and spread out. This guy was in charge three months and Ukraine is still trying to undo his work - well, what work wasn't already undone by Russian command (lol ammodumps). He was digging in to buy time for Russian forces to get built up to actually be able to respond, instead of just groups of frozen mobliks with rusted AKs and hoping they'll clog up the treads of Ukrainian armor.

With a 4 to 1 advantage and Air, tube, & missile Superiority, Russia doesn't need a brilliant commander. It just needs a competent one. And Russia's only contender for the post was arrested and is about to fall out of a 5th story window.

Ah yes, spending almost a year and tens of thousands of soldiers and insane amounts of irreplaceable material to take a large town whose questionable strategic value has only become more dubious in the wake of russia doing fuck all to capitalise on it, and this not only being the entirety of the gains of the much shilled "winter offensive" but also directly causing the aforementioned coup to happen, is truly and ironically going to enter military annals.
Honestly the men and equipment spent to take Bahkmut isn't that bad; taking a position from a determined and prepared defender is always costly. What's humiliating is that it took them nearly a year to do it, and after dislodging said defenders were unable to press beyond that.

A swamp that pepe and his friends have furiously denied and will continue to deny ever existed.
The first step in draining the swamp is arresting the only guy trying to build the drains, obviously.
Competence is dangerous.

I just don't trust the WaPo to report accurately and they always cite leaked sources that nobody but them has access to or "anonymous officials" saying whatever. Their reporting is also deliberately misleading and contains falsehoods. There is an illusion of many outlets saying the same thing but if you read the article they usually quote the WaPo, or occasionally some other similar trash publication that provides no evidence either. So I remain agnostic until someone puts up something resembling evidence.
I want to say I saw that from sources that weren't just WaPo. But again, even if true, my assumption is Prigozhin was just shitposting.

For those interested in donating, I found a legit charity taking collections for NVGs, armor, drones, etc. Their operating costs are low, so most of the money goes directly towards the items needed.

It really sucks, but the market has become flooded with shady "charities" taking donations for Ukraine. At this point I'd be surprised if even half of the people begging online (FB, Telegram, Twitter) are above board, so don't put much stock in blue checkmarks or verified redditors shilling for charities. But there are some, and it's not hard to figure out which ones are decent.

And now for the requisite memes & gratuitous drone footage:

The United States has no problems with getting bases in all kinds of countries and even the British negotiated some ports for their use, so how come Russia is the one country that resorts to violence and threats and gets nothing they can't take by force?
Because russia's political culture has been hijacked by mindless retard nationalism since the 00s which has resulted in a massive sense of entitlement for all the perks of being a global superpower/major power without actually putting in any effort beyond threats of violence, since any voice suggesting diplomacy/trade/building halfway positive relationships is met immediately by bloated alcoholic propagandists babbling about how anything short of detonating a nuke in the country they want something out of as a show of force is treason, at which point the sane voice is unable to answer back without being tarred as unpatriotic.

Maybe Russians should rethink their foreign policy? Maybe stop being lying pieces of shit and breaking every treaty? Maybe stop gloating about crimes against humanity? Maybe reconcile with neighbors and build normal relations instead of waging unceasing cultural and economic war against them, bribing politicians and financing uprisings?
As said above, this would require russias's political and media sphere to stop actively and aggressively (and all to often legally and/or violently) punishing any suggestion that russia might have done something wrong, or should change its tactics, but since pushing this bullshit is an easy way for political hacks to bury opposition and get asspats this is never gonna happen organically.

Say what you like about how utterly cringe the "anti colonialist" theatrics in the west are, atleast the presence of an active....if unfathomably annoying and retarded....counterpoint to mindless patriotism and nationalism forces by its nature those on the patriotism bandwagon to actually halfway moderate shit so as to not feed the retards and to try and build halfway sturdy justifications for their own ideas and to refute the retards whining about how muh-burgerland-genocided-600-gorillion-injuns or muh-bongland-empire-caused-6-trillion-faminocides-and-had-only-empire-in-history.

Give shitbags in society state backing to the point of violent censorship to remove any and all dissent of this kind and sure you get rid of the cringe, but at the cost of infecting yourself with absolute fucking cancer as now edgetard nationalism has zero checks or inhibitors and will now make shit unfathomably worse for everyone inside and out the country and system

They also see western media report all kinds of bad things about their country, their army, their weapons, while Chinese and Russia media publish nothing but successes and fluff pieces about their newest Wunderwaffe that is far superior to devil west. And the cattle blindly believe it. The same way cattle in the West believe all their media. But according to the idiots, our media are all lies, but media directly owned and controlled by corrupt authoritarian governments are ones that do investigative journalism and tells us the truth. Facts and logic are Jewish mind tricks to seduce the enlightened away from their perfect social media reality.
Personally I categorise such shills into six fairly distinct categories though there is often severe overlap.
  1. The Literal Grifter: Figures either lacking the talent to stand out in their field (journalism/think-tankery/punditry/etc) at home in the west, or having irreparably torched their own careers in said field due to incompetence, instability, or some criminal activity that makes them utterly radioactive for any mainstream outlet, wannabe mainstream outlet, underground outlet with a brain, or niche outlet with a conscience, and thus forces them to sign up for either z list blogs that make money on the following three categories, or literal russian/chinese state media as a "even this westoid knows we are right!" pet. Think Scott Ritter, George Galloway, and others on the very literal payroll of RT/Sputnik or various overtly russia aligned and supported think tanks.
  2. The Attention Whore: Terminally online figures of theoretical note who have latched on to a dozen internet shitfights before and will do so a hundred times again, and with the pro-ukraine/anti-russian side saturated with far more capable, networked, and resourced attention whores, they instead choose to be loud mouthed edgetard cheerleaders for russia going out of their way to screech the most demagogic and overtly bullshit narratives out so they get a precious glut of internet points. Think Ian Miles Cheong, Kim Dotcom, Jackson Hinkle, and others who will contradict themselves a dozen times a day so they can put the edgiest bullshit in favor of russia/demeaning ukraine on twitter to farm updoots.
  3. The Autistic Culture Warrior: Even more terminally online figures, lacking the attention whore's slight self awareness and self aggrandisement, these veterens of every internet political slapfight from gamergate to the 2016 election to the summer of floyd to today, see the war and its coverage as yet another front in their eternal culture war against current-year-globohomo-woke-retard-yadda-yadda-yadda solely because figures and institutions they hate as part of this war have declared their support for Ukraine and opposition to russia. These are the kind of specimens who would defend a serial rapist because they hate the local sheriffs department and like to think that each new victim is yet another defeat for their enemies, even if said enemies are not only in the right in this instance but are actively benefiting from both the proverbial serial rapist's crimes (due to more funding) and the fact their loudest critics are now simping for a proverbial serial rapist. These are usually more low level specimens though Tucker Carlson could be considered a notable though likely disingenuous example.
  4. The Literal Schizo: Straight up crazy people. The kind you find on bitchute spamming videos about the reptilian elders of zion great-resetting the white race away through baphomet inspired drag story hour. I.e. the ones mentally impaired and desperate for affirmation enough to actively seek out any and all fringe conspiracy bullshit and just mindlessly add them to their mental hoard.
  5. The Bitter Ex-Expert: These are the guys who since the days of the cold war, sometimes since the literal 1960s, have built careers and prestige on their claimed expertise on russia and how super super mighty it totally is, how superior and rugged its weapons and military are, and how the west could not possibly stand against russia without destroying itself and how the west needed to allow it to conquer its own sphere of influence without opposition because muh nuclear war risk and such. In this number are also included those who similarly built careers and prestige on their claimed expertise on how unique westoid evil is and how logical and moral and smart russia (among others) is by comparison. These same guys also witnessed all their status and respect come crashing down overnight as the the titan they claimed to know the secrets of turned out to be an absolute joke unable to do a fraction of what they promised it could, and thus they have been desperately trying to cope and hope things back to the way they were so they dont have to face up to the fact they are now laughing stocks respected by nobody. Think Mearsheimer and Chomsky to an extent Kissinger
  6. Roger Waters: Boomer/pre-boomer leftist celebrities who lost basic cognitive function in the 70s due to substance abuse who learned from a young age that screaming WEST BAD no matter the circumstance got them asspats, and so will do so now even when it entails cheering on violent wannabe fascist imperialism. Tend to be narcissistic to the point of parody and have often been seen smugly lecturing the victims of the fascist they support of how they actually had the invasion coming and deserve being bombed because they are not surrendering.

The US has a history of making deals going all the way back to the founders. I hope that spirit continues and grows again. The US purchased property it wanted instead of warring or as terms after beating an opponent in war. I don't think you'd see many countries doing the same. The US also has a history of not completely fucking people over in the same way Russia and other people do but foreigners love to cherry pick.

How are they procuring NVGs? Does europe treat them the same as the US does? Can you even export NVGs easily with ITAR?

Minor correction, I don't think the Kirovs ever visited the Black Sea, and they're basically the only big ships that weren't built in the Ukrainian yards. I think you're actually thinking of the Kiev's and Kutnetsov's which are totally "heavy aviation cruisers", and definitely not aircraft carriers that would be subject to the Montreux Convention, but otherwise yeah your point stands.

They're battle cruisers not battleships because battleships aren't allowed through. The "aviation cruisers" were built in Sevastopol and their designation was never challenged because the US didn't see any issue with shitty Russian aircraft carriers and decided not to escalate the issue.

There seems to be some sort of theme where NATO lets Russia get away with some shit they don't have to as to not escalate situations but Russia never misses an opportunity to screech and play acelerationist fuckfuck games.

I'm not a fan of Ukrainian diplomacy in general, I think it's aggressive to a point of alienating the electorate of donor countries, though I understand why they are upset with the endless delays and everything getting delivered six months after it was needed in half the numbers requested at the time, paying in the blood of their citizens and cities being reduced to rubble for the time wasted.
I get your point, however I think he's learned from watching niggers and dune coons bend over the Eurocuck governments. They only respond to repeated, aggressive, public shaming.
Due to what I can only assume is a pan-european humiliation kink.

More frontline tactical unicycle/monowheel:

Each charity does it different, depending on the needs of whatever brigade they're helping. Some have work with manufacturers & suppliers directly, buying at wholesale or overstock rates & sending the items to Ukraine, others present a check for however much is collected to the brigade, which buy the needed supplies through their own official channels (suppressors, armor, ammunition, etc).

And as far as I know, thermal optics aren't restricted under ITAR, unless the buyer is in a sanctioned state (i.e. Russia, N. Korea, Iran, etc). Some of the components for manufacture may be regulated, but the way things are now, nobody in Ukraine or the US/Europe is going to raise any objections with a couple dozen FLIR scopes being shipped in by charities.

That's some good ragdoll physics. After the drone grenades, it was all mines exploding, right?

And speaking of OSINT autists who can geolocate anything:

Initial rounds were drone-delivered, then Ukrainian infantry showed up with some of their own, but the one big blast was mine-sized. Looks like he picked the wrong place to hunker down; that, or a tossed Ukrainian grenade caused a sunken AT/anti-vehicle mine to sympathetically detonate. In any case, he really stuck the landing.

First, they developed a naval version, the S-300F/SA-N-6. They were listed as Anti-Air due to treaties but included ability to easily reconfigure the system into anti-shipping missles by locking onto surface targets (There is some sperg about how the system integrates with the ship's RADAR I'll skip). The other was to develop a nuke-tipped 5V55, to let you launch tacnuke strikes from your S-300 systems.
That sort of thing is laughably easy. The missile doesn't care what its aimed at so long as the radar its hooked up to can see it. Terrier and Talos, the USN's first SAM systems, could go after surface ships no problem. There's pics out of there of a destroyer escort we used as a Talos target using a dummy practice warhead and it turns out a top-attack strike from a 3,400 pound missile will damn near break a destroyer escort in half, warhead or not. Especially since said warhead had about 50% more high explosive inside than that of a 16"/50 HC shell at 225 pounds, so it would be more than enough to completely wreck just about anything afloat. When used as an AA weapon it actually got a two-for-one special on some MiG's in Vietnam once as there was enough debris in the air after detonation to knock out the first guy's wingman as he flew through it.

The missile doesn't need to know where it is so long as the ship knows where the missile is.
Doesn't the S-300 have a 50-90km range? Who the fuck are they going to find willing to light off a nuke 50km from where they are standing, while still being sober enought to push the button? Why not just give them a thermonuclear hand grenade to throw?
Nukes are extremely powerful, but kiloton scale nukes are not weapons of total obliteration like popular imagination makes them out to be. Just near-total obliteration. BOAR was designed to let a frickin' Skyraider deploy 20kt yield warheads (or about 25% more powerful than Little Boy), and that had a range of just 12km and the plane was expected to be in the air and subjected to the full blast effects. Enola Gay was 16km away when Little Boy went off, 18.5km from the detonation point when the blast wave hit the plane, and they all came back alive and well. Besides, any sort of intervening terrain like hills or buildings drastically cuts down on the blast wave, which outside the immediate detonation area where you're cooked alive is the most dangerous part of the detonation. Just wear dark goggles, go prone behind something sturdy, and don't look at the new sun and you'll be fine.
In defense of those things, they were given to front line soldiers in West Germany. These were the tripwire units that were there to literally die for the flag and justify intervention. Strategic Planners assumed that if they were going to die anyway, they may as well allow them to go out in style.
It also only had a yield of 20 tons of TNT, and could be remotely fired once loaded, so crews were instructed to load it on top of a hill or rise, head down the reverse slope trailing a trigger wire behind them, and then go prone before hitting the button, which would keep you pretty damn safe, especially since it had a 2km range. The US military was not expecting these guys to die. Yet, anyways.
During the beginning of the war, I near burnt out my retinas looking for Russian naval assets; stuff like Putin's yachts, subs, certain patrol boats & frigates, etc. I'd say that painting them in such a way *could* help hide them from people using lower resolution/OSINT imaging; but probably not so much for shit like Global Hawk, while the CIA & NSA laugh in Keyhole (KH-11+).

That's the 2019 photo Trump leaked of the Iranian space program's latest success story, and is suspected to be from Key Hole. 10cm/4in per pixel resolution, which is just about enough to measure someone's dick size.

Russia's only link will be the Kersch bridge
Unless it's not collapsed by combination of storm Shadow cruise missiles, GLSDB and HIMARS by then, the bridge is already in the range of two former.

Last Saturday Russia retreated their entire army from Nuclear plant on the Eastern axis, after shutting cooling systems and surrounding reactors with high yield anti armor mines. This looks like beginning for a false flag operation. Could you imagine Putin getting so asshurt over this "operation" to risk Chernobyl 2.0 then think anyone would believe accusations coming from Russia, subhumans who started this shitshow

That's some good cold war shit.

Again, this wasn't hard to bake in.
The Naval-attack mode was using the ships's surface RADAR instead of the anti-air. But having never manned an S-300 so having to trust the internet, supposedly the ground attack magic is being about launch at targets RADAR can't see and the ability to input coordinates and having the computer program the missile with the flight trajectory for you.

Unless it's not collapsed by combination of storm Shadow cruise missiles, GLSDB and HIMARS by then, the bridge is already in the range of two former.
The question is if Ukraine would want to. In addition to perhaps not wanting the civilian population to starve, if they take out the bridge it makes it harder for the Russians to retreat. Every russian soldier not growing sunflowers back inside Russia is the end goal here, after all.

Bless his simple beekeeping heart. This is the kind of shit that makes me want to go help with mine disposal; at least when the shit stops, since I promised my family I wouldn't go while rounds are still flying.

While not directly related to the war, I found this quite an interesting discussion (which is unusual since I usually find Cappy to be kind of a tool) on developing laser weapons to counter UAVs and loitering munitions:

Obviously given how the war in Ukraine is going in terms of massive proliferation of drones and shit it's an interesting little look at the work going into countering them.

You need to stop approaching the Omnissiah blessed technology of ERA like an inferior human and consider how it plays in the glorious machinations of the machine god.
Back in 5E when I still actively played, I modeled the Extra Armour for my many, many, Iron Hands vehicles as ERA rather than the boring Forge World extra slab armour option. I think I even made an ERA'ed up Dreadnought for a joke at one point.

Omnissiah also approves that horrific tank profile which is Leman Rus.
You talking madshit for someone in Battle Cannon range...
