China restricts exports of high-tech metals in a slap at Washington ahead of Yellen's visit

Ah, so that is why my stocks on mining companies suddenly jumped.

Thanks Xi!

The US is probably the ONLY Empire in history that did not want to be an Empire and the population universally hates the idea.

That fucking hotwheels cunt FDR was determined to push his shit and rebuild america on his New Deal fascist shit to undermine the American Project with his own Proto-Globalist nonsense.

Fuck FDR like 50% of everything wrong with the USA nowadays can be tracked directly to him and his bullshit. Another 10% to Herbert Hoover dropping the ball after 1929 and not allowing for free trade and instead pushing tarrifs, and 35% on Woodrow Wilson for his own retatded Anglophilia pushing for WW1 participation. 5% bonus for other guys to share.

GET BACK TO WORK!

Basically, they want all the couples to go back to two income households, that way they can claim two jobs created (for half the pay needed).

They'll probably claim it's to help single mothers though.
"Continue to be a cog while we convince your son to cut off his dick."

Yes, the banners I've see are 15/hour for the first 40 hours, then back to the normal for the company.

At this point these are supplemental jobs for income that never returned after the Chyna virus, these are not new jobs. And in a month or two they will be revised down. That 497,000 will turn out to be 200,000.
The Obama administration was notorious for that - they’d declare all these jobs that got created and almost every month it got revised downward. All they care about and what most people pay attention to is the original announcement. However these days it’s demanding that people disbelieve their lying eyes.
Who do they expect to do these jobs exactly? Niggers steal, sell drugs, and collect welfare. Illegals do cleaning and construction/labor both of which pay more than 7.25/hr.

Does a labor pool even exist for this shit in 2023?

I just corpos would be honest and say what they really want which is slave labor.
No it doesn’t. The real issue is that automation isn’t happening fast enough because it’s cheaper and less risk to hire slave labor. Those wages are artificially low - they hire people at slave labor rates and then those employees get on welfare so we taxpayers end up paying for the low wages employers pay. In a sane world, the government would send the bill to places like Walmart for all the social services the rest of us have to pay because of their shit pay and no benefits. So realistically those wages are never the true costs.

It’s just an outdated model which is why jobs that pay shit are struggling to get filled. Like you point out, they import millions of essentially brown slaves but they are just smart enough to realize they could just get a bunch of gibs instead and sit on their asses. But they provide Democrat votes, which is why nobody is addressing this issue of several million (likely dozens by now) immigrants who don’t and won’t work. But suburban and urban white women think it’s mean to expect them to do work so here we are.

I don't know how widespread this is but a friend in food service claims this is a bait and switch thing where they advertise $15 an hour and then sneakily have you sign a contract saying it's only fifteen for three weeks or whatever then it drops back down to minimum wage.

Any service wagies able to confirm that?
The asterix is by the "Full Time". "Full Time" is 40 hours. McSlaves work 35 hours and will be asked to work another 15 past that where where 4.5 hours will be logged and the other 10.5 won't.

I just looked at the unemployment numbers and just realized why they were so low. They only counted people looking for work not people who were unemployed and out of the labor force. Currently there are 105 million working aged Americans completely out of the labor force. They are ocounting the 6 million that are unemployed but looking for work.

That would put actual unemployment at 52.5% or a little more than half the potential laborforce Jesus fucking christ.

How do wagies clock their hours? Back in college my jobs had a digital inking punch card that the boss had to keep for audit purposes. Even the time clocks I've used in the past few years that are all digital logs all of the edits and changes to an employee's punches. There's a solid paper trail so time theft doesn't happen.

Yeah I am gonna have to ask to know where exactly that number comes from cause last I heard the only the the USA had such unemployment numbers was at the height of the Great Depression and things are bad but not THAT bad.

Right?

In the 19th century, nobody else picked up the tab for your food, housing, and medical care, so most immigrants just went home.

Was the first google result. It says 99 million which adds up to 105 if you add the 6 million they actually count.

I mean coming off a complete shutdown of the economy for the flu it makes sense I guess. I'm completely dumbfounded there's no way its that bad.

Edit*
This is still a horrendous number but isn't quite as bad as these same people looking for work and being unable to find a job. There's plenty of work available people are just refusing to work now probably due to the lockdowns and stimulus checks making people unmotivated.

Finagling the numbers and moving the goalposts with technicalities. Natch.

It's infuriating that they just keep doing this with no consequences. We literally had a recession last year, and they successfully memory-holed it by changing its definition.

Meanwhile, I continue to pay more and more for fewer and fewer grocery items, while Krugman and Yellen proclaim that inflation is over and everything is peachy thanks to Bidenomics. I'm just imagining my bank accounts getting drained.

I agree with you they shouldn't bullshit the numbers since it's a reckless thing to do, but admiting that unemployment is that high would murder what's left of the US economy.
