Canada is a failed state

The authors of that article must be ignorant or on some kind of Chinese super-fentanyl because everyone knows Canada's 'growth' is fictional paper growth driven solely by the real estate bubble. All measures of real growth are flat or down sharply.
Nothing screams healthy society like billionaire foreigners using the ability for Canadians to live to gamble.

I have long been of the opinion that growth in Canada has been stagnant for years, possibly nearing a decade. The Federal Liberals, are the remains of the Ontario Liberal Party. Most of the staff jumped ship and joined up with Trudeau. The OLP implemented a lot of measures that directly impacted economic growth, under the false assumption that you can run an economy made up entirely of people who only answer emails.

On top of that, for anyone who forgot or doesn't know, the OLP would court foreign money and think tanks, by promising to implement whatever policy plan they championed, using Ontario as a testbed. Like peak hours for electricity, and the wind farms are at the top of my head. Also Wynne screaming about how you have to vote for her or you're homophobic. Now we have had John Oliver running a segment on Harper, and then the Clinton Foundation got paid 20 million? Remember when people were talking about carbon taxes and Canada implemented them, and suddenly that conversation ceased? Canada's suicidal immigration plan to grow to 100 million, championed by a guy who lives in Hong Kong? All the WEF fuckery?

The Liberals had Hillary Clinton speak at their convention, basically admitting who owned them.

There's a crackpot economist who has argued that pretty much all western economies have been lying in their official cost of living estimates by shifting from a fixed basket of goods (i.e. household staples held constant throughout time) to equivalent goods (which allows for "consumer choice" in accepting lower quality items and living standards). Stuff like cost of housing is not appropriately reflected in inflation statistics, and this permits you to claim GDP growth even as the real economy shrinks as it's parasitized by rent seekers.

He mostly focuses on the US, but the arguments still hold water for the Canadian economy. http://www.shadowstats.com/article/no-438-public-comment-on-inflation-measurement

The author, John Williams (no relation to the musician), has come under some criticism by fellow academics, so I'll just say to take his numbers with a grain of salt. It's still worth mulling over because of the massive effect that inflation and cost of living estimates play in defining whether an economy is in a recession or growing. If the Cuban blackface enthusiast's government fudges the stats just enough, it would allow them to claim everything is A-OK in Ontario even as it sinks into a depression.

It's feel good nonsense, I mean look at this:
The rebate is designed for individuals who make $32,000 or less and families who make $38,000 or less.
Who the fuck qualifies for this? It's a rebate that will cost nothing, help almost no one, and let them say "we did something".

Canada's extreme lack of freedom of speech, Trudeau's extreme human rights abuses and horrible crime statistics in many cities amongst anything has made Canadians paranoid over the Littlest things. Go figure.

I also theorize most LGBT sidewalk vandalism is done by the media to gaslight white Canadians.

Where I saw that comment about Regina Saskatchewan.
Yeah actually, when I saw that error I thought it was over boys. I've been telling my phone for a while that if it is listening I am definitely on a list. Actually, I had a friend from high school placed on the Terrorist Watch List because he made an underground student ran newspaper that was critiquing the teachers and exposing a lot of shit. I have NO ability to say my mind in my own fucking nation. Every single day I have to catch myself. Even topics or ideas I think aren't even that bad or taboo are strictly forbidden.

I've been talking to more Americans and It really is true guys, we live under socialist soon-to-be communist rule. All the little things that make me mad, and I mean see red are shred feelings when they are blown away by some of the shit I bring up to them. Which cements my unbridled rage and anger.

I really did think that it was over for me, like that was fun while it lasted. Are the feds going to show up soon as well?

This is the ONLY place that exists where I am allowed to say whatever the fuck I want, however I want, whenever I want and to whoever I want. I never knew how bad it was until I started having the "Wrong opinions" where I knew I was fucking right.

and they wonder why national pride is at a all time low. Hell forget pride; I’m downright embarrassed to be Canadian

Hey God, it's me again. I don't ask for much, you don't tend to deliver anyway, but just this once - please have a rezzie be the one to tell Castro Jr that this is retarded. No wonder no one's ever actually proud of being Canadian - we've been spineless since we got all our aggression out in WW1 and probably being a reason behind a fair few bits of the Geneva Conventions

If I could afford to, I swear I'd move to Florida. Least there my death would have good odds of at least making a funny headline.

I love when the government gives me some of my own money(that they took)!

Recently I learned that my ancestors have been here since the early 1800's. I still feel no connection to this fake gay country. But I do mourn for WW1 era Canada. Wish I got to live there.

And expect Canadians to eat this shit up, despite the money being miniscule.

My experience is that these shameless pandering rebate-style cheques go over best with Internet-less, fixed-income seniors whom get all their outside news from the TV.

Their loyalty can be bought by whomever last sent them a random bonus hundred dollars.

I hate this country because it hates me. It's actively working to turn me into an impoverished minority in my own home. If I could I'd have moved to the States already. At least they let you own a gun.

You likely make too much money to benefit from this. Its for the immigrant grifters who came here as "skilled labor" and the only labor they do is lining up at the highway on ramp to beg for change after they go cash their government cheques. These programs never benefit the people who they are meant to.

I should have posted that one on the Coronavirus thread but it's rare to see a good news about Canada.
A recent ruling by the Canadian Armed Forces Grievance Board (CAFGB) found that the Canadian Armed Force’s (CAF) mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy violated the Charter rights of a member who was released for refusing to get vaccinated.

The CAFGB is in charge of reviewing official grievances launched by CAF members.

In its ruling, the CAFGB stated that the CAF’s vaccination policy infringed on the member’s right to liberty and security of the person under Section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The watchdog also found that the policy, which came in place at the height of the pandemic via an order by General Wayne Eyre, was arbitrary, overly broad and disproportionate.
