Would tard homes use little trackers that look like fitbits to gps lock on residents that are allowed to go shopping independantly?
I think it's highly unlikely.
If he's an active escape risk, that band could be easily broken off.
If it's for more "demented wandering", that band is not going to stop someone from wandering into a busy road- you need eyes on someone who wanders like that, not a tracker.
I can't imagine something that little has much range- so is it synced to someone's phone? This just gets into weird hippa data retention law space. You'd have to have a company smartphone or something. Who has the money for that?
I think it's a knock off fitbit pedometer Chris wears because autism, or even some piece of jewelery/silicone band with a magic spell etc on it. Even an identifier tag like people with allergies wear, or a pride tag.
I also think you guys kinda overestimate the effort the tard staff would put into rehabilitating Chris. Complicated schemes are too complicated for everyone to follow through on, most of all Chris. He's not a kid with an IEP. I'm sure he's not allowed to use social media or maybe the internet at all. I'm sure they have rules about cleaning, and routines in general. Are they sitting him down daily to go through Christory and beat the autism out of him? No.
I haven't had clients who were online lolcows but I've had clients who were on shows like Judge Judy and Dr. Oz. Not to mention the local newspapers. In the back office we all watched the clips and went "whoooah." That was it.
