I personally don't mind their MK9 looks but that might be nostalgia fagging. I liked that they took the classic looks and made them a little more fancier aside from color. Now MKX on the other hand....yeah, idk. I didn't love those.

And tbh, the masks here don't really match the outfits IMO.

Unrelated but Sub-Zero's MK3 outfit sucked ass and I will die on that hill.

Yeah, it's a bit unearned when we are three games into the new timeline. I'll stick around and see where things go....and if we're gonna get yet another fucking reboot because they wrote themselves into a corner - yet again.

Yeah, I fucking hated that too. It bodes bad things when Jacqui had a better ending than her dad - while being 10x a worse character.

I don't think I would hate the last trilogy's outfits so much if it didn't have so many worthless armor pieces and they just wore cloth. I actually liked MK11 Scorpion and Sub Zero's designs if they removed the shoulder pads and any other armor pieces.

This was a nice take on the classic MK2 look with the pointy shoulders with the UMK3 modern mask.

And yeah, the masks in MK1 was shit because they don't jive with the rest of the outfits. Smoke's mask is so fucking hideous.





I really didn't give a shit about the newer characters brought in MKX. Although I didn't necessarily hate Cassie in MK11.

At least with Armaggedon it felt somewhat justified, given how it was to be expected most of the huge cast to be killed off and maybe WB thought it was better off a fresh start for every character but they clearly havent done a good job at it. This time it feels desperate to appeal to more nostalgia of the classics...but they still wont make a remaster of the OG trilogy for some fucking reason

I recall Boon saying that he plans for a remaster. But then I see nothing of it and people talk about balancing issues, porting, and emulation troubles, which apparently means they'd have to remake the games from scratch.

I do think it's available over at GOG but that's PC only.

So while we wait for news, I went to the Mortal Kombat channel for anything interesting that's not devs blabbering and I saw they uploaded the official theme song.

It's uh...boring. But I don't think I have a right to say that because my favorite theme will always be the good old klassic techno theme.

Anyway, I got curious and watched the Mortal Kast thing which is the devs blabbering I mentioned earlier.

If you didn't tell me that Cage in 1 was meant to be Cage, I'd never would have guessed it. Not in a million years. Even so, his face is so uncanny, it's really unsettling to look at.

No, she looked more Egyptian. Except in MK4 where she looked pretty black. Least now it makes sense why she turns on people.
So far the only thing I've seen that I liked is the return (sort of?) of Animalities.
The faces continue to look worse and worse with each passing game. Unreal Engine can do way better than this. Seems Warner told them to make the women as ugly as possible which is becoming quite normal in Western games. I'll probably stick with Street Fighter 6 this gen. It has Cammy still so it's the better game.

Overall from both trailer. Rate me optimistic, autistic, dumb or MATI.
I think Li Mei looks fine; Tanya looks ugly as shit; Baraka is absolutely kino.

If Warner has ever even listening intently to fans; they could have picked a much better face model to Tanya instead of this ugly ass bitch that acts as her face model. Just goddamn make her face look as pretty as Cleopatra or as pretty as Kitana’s face model in MK1. The voice actress of Sojourner could not save her at all.
Dreadlocks looks hideous to me and I prefer if she retains some of her notable charms such as straight inverted bob and glowing eyes. This irks me that most Western hemisphere companies just decided on the worst fucking face model for some characters.

Baraka is absolutely killing it, especially with a much more monstrous and scary ass look. I am a big fan of monstrous and humanoid creatures; so he is a pass to me, alongside with Li Mei.

Holy shit, Ermac really needs a revision for his design; by a look of it, I was so MATI that I want WB to take their time and redesign my man to really look more recognizable.
