Nick attacks Monty for no reason(at least none that I am aware of). Monty is someone who is known as litigious. You can take this one of two ways Nick is a retard and attacks people for the shiggles. Nick is a bigger retard and wanted to get sued so he can have his victim complex.
Monty most likely gave room for an apology before proceeding with the lawsuit. And the initial statement was just some off hand drunk ramble on stream and retracting and apologizing for it initially would likely get memory holed so fast he would lost no credibility in the punch yourself in the balls community to show how tough you are.
Nick then doubles down and hires some big dick freezed peaches lawyer. And to add the cherry on top he makes a fundraiser and goes on a propaganda push about how this is a free speech issue.
Now there are many ways to look at it like focusing on the hypocrisy. But I'm stuck to how Nick reacted when the troons started filing bar complaints against him and he decided to full retard and publish the full names and addresses, which in no way could be construed as intimidation. And when bar said he's an idiot he started kicking up a storm about free speech. He once again did something without thinking and then when faced with consequences he doubled down and made shit much worse for himself.

Remember that highlight from the LOCALS stream where he thinks that grading at paid universities will go away? He said is was a GOOD thing, because if you pay a lot of money for something (e.g. a Harvard degree), why would you want to do that if you get a lesser grade and less worth in a degree?
He implies that money should be the only factor and people should not get an advantage for working harder than other people. He also implies that the laziest person who deserves 'D' grades should get the same outcome as a dedicated 'A' student. This undermines the whole idea of merit based scholarships that would go away with formal grading, making it a pay-to-play game.

We also suspect that he has always been a rich and coddled child (now ascended to man-child). These statements make it clear that he thinks like a heedless noveau riche person--throw enough money at it, and you can make the problem go away. Nick never had 'fuck you money'; he just thought he did. He is quickly finding out how he fucked around.
All the others have explained most of it, and the only part I can recall that has not been recounted is the story he told of their first meeting.
Nick was fresh out of law school and looking for a job. He went into Schneider's office, seeing if they were taking on lawyers. They said they were not, but they talked with him for a few (3?) hours or more and eventually offered to let him set up an office in their basement or small annex. All he would have to pay is electricity and internet. They also offered to help him out occasionally if he had questions as a new lawyer.
Allegedly, when he called back within a week, everyone in the office had amnesia about it. He thought it was weird, but let it go. It did not bother him.
A little while later he had a case against them, and supposedly demolished their council in court. Total annihilation. Afterwards, he had to go to their office for paperwork, and he dropped a large turn in their washroom that 'tore it up. Absolutely demolished it' then left.
He told this story on a Friday stream or LOCALS stream of total scatological pwnage.
