I consider this elderly abuse.
So Bob's mom has mental issues, I see. I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree.
You think that Ma Chipman looks at how her sons turned out and wondered how it would have gone if she'd had more daughters instead? Considering how little their sister shows up in this thread, it seems she's the most well-adjusted Chipman sibling, though it's more of a win by default.

I agree. The Critical Drinker should stick to adult movies and leave the likes of
Barbie to Bobby.
For those that wanted to do a fallacy bingo, you can mark off
argumentum ad populum on your cards.
Obviously, Drinker's review was more than just "pink movie make me feel bad

". A fair chunk of it was discussing how the marketing team did a fantastic job hiding how Barbie was nothing but a man-hating feminist screed, and how it was a major disappointment that a movie that looked like a goofy romcom turned out to be so spiteful. As people in the thread here on the farms have said, the movie ends with the Kens being subjugated by the Barbies again "until women are treated equally in the Real World." No message of finding common ground and striving for equality, nope, let's just make the dumb himbos our slaves again!
I have doubts that Barbie's gonna have legs, ironically. Word's already getting around that it's nothing like the trailers suggested, and it doesn't matter how much pink you coat your feminist preaching in, people don't really want to subject themselves to two hours of that. It's riding high because it was painted as something lighthearted and fun, but word of mouth can be a killer.
Meanwhile Lesser Brother and his pals have more grown-up tastes.
I would like to point out that Bob has yet to release a review for Oppenheimer. Whether this is because he didn't get to go to a press screening, he hasn't gotten around to seeing it himself, or he's nursing that Nolan hateboner, Bob's failing to be timely on one of the biggest movies of the summer.
I am 100% positive that if he ever does post a review, it will be less than the 9/10 he gave Barbie, all because the Wrong People like Nolan's movies.
We were Kweenz and dat.
I am not a comics expert (but neither is Bobby), but I have literally never heard of this character. Maybe she has a storied history in the DC universe, but if she does, it'd be news to me. She looks like a diversity hire version of Wonder Woman, and if James Gunn is dumb enough to replace one of the most iconic DC heroes with her, then frankly I don't think he's the genius that Bob insists he is.
If you ever wondered why Bob so easily calls for genocide of actual human beings, remember that he empathizes with a half-deflated Mario balloon. That really shows the level of how broken his brain is.
