r/Antinatalism is a subreddit dedicated to the philosophical belief that having children is "morally wrong and cannot be justified". It is exactly as bad as that sounds.
Effectively an even worse version of r/Childfree, antinatalists spend their time posting about how much they hate children and people who have children, and also seething over people making fun of their utterly deranged worldview. They refer to people who DON'T hate children (you know, normal people) as "natalists".
At its most tame, the subreddit consists of incredibly shitty memes such as this:
But most often it's just spiteful, bilious drivel being spouted by "people" whose only purpose on this Earth is to make life that little bit less pleasant. Such as this!
The fundamental root of this vulgar excuse for a "philosophy" appears to be fairly typical Reddit-pattern self-hatred and misanthropy, albeit taken to extremes even by Reddit standards. As it happens, browsing this horror show gave two back-to-back posts that accurately depict the average antinatalist's mindset.
Their list of affiliate subreddits also sheds some light on the inner workings of the average antinatalist's brain. Typical nihilist/euphoric-atheist dreck revolving around how everything is terrible and wouldn't it be better if everyone was just dead?
They also appear to be rather easily manipulated.
How they'll react if/when they realize the people in power who promote this particular brand of brainrot don't actually subscribe to it themselves is anyone's guess, but I wouldn't hold your breath given how deeply entrenched typical Reddit fatalism is in their heads, globohomo worship and all.
Annoying these people is so easy you'll probably do it without even intending to- just don't have a psychotic hatred of children and make this noticed. Bonus points if you have children of your own and say how much you love them. For added fun, show sympathy to antinatalists for what was obviously a childhood bereft of love and affection.
