r/Antinatalism is a subreddit dedicated to the philosophical belief that having children is "morally wrong and cannot be justified". It is exactly as bad as that sounds.

Effectively an even worse version of r/Childfree, antinatalists spend their time posting about how much they hate children and people who have children, and also seething over people making fun of their utterly deranged worldview. They refer to people who DON'T hate children (you know, normal people) as "natalists".

At its most tame, the subreddit consists of incredibly shitty memes such as this:

But most often it's just spiteful, bilious drivel being spouted by "people" whose only purpose on this Earth is to make life that little bit less pleasant. Such as this!

The fundamental root of this vulgar excuse for a "philosophy" appears to be fairly typical Reddit-pattern self-hatred and misanthropy, albeit taken to extremes even by Reddit standards. As it happens, browsing this horror show gave two back-to-back posts that accurately depict the average antinatalist's mindset.

Their list of affiliate subreddits also sheds some light on the inner workings of the average antinatalist's brain. Typical nihilist/euphoric-atheist dreck revolving around how everything is terrible and wouldn't it be better if everyone was just dead?

They also appear to be rather easily manipulated.

How they'll react if/when they realize the people in power who promote this particular brand of brainrot don't actually subscribe to it themselves is anyone's guess, but I wouldn't hold your breath given how deeply entrenched typical Reddit fatalism is in their heads, globohomo worship and all.

Annoying these people is so easy you'll probably do it without even intending to- just don't have a psychotic hatred of children and make this noticed. Bonus points if you have children of your own and say how much you love them. For added fun, show sympathy to antinatalists for what was obviously a childhood bereft of love and affection.

This is something that I noticed with some subreddits since I saw the r/antiwork disaster falling out.

Reddit has its own weird way of extremism in a lot of things. And subreddits like this, r/fuckcars, and r/antiwork are perfect examples of it.

First, they start innocent enough, with people having a slight problem with the topic in question and discussing about it. Then the months of the subreddit pass along and then you start seeing people who are very extremist about it, like this subreddit, they hate life, they hate children and they right out say that all of them need to die. And this almost always happens with every subreddit that has a big grow in their audience, why? Where do these weirdos come from? Reddit is such a shithole.

>I hate all children, so does my transgirlfriend!
>I'm dying alone, why is life so cruel?

If women want examples of actual "incels" this is it. Not the guy who hit on you at Taco Bell, the guys who rage over children. They seethe most over what they will never have.

So many living people talking about how they want humanity to die. Really makes you think.

Why don't they kill themselves?

No, seriously. They were children once. By their own logic, wasn't their own existence as children morally abhorrent?
When it comes to grown adults hating children, I have to assume they were severely abused or neglected as kids. It doesn't excuse the behavior but they're great examples of what untreated self hatred looks like, and I can only feel sadness for them. Family is the most important thing in life and when that realization finally hits them, it will be too late. Next stop: suicide.

My theory is that most Redditors are miserable and friendless and just screeching about Trump and “Trump supporters” gets boring. Especially in that hugbox. But they aren’t allowed to say or think anything mean about trannies or Jews or blacks so happy children and families are an acceptable outlet to spew their dysfunction.

Plus, you have to have sex to have a child and most of them can’t leave their filthy hovels without having an anxiety attack.

Sounds like a fetish these redditors have. They aren’t big or tough enough so they go for easy targets on the internet.
Pretty much. Just cowardly losers who punch down on those they think are weaker than them. They're too afraid to look at their own faults and too proud to change them and it makes them take it out on others to make themselves feel better.

I also wonder how many of them Fucking Love Science and want us to colonize space ASAP. Where are you going to get the colonists to settle the galaxy if nobody has children, dumbass? And don't start with the robot/AI shit, if they're truly self-aware thinking machines, they sure as hell won't want somebody like you going with them.

Having children is a serious, world-changing personal decision and can lead to a lot of good if you truly understand what you are doing. It can also lead to unbelievable tragedy...an abusive parent is much worse than a bitter, isolated mise.

And someone who doesn't choose to have children can have a monumental impact in their own way. One of them founded the largest and arguably most influential religion on Earth. The other destroyed Europe and murdered millions of innocent people along the way.

Adam Lanza, the sandy hook shooter, was a self described antinatalist. His most clear motive for the shooting was “saving the kids from a life of pain and suffering”, the exact same shit these guys preach.

I remember even reading that after his old YouTube channel, CulturalPhilistine, was discovered, it was also found out there were reddit threads on r/antinatalism calling his videos “genius”.

A direct quote from one of his videos: "you're the one who wants to rape children, I'm the one who wants to save them"

They have a big crossover population with r/collapsesupport which the delusion theories of a lot of them use as their justification for antinatalism.

Anyway, I liked this one:

I can understand being childfree, but like, genuinely hating children and wishing every child you've ever seen was dead and genuinely hating people for wanting a family? I don't even think therapy is strong enough to handle this shit like I don't think there's any hope for these people. This is the most pathetic thing I have seen in a while. I'm impressed and disgusted with the depths humanity has sunken to where we are supposed to see this as a legitimate movement.

Just say you don't like kids and want your free time/money like normal people. You don't have to invent some made up moral justification for it.

The problem is that doesn't address the fact that other people are going to continue to harm me with their breeding. I never consented to other people doing things I don't want them to.
