John "Sand Nigger" Flynt is interested in learning about bridging racial differences.

Here's a hint, John: try having friends.

I believe John was a teenager during the Los Angeles riots after the whole Rodney King shebang. He didn't have twitter though, so he couldn't ineffectually pose that he gave a shit back then.

Plus the re-release of the iOS version sort of came out of the blue lately. It was all about Steam release up till the people on Kickstarter started to complain.

Steam is the worst place for her to release the game. Refunds are incredibly easy to obtain so anyone can test out her game. It can be modded. And she has no control over the reviews that come out. Either that or she just never was able to get the game to work on PC (as opposed to iOS which the original developers did get to work) and she can't fix it on her own.

Yeah, except Wu let their mouth get ahead of their brain and in their perceived moment of glory announced the Steam release.

I would bet good money Wu regrets ever having made that promise now that they understand the hell they set upon themselves.

You never really hear from anyone else on the "team", do you? Wu never even bothers to mention any of them by name.
She made a habit of never mentioning any of them by name when she still had staff. It's one of the many reasons nobody in her area wants to work with her again.

It doesn't matter, John. They all look like they're from 1995 in the worst way possible!
LOL "ABOUT TO SHIP"
Does John even know the first fucking thing about colors?
Having seen some of the cinematic bits from Rev60...

Is it just me or would this be... 'better' if it was a non-interactive medium? Like, instead of a game, she decided to make a super feminist sci-fi animated movie?

I mean, yes, better is highly subjective here, it would still be Rev60, but it would also be in the realm of possibility.
That's what Rev60 is, a shitty 4-hour-long movie with shitty QTEs you're forced to do, and if you fail even one of them, the ending is fucked. That's not even mentioning the shitfuck combat system.
Even then, John can't fucking write. Everyone in the game is a catty bitch who do nothing but toss shittly written snark around, and you're forced to pick between two unlikable characters.
I can fry my system for only 10 dollars? Wow-wee!
I can also waste 6 bucks on this piece of shit instead of buying something way more worth while like GTA San Andreas on the IOS? This is truly a product worth a shit

Anybody know what neighborhood Johnny boy lives in? I'd bet $50 it's over 90% white.
It is. Wu lives in Moulton Rd., Arlington, MA.

Someone once showed a nifty site that could display demographics for neighbourhoods (they used Wu's address) and stuff and it was predominantly white.

This proves Wu understands almost nothing about the market video games, let alone the market for mobile games. Most people won't pay $2 for an app let alone $6, unless it's one of those Final Fantasy rerelease, which tbh she is probably comparing her prides to since it's all she knows.
If they don't like video games, then why are they doing video games? Why do they care about video games? It's like they see something that's popular, then decide they want some of that sweet sweet interactive entertainment bux and go after it like a starving polar that found a baby seal!

And what's worse, people are letting them do it! People are letting them turn the medium into their little indie art house movie scene and producing things that DON'T need to be interactive!
It's all about ideology. It's basically the same thing as parents getting upset about slapstick violence in kids cartoons, and crazed Christians getting their feathers ruffled about a gay person in an ABC show they don't watch. It's about making people think like them and making it so there's no media that they WOULDNT consume.

The Exit Sign. Compared to everything else in that image, it looks sexy as hell.

Honestly, Rev60 wouldn't have been hard to improve if the combat system were more robust. There needed to be more enemy variety, there needed to be more unique battlefield designs, and Holiday needed more combat options. The core concept is solid - it's just implemented extremely poorly and this is what fucking ruins it. The music's damned good too and the battle music is particularly good, so GSX just neglecting to offer an OST for the fucking thing just further macks of incompetence.

What kills Rev60's overall setup, however, is its story. Brianna Wu wrote this and it fucking shows - the dialogue is awful, the fucking story predictable, and the characters shallow as shit. Not a single person in the game is likable, and only Holiday comes anywhere close because you can control how she reacts. The game's story has an actual Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies moment if you fail to back either Min or Amelia sufficeintly, @Optimus Prime as my witness.
