Who goes through all the effort of starting a lawsuit without knowing you can:
1 - Lose
2 - Appeal
I've never been anywhere near a lawsuit but I knew those things by the time I was about 10 just by watching the news. That's like driving a car and not knowing that you could crash it, or use the brakes.
People like Pat think that starting a lawsuit is a a way of just getting a company to give you a big payout or forcing someone to comply with your demand.
They don’t seem to understand that even if you have a case you still have to provide evidence and of course for it to be a case in the first place it has to be within the law.
He would know that if he checked into the rules of privacy and relevant information.
Unless it’s life and death or a governmental decision, private companies and individuals don’t have to simply divulge private information.
Assuming a bunch of people on a forum who laugh at his tweets and other publicly available information he willingly made viewable to anyone with a internet capable device can just have their ip addresses divulged really shows how seriously he takes himself.
I doubt even the president could get that achieved, provided they were not making any credible threats.
Anyway, he is of the ilk who hear that “most of the time” companies just pay people off rather than take it to court, so he probably thought that Quasi would just “hear the knock” and fall in line.
The fact that he wasted so much money on reinstating his twitter account shows that he really thinks the law is how to get what he wants.
The twitter thing took time, but he “won” in the end. He is probably thinking that all he has to do is tough it out and the courts will side with him.
Next time he should take his case to a no win no fee lawyer.
Who will tell him straight away, don’t do this, it will be hard to win, you will probably loose and then you will have a fee.
It’s not like slipping on puke in a Macdonald’s or tripping over a paving slab. Large companies and councils have insurance and on staff lawyers who will just dazzle the ambulance chaser with a figure and job done, “win”.
I doubt Quasi had fat retard fee fees hurt insurance.
