A tool testing channel known for autistically in-depth testing and objective reviews has released a video of testing ratcheting stubby screwdrivers, including LTT's 60$ model.
As much as I was hoping for it to be complete garbage, it doesn't seem to be a complete rip-off, managing to score 3rd place of 13 tested screwdrivers.
That said, only slightly lower scoring screwdrivers can be VASTLY more affordable, such as the Milwaukee model for 22$.

It's shocking the damage that has resulted over a something that was initially so small. Hyper-accelerated dominos meme in effect. Linus flip flopped so hard between unjustified-Canadian-smugness to hard damage control. I can only imagine what's going on around Linus internally at LTT. Half of me believes he'd manically running around yelling at people as he tries to retroactively apply a new standard of quality. The other half thinks he's just totally withdrawn into his office, coping with his "hurr durr im just the Chief Vision Officer, not my job" (ignoring that I own the company and the "CEO" is literally just my employee).

It's 2020+x, you think most people are chill adults but quirky tech companies that are "your second family" are a huge red flag because it turns into a circlejerk of the core people everyone tries to suck up to and most new people are isolated.

1. The BPD lady is crazy and making 90% of it up in her head. If you couldn't smell the lack of impulse control and extreme desire for attention oozing off of her tweets, just look at the tiktok of her posted by @Vampirdžija
Anytime someone has real grievances and the first place they go to is Twitter, their main goal is attention before anything else, which means they have incentive to exaggerate as much as possible for added effect.
2. I tried making sense of the suicide debacle but I can't understand what claim Linus has to that plaque. From what I understand it belonged to a channel that he was a part of, and from scanning through the channel there were multiple videos featuring many people that got tons of views and Linus didn't stand out. He seemed to be just one of a sea of soy faces, so it's not like he can even claim the subs that led to the plaque were mostly due to him.
So with that said, how does he justify throwing a tantrum over not getting it? It comes across as so entitled, even without considering his whining led to someone's death.
Initially I didn't quite believe that he deserves blame for directly sending fans to harass someone into suicide, but the fact that he legit felt he deserved that plaque for "sentimental reasons" makes me put the blame entirely on him. He's a selfish faggot who only thinks about himself and caused 2 deaths. He really should've expressed more remorse than he did.

So much this. MS in general are greedy faggots but their office products are pretty much unmatched. It's easy to spot a lazy ignorant retard by their opinion on productivity software. If they favour non-MS products you can disregard 90% of anything else they say. Wrong: she posted it on Glassdoor more than a year ago. She also vague tweeted about it back when she left too.
One thing is true for sure: she managed for a specific set of time the OnlyFans account - that is extremely fucked up for any reputable company, which is what LTT wants to be perceived as.
She did not seem to make any extreme exaggeration. If you read her words without the context, it seems like a bad place to work at, but not "breastfeeding milk is missing" level of bad. Her accusations could be rephrased as "people gave me feedback in a rude, unprofessional manner; they grabbed me (this can mean they touched her shoulder fyi); they gave me impossible to achieve goals; they did not introduce/trained me well enough for the job".
People took that and made it become like she said "Linus mega raped me while everyone was watching and laughing". She has that manic zoomer craziness, but the reaction to her accusations is also to blame for how much they have been exaggerated.
Long exaplanation:
1. The suicide is very much not proven. Allegedly the father posted that his wife and son killed themselves and, understandably, it ruined his life. Then it seems the account posting it was deleted - no further research into the account was done (idk if it was a throwaway). People here ran with the "Linus caused a suicide" thing because Anthony (the LTT very own trans autist) supports the story that the farms caused the suicide of Byuu. Outside of the farms, people are idiots that believe "bullycide" is a thing caused by mean comments.
Linus, for whatever reason, decided that answering to that reddit post would be good (there is no evidence he had confirmation it was a real post). Him answering to it of course gave it some legitimacy.
2. Linus created the LTT channel while he was working at NCIX (summary of this is in the OP). He was the face since the beginning. I don't know exactly what happened between NCIX, Linus, and who else was working on the channel with him (Riley, etc.. ) - but if you order by "oldest" you can see it was just him for a few years.

Linus showed in the video the channel name of this guy. Linus being his classic egocentric self didn't think his fans would not interact with the other guy. Of course that did not happen. People also looked at some metrics of that channel and accused the guy of buying the channel and buying views and likes - idk if that is true or not. Someone in this thread said the voice is different in the early videos of that channel vs the later ones. Anyway, Reddit/LTT fans took that as undeniable proof that the guy that "stole" the plaque from Linus was a cheat and harassed him even more
I am pretty sure youtube could have given the other guy a new button if he asked - so it's stupid all around. Iirc Linus could have had a copy of the button from YT, but in the new style only, while he wanted the old one.

Ha! Good luck getting in touch with them. Unless you're literally LTT-sized, you're not going to have any way to contact Google. GamersNexus burning his bridges with Linus is kind of a big deal for this reason, Linus did have the email of a YouTube employee so he could be a go-between for affiliated channels.
It's kind of a ridiculous way to run things considering how much money YouTube makes off of even relatively small channels.

James, fyi, is the one that managed the OF account originally. Then at some point it went to Madison (I think this is in the previous page, or the one before that). I absolutely believe that James knew.
Also you can hear James shouting something like "Are you going to dance on that table?" at the end of the emergency video... you know, what any normal person would say after a talk on sexual harassment.
On Reddit people have written that the emergency meeting was done the day after Madison left. That's interesting!
Linus going to Madison after the accusations is not great because ... why go to one of his newest employees? However there could be another reason why he went there (e.g. it was the easiest place to walk to, idk?)
On the risk of finding out I have always worked in TOXIC environments... I think it is pretty normal that the first line suggested by HR is "talk with the person that annoys you". I think it should be obvious to adults that if someone sexually assaulted you... you go straight to the police, not HR! Beyond anything criminal, you probably should try to solve the issue by behaving like reasonable adults, maybe having a slightly embarrassing conversation? Get a mediator involved if you need?
Then again, I don't think those manchildren could understand why while hugging your work-bro is okay, hugging your new female employee is not okay; or why sex jokes are okay among your friends, but not among coworkers that you have known for less than a month.
I don't think I explicitly said the channel definitely was bought or not. It could also have been a friend giving over the channel or giving up, or whatever.
