Why am I not surprised. Lucas's tiny lizard brain noticed youtubers shilling such things on their channel and thought it was an easy thing to do. Said lizard brain didn't put two and two together and realize that a) it requires a very large and active channel with lots of people for that to actually have any possibility of working and b) the overwhelming majority of people ignore those kinds of links. If he's gone off the psych meds he'll start his usual cycle, spiral into noncompliance and inevitably stop taking the rest of his meds. Just like how he convinced himself he didn't need his insulin a few times. On the other hand if its just becoming ineffective rather than deliberately stopping them it'll be the same end result it'll just take longer. Though that would imply his mental health has gotten worse in general

I had a great uncle who thought he was smarter than everyone else. Every Christmas, he'd insist on saying Grace and while doing so, he'd make it a point to use these $10 words that nobody ever uses in common speech. I can only assume he did so to make himself seem smarter than he really was.

The problem with that, was he'd often use them incorrectly and my grandfather and I would often have a chuckle at his expense afterwards.
