Does anyone know what's going on with Narcissa these days?
No idea, but the film has been shown. It sounds like it was well made and explores the bizarre phenomenon of Twitch in general. Interesting to me, anyway, as even after so many years I still can't grasp why anyone would watch a stream let alone develop serious emotional investment in a streamer. It's gotten some decent reviews from a few literal whos. Seems like it's centered around Cosmo's 'toxic' relationship with fame and streaming, and how he found some peace or redemption by kissing another MTF on stream. Obviously we know this didn't really work out, but the movie probably will tell us things about their relationship that we don't know. It ends on a hopeful note as apparently filming coincided with a hopeful period in Cosmo's life. It will be odd seeing that in current year (or, more likely, current year +1).
This section of one review points to some funny things and seems to be written by a Pajeet (though apparently it isn't). Looks like the film explores the dangers of swatting even though that never happens to the subject.

The
other """professional"""
reviews give it decent marks, though Wagner's transcard didn't translate to any free 5/5s. There's also an 80-minute
podcast review but I ain't listening to that shit. The viewer reviews seem to offer honest thoughts about the film (obviously from a trans-positive viewpoint). One tellingly references the fact that the film doesn't really aim to tell the whole Narcissa story.

The film did get a jury mention in New York, but didn't get any prizes. This is good for Wagner, but obviously not nearly as good as getting a prize.
Wagner did do an
interview which explains some of her approach and nods to the fact that Wright hasn't really been involved/invested in the project apart from being receptive to the thing and contributing while they were filming and doing interviews. What I mean is, we still, so far as I can tell, have no public acknowledgment from Narco that this thing actually happened.
Also confirmed that the film is mostly just caps of Twitch streams and doesn't cover any recent events. That's what they've been doing since 'finishing' in 2018.
Looks like the film is going to Los Angeles then Denver in August, so I doubt we'll be able to watch it any time soon. Sad for those of you who want to see trannies kiss while hiking in California.
ETA: added a few sentences and also wanted to say that I haven't ever followed Narcissa closely. I'm sure some of you have more knowledge of his relationship with this D_Gurl, but I only have a vague understanding that it happened and saw the clip in 2017 or 18 or whenever it was. Still, I think even obsessive followers will learn something from this. Call me crazy, but I'm keen on seeing what such a sympathetic appraisal of this guy will look like. Whatever the case, obviously we get the last laugh given how the past 5 years have gone for Cosmo. Threatening to shoot up the Twitch head office doesn't really jive with the curtain closing with him on the road to recovery and normality.
