They're boasting that they've got 50,000 people to add it to their Steam wishlists. At $21 a pop (when you subtract Gabe's cut), this doesn't seem like it'd come close to covering the costs of a five-year project, even with Daddy Government picking up the tab...

A wishlisting isn't a sale. I'm sure that number is going to translate to much smaller sales then they hope, and that's not including people like me who intend to buy the game and play it before refunding it, people who wishlisted just to follow the drama, and broke lefties who followed, but won't buy it because they owe 3000 in rent in 2 days.

Yeah, I know, but it should be proportional. There'll also be people who buy it without wishlisting it, etc.

I know full well that it'll sneak in to my library about 2027 or so through a Humble Bundle.
 
I refuse to believe there are 50k trannies and tranny enablers that want to play this garbage.

I'll have to add it to my watched list for whenever it goes on sale, aint no way I'm buying it at full price and I doubt anyone wants to pirate it.

There aren't, because I'm one of those 50k that has it wishlisted just so I can get a notification when it goes live and read the reviews.

I have like 50 games in my wishlist and have to curate it every once in a while. I can see a decent number of trannies jamming it in there when they heard it was stunning and brave and forgot it even existed.

So I bought the game, and holy shit.

From the get go, it tells you controllers are the recommended way to play like we're playing fucking Ultrakill or a high twitch fast reaction video game, and not an amnemic game about leftist dinosaurs whining about shit as a meteor is about to crash on their heads. The joy continues into the main menu that has zero music playing. Once again, let me restate this is a game where one of the core themes is music.

Continuing into the game reveals that they still couldn't fix the lip synching issues, or issues with the models clipping into shit in the background. There are even times where the characters just break and freak the fuck out on the screen for no rhyme or reason.

I'll edit this post when I get deeper in, but for a VN in the oven for 5 years, Gordon Ramsey would still be pissed since this thing is somehow still undercooked.

Isn't this fucking Ren'Py? The game engine of choice for lazy porn game developers when RPGMaker seems too exciting and full of gameplay and mechanics? Of course these people are all complete morons but fucking up with an engine that's usually just full of stolen art with the barely any connection is something else.

Ren'Py would actually be a better engine for this because then you would be able to rewind the choices and dialog. You would also have more then one save file and wouldn't have to replay the entire game if you wanted to pick a different character to try and romance. You would also have a functional pause button during the more cinematic parts of the game.

The argument that this game was a money laundering scheme has never been stronger.

No, they chucked RenPy out pretty fast. I think they made it in Unity.

They use Spine for the animations and Unity as the game engine, according to this.

Currently there are 44 reviews and of the negative ones I saw Snoot Game get mentioned twice, one was in the context of KO_OP sperging out and shutting their discord and the other actually saying just play "Snoot Game".

This is genuinely pathetic they're not getting review bombed by Snoot Game fans they're having their trash game's review score review score inflated by them.
