Damnit, I didn't save any images from the Burton /k/ thread last week. Burton has a lot more than the Bradley sperging. His first foray into reform was the Blitzfighter. A cheaper, less complex A-10. Less fancy electronics. I have seen many people get on board with that assuming he means something along the lines of not needing high altitude precision guidance packages. Burton did not mean that. His version of untested electronics are things like radar and hard points. There's a hilarous image from his paper where he argues Soviet armored columns are actually easier to gun run in the late 70s than in WWII.

Not to mention the time he asked the Navy to take an (at the time) brand new Areligh Burke class destroyer, load it up with a full compliment of fuel, electronics, the full AEGIS suite, and shoot it with a torpedo designed to kill carriers. To see what would happen.
how old are these people
Yeah, I think your on to it.

I am not from the UK but why would a guidance counselor beg him not to go to a concert? I thought guidance counselors help you get into college or trade school and make sure you are passing your classes. Why would they care about what I am doing out of school?
Not sure about the UK, but I have seen "guidance counselors" used a lot in US schools as a nice way of saying "the person you talk to if you're bat shit crazy."

Behold Animarchy, a combo of anime and anarchy. Why is an anarchist a strong NATO supporter? I can't tell you. He's the guy in the bush hat on the thumbnails in OP. He has a series that follows the Pacific War through the eyes of the USS Enterprise. But not the ship. The ship as personified by an anime gatcha girl. Here's him giving some dramatic reading of how the Battle of Santa Cruz inspired his shipwaifu to go super sayian. Including fan art of her standing in front of the grave of her 'sisters', the USS Hornet and Wasp, if I timestamped it right. Because the best context for what led up to Leyete Gulf is a DBZ story line.

Oh you ain't seen nothing yet. Behold him brag about him being a founding member of lefty /pol/ on his the first episode of his Azur Lane podcast.

that aside, his criticisms of the 3 people I mentioned comes across as being pretty A-loggy if you take a step back and put things in perspective. Also gotta love how he spends hours of his day making a video either outright accusing or obviously implying other people are shills and then had to slip in a meme showing his disdain for people calling him a Locked shill.
That's the thing. Say what you will about the 3 being spergs, going after them like they're literally Hitler is peak A-logging. Mike Sparks is just a retard that wants to make a M113 fly yet you make him out to be Satan. Come on man.

Not the school therapist?
Been a long time since I was in school, but they were one in the same.

Sparks honestly kinda seems like a harmless autist. A bit surprised he doesn't have a thread here, but he is pretty obscure.

So I hate to harp on it, but his discord is really creepy. He posted his discord link in one of his videos and I joined thinking it would be a fun shit-posting place, but then I saw the age gates. I assumed they were for memes (saying curse words and other stuff) but then I saw he had porn channels . I asked the mods (sadly in VC) why this existed when there are clearly children in this server. They told me they had "age gates in place" (age gates being "click this button if you are over 18" when you first enter the discord) and I said "well anyone can lie, right?" Then they banned me for trolling. I was in there for at most 5 minutes but it felt really odd. There were clearly kids in the VC and the VC was only 18+.

I'll also add Unauthorized History of The Pacific to your list, even if were on a 'Bill's vacation photos' arc.
Ahh Bill. Both the most credible and least credible member of that podcast at the same time.
I sent Seth and e-mail to his suggestions address asking he get Moran on there for a talk on the armor of the pacific theater. Never heard back and this was months ago, so probably won't happen.

Agreed. His obsession with femboys (who are traditionally underage) is creepy as fuck and definitely a red flag the size of Texas, but if you can't find evidence of wrongdoing beyond jilted lovers and former friends, then that's that.
Yes, the femboy thing in particular gave me pause, however, in the context of his blog post claiming to have a girlfriend after he claimed to realize he was gay, I'm thinking he's hamming up the gay thing since it's a fundamental part of his identity at this point and the key thing about the femboy thing might actually be the "feminine" part if he's actually a homosexually leaning bisexual, like I'm suspecting. (The pornsick to prison 'tism-gay pipeline.)

I use Snusbase for the database checks if that’s what you are asking and Seon is another one of the great tools. IPInfo is I believe one of the most accurate for IP checks.

I also need some more tools myself :)
Thanks, here's a couple you might find interesting:
maigret (for usernames/socials):

InfoHound (for websites):

leak-lookup (the free part lets you lookup the categories of data contained in specific breaches):

One I've been meaning to try out is osint.industries (they made it completely free for two weeks, not sure if that's still going):

0xtechrock on Twitter has a good compilation of tools with his "OSINT TIP" series:

Sparks is just a conspiratorial autist boomer and is quite irrelevant as of late. He used to be relevant when a channel called Blacktail Defense was active and people thought he was an alter ego of his which I can say from my own experiences that I don't believe that they're the same person. He is deserving of some laughter but Lazerpig is trying to milk an irrelevant dead meme to an audience that had previously no idea who he was when previously it was a meme amongst a niche community of mil autists.

But now Lazerpig is turning into a bigger meme than Sparks ever was, deservedly so.

In the blog post where he talks about How getting butt fucked is akin to losing your virginity all over again makes me assume that he did fuck women before. I agree he probably is some sort of bisexual. His twitter has a lot of posts related to Trannies which I am not surprised about, but the tranny shit + the femboy shit makes me thunk.

One of the few admitly funny things Lazerpig has done is that clip where he scrolls through Spark's rambling about women and 9/11

Ahaha more lies. He actually means effete homosexual men.

Yeah, I think your on to it.
Burton was a nut whose idea of high tech ends in the early 1950s.

A radar-less attack jet relying on a pilot to get nice and low strafing targets with 30mm canon fire (that would be the primary weapon system) was lunacy even in the late 1970s. At that point we had jets like the A-7 with it's extremely good avionics systems, CCIP/CCRP all projected on a HUD.

Even the A-10 primarily goes after armor with Mavericks.

Blowing apart a new ship for destructive testing has some merit but one loaded up with all the fun electronics and radar when you're shooting at it with a torpedo is also ridiculous.

The Navy has the Desert ship and the one in New Jersey to test radar and other electric systems safely against mock missiles and other threats.

Anyway, LP was recycling criticism that others made, just in a drunker, more homosexual manner.

I think the army officer/intel agency thing is almost certainly false. A lot of things just don't add up for that to be true. He certainly wouldn't be allowed to become an officer if he had such an extensive mental health record, and the whole "I got randomly picked to be a glowie because I did something cool" is mostly just movie shit spawned from the rare instances where in the early days of the internet some hackers got contracted to work for the feds because all the feds were boomers who couldn't even turn on PCs at the time (a lot still are like this).
Assuming this is not a whole bald-faced lie, have a slight pushback. He could have had some minor internship and is just fluffing up his resume. The lack of details and "casual speak" makes me think he submitted some classwork as a writing sample and got some coffee internship in a firm that does military shit or writes crappy online blogs about x conflict or x thing or is a think tank that focuses on x. Unless you are an actual genius they do not let anyone with at least a master's (or really good connections) near shit that matters.

Ya know what, fuck it. I have spent over a decade repressing the urge to gatekeep military history and culture and trying to bridge the civ/military divide, only making points when I felt I had to. This one little faggot has made me change my mind and go full Vietnam vet. I'm buying one of those bright red OEF baseball caps and pinning my ribbons to a motorcycle vest. 111,000 Americans died in the Pacific to keep this faggots island safe. The Enterprise was crewed by living men who fought and died across the largest front in human history. Reducing their story to fucking anime tropes is disrespectful as hell, especially from a college kid with a meme political ideology. Show some fucking respect for those who came before and undertook something your sheltered ass couldn't possibly understand. Holy shit. This isn't ancient Rome, it's what our Grandfathers went through.

I like Bill. He reminds me of a teacher I had in HS who was also a former USN O-6. But those guys record stuff ages in advance and I think Bill is doing that tour of the South Pacific, assuming he recorded the Pearl episode a month or two ago.

Bit of a retard but what exactly is lefty pol?

Well what do you expect from people who unironically buy a personality from the internet?

I honestly wouldn't argue that it's complete lunacy given the context of a WW3 scenario in that era. Resources can become very limited during major conventional wars. During WW2 there was a lot of this and countries did build aircraft (and other things) out of "non-strategic materials." If you really think about it, if you take a strategic bomber, a fighter, an interceptor, and a CAS aircraft and due to limited resources, one of them must go without radar or modern features, which really makes the most sense in the context of a war between the US and USSR?

The blowing up of the ship with full high dollar gear is pretty stupid though.

Without getting too much into it, I have a master's in military history, and I can say, without exception, nobody takes him seriously. I'm not talking about LazerPig the character, I'm talking about David Steel the """historian.""" A good way to sniff out a bullshit historian or a historian that is trying to bullshit you is by trying to peg what exactly their specialty is. For example, I am interested in and like to talk about stuff all the way back to the Peloponnesian War, Rome, the Middle Ages, and all that, however the stuff I actually consider myself an expert in is a small handful of counterinsurgency conflicts during the cold war.

If you listen to David, however, he will regularly opine on the entire World War era, and every aspect, from armor to ships, he'll talk about the Cold War, he'll talk about current events, he'll talk about fucking failed spy satellite programs, and he will throw around his """credentials""" as a historian, essentially making an appeal to authority where he is the authority. I would personally advise anyone wanting to learn about military history, even casually, to not take him seriously.
