Damnit, I didn't save any images from the Burton /k/ thread last week. Burton has a lot more than the Bradley sperging. His first foray into reform was the Blitzfighter. A cheaper, less complex A-10. Less fancy electronics. I have seen many people get on board with that assuming he means something along the lines of not needing high altitude precision guidance packages. Burton did not mean that. His version of untested electronics are things like radar and hard points. There's a hilarous image from his paper where he argues Soviet armored columns are actually easier to gun run in the late 70s than in WWII.Burton
Not to mention the time he asked the Navy to take an (at the time) brand new Areligh Burke class destroyer, load it up with a full compliment of fuel, electronics, the full AEGIS suite, and shoot it with a torpedo designed to kill carriers. To see what would happen.
