He was defending himself against a Nazi aggressor! The one hippogriff in the whole series is a violent asshole. Smh I thought we'd moved on from that kind of bigotry.

They think the goblins are offensive Jewish caricatures #soprogressiveI'm going to indulge myself by refuting these lazy aspersions.
I can't think of any racial stereotypes in the books besides that Arab wizards fly on flying carpets, which is objectively cool.
The most beloved two characters in the whole series, Molly Weasley and Hagrid, are fat.
No shit there's no gay shit in a book for kids!
Finally, one of the central messages of the books is that when people feel like they don't fit in, they're inclined to react badly and lash out at others. (Snape, Voldemort) It's like this person hasn't even seen the movies.
In Buckbeak's defence, Malfoy was being a downright dumbass twat who provoked a dangerous animal into attacking him to make Hagrid look bad.The one hippogriff in the whole series is a violent asshole. Smh I thought we'd moved on from that kind of bigotry.
In Malfoy’s defense, Hagrid brought a dangerous predatory animal around 12 year olds without any kind of safety supervision. In Buckbeak's defence, Malfoy was being a downright dumbass twat who provoked a dangerous animal into attacking him to make Hagrid look bad.
That's not in Hagrid's defense. Hagrid is an adult, he should have known better. You don't see a rapist at a school raping and go, "well, in the rapist's defense, they really shouldn't have hired him". That may be true, but that does not excuse the rape, and in this case, doesn't excuse that Hagrid's pet attacked a student. In Hagrid’s defense, Dumbledore should not have given a high school dropout a teaching position.
You’re absolutely right, but troons love passing the buck(beak), so by their logic it’s Dumbledore’s fault since he’s in charge. That's not in Hagrid's defense. Well, the entire point was to show that Hagrid was utterly incompetent as a teacher (and as an adult) so that point was made pretty handily there. That's not in Hagrid's defense. There was also a Quidditch sequel already in the works before all this. That's why you can't play Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy.IIRC they said they already began working on one due to the huge haul of money the first one brought in. If they're using the same engine and team that could come surprisingly soon. I look forward to the 2nd round of anger and fighting it will bring.
You assume it was an accident...That's not in Hagrid's defense. Hagrid is an adult, he should have known better.
Like Lara Croft's pyramid tits?
They're the worst kind of fujos. Grown adults with the emotional intelligence of an autistic 13 year old.If these asshats are expecting gay shipping and other kinds of gay shit in a Harry Potter book, they need to look elsewhere. These asshats praise shit such as The Owl House for basically doing the exact same goyslop gay shit.
People who just watch cartoons and the only live-action content they watch is either Nic Cage or Breaking Bad and nothing else are just waiting to be punched in the face. That, and the fact that they shoehorn in their leftist ideology. They really need to understand that they should grow up and step out of their Peter Pan syndromeThey're the worst kind of fujos. My workplace has started selling Harry Potter merch. I'm going to write an email to the higher ups about why this is problematic (especially as they supposedly are an inclusive workplace), but I'm not great with words. Can you help me with some points to write to get my main point across that giving money to that terf is morally wrong and that me being forced to sell it feels like I'm personally giving money to organisations that want me to stop being me?
It makes sense in universe, though. A huge proportion of the Hogwarts faculty are incompetent. Snape abuses his students to the point it affects their grades, Trelawney is useless, Binns flat-out reads from the textbook, Lockheart--nuff said..That's not in Hagrid's defense. Hagrid's class seems like the sort of class where students who are interested in the subject can learn a lot and students who aren't won't learn much, but they'll have fun. Sort of a perfect little elective. It makes sense in universe, though. A huge proportion of the Hogwarts faculty are incompetent. I always thought Hagrid's class would've been cool.
IIRC the main problem wasn't the course itself, it was that he was teaching lessons way above his student's level. Third years were learning about dangerous animals more suited for older students. In the fourth book he teaches a more age-appropriate class and everyone has a blast learning about cute little critters. Hagrid's problem is that he doesn't consider that animals he loves are way too dangerous for teenagers to hang around.Hagrid's class seems like the sort of class where students who are interested in the subject can learn a lot and students who aren't won't learn much, but they'll have fun. Better ask why the Australian high commission designed it that way. They loved the number six when they were constructing it.View attachment 5357313
So how many points does that star in Gringotts Bank have?
