Diseased Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

I'm going to indulge myself by refuting these lazy aspersions.

I can't think of any racial stereotypes in the books besides that Arab wizards fly on flying carpets, which is objectively cool.

The most beloved two characters in the whole series, Molly Weasley and Hagrid, are fat.

No shit there's no gay shit in a book for kids!

Finally, one of the central messages of the books is that when people feel like they don't fit in, they're inclined to react badly and lash out at others. (Snape, Voldemort) It's like this person hasn't even seen the movies.
They think the goblins are offensive Jewish caricatures #soprogressive

I meant to post about this back on September 1, but most of the khan-tent I saw about this was on Instagram, so if another user wants to check TikTok, you’ll find a lot.

September 1 is pretty much officially a Harry Potter holiday, and King’s Cross station in London had a big event with literally thousands of fans crammed into the station. It was completely packed, so much that no one could walk around. They weren’t just kids, either — tons of adults, tons of millennials and Gen Z, all in cosplay and merch. There were also celebrations in the theme parks, too; not as large, since school was in session in most states, but definitely there.

Harry Potter is more popular than ever. The merch is still selling, and aside from super-woke brands, there’s no boycott in sight.

In Buckbeak's defence, Malfoy was being a downright dumbass twat who provoked a dangerous animal into attacking him to make Hagrid look bad.
In Malfoy’s defense, Hagrid brought a dangerous predatory animal around 12 year olds without any kind of safety supervision.

In Hagrid’s defense, Dumbledore should not have given a high school dropout a teaching position.

…and in JKR’s defense, she wrote a series of children’s books that were never meant to be taken as some kind of wokie Gospel or nuanced commentary on racism.

That's not in Hagrid's defense. Hagrid is an adult, he should have known better. You don't see a rapist at a school raping and go, "well, in the rapist's defense, they really shouldn't have hired him". That may be true, but that does not excuse the rape, and in this case, doesn't excuse that Hagrid's pet attacked a student.

You’re absolutely right, but troons love passing the buck(beak), so by their logic it’s Dumbledore’s fault since he’s in charge.

Point is nobody should be using entertainment media as some kind of moral compass. Read another book, as it’s said.

Well, the entire point was to show that Hagrid was utterly incompetent as a teacher (and as an adult) so that point was made pretty handily there.

Besides, it set up the grand aerial escape at the end of the book. I just thought it was an amusing little contrivance. To give her due credit, Rowling is pretty good at placing Chekhovs' guns all over the place.

IIRC they said they already began working on one due to the huge haul of money the first one brought in. If they're using the same engine and team that could come surprisingly soon. I look forward to the 2nd round of anger and fighting it will bring.
There was also a Quidditch sequel already in the works before all this. That's why you can't play Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy.

If these asshats are expecting gay shipping and other kinds of gay shit in a Harry Potter book, they need to look elsewhere. These asshats praise shit such as The Owl House for basically doing the exact same goyslop gay shit.
They're the worst kind of fujos. Grown adults with the emotional intelligence of an autistic 13 year old.

People who just watch cartoons and the only live-action content they watch is either Nic Cage or Breaking Bad and nothing else are just waiting to be punched in the face. That, and the fact that they shoehorn in their leftist ideology. They really need to understand that they should grow up and step out of their Peter Pan syndrome

Brave redditor ATTACKED by Harry Potter merch at their wagie cage (archive)
My workplace has started selling Harry Potter merch. I'm going to write an email to the higher ups about why this is problematic (especially as they supposedly are an inclusive workplace), but I'm not great with words. Can you help me with some points to write to get my main point across that giving money to that terf is morally wrong and that me being forced to sell it feels like I'm personally giving money to organisations that want me to stop being me?

Rowling's next Strike novel will be released next week, can we expect a new tranny meltdown about some (not so) hidden transphobia? According to the summary it's about a cult, so that already sounds promising. I already forgot what made them cry about the last book and when I did a quick google search, I found the following quote: " J.K. Rowling's new book, The Ink Black Heart, features a storyline about creator who was doxxed by her own fandom over content viewers found transphobic and racist." Which is not even remotely what happened in the book, so I'm looking forward to what they will make up this time.

It makes sense in universe, though. A huge proportion of the Hogwarts faculty are incompetent. Snape abuses his students to the point it affects their grades, Trelawney is useless, Binns flat-out reads from the textbook, Lockheart--nuff said..
I always thought Hagrid's class would've been cool.

Hagrid's class seems like the sort of class where students who are interested in the subject can learn a lot and students who aren't won't learn much, but they'll have fun. Sort of a perfect little elective.

IIRC the main problem wasn't the course itself, it was that he was teaching lessons way above his student's level. Third years were learning about dangerous animals more suited for older students. In the fourth book he teaches a more age-appropriate class and everyone has a blast learning about cute little critters. Hagrid's problem is that he doesn't consider that animals he loves are way too dangerous for teenagers to hang around.

So how many points does that star in Gringotts Bank have?
Better ask why the Australian high commission designed it that way. They loved the number six when they were constructing it.

That aside, hexagrams are hardly uniquely jewish and have a long history throughout pre-christian europe and the rest of the world. It's a very american view, to think that it's uniquely a jewish symbol.
