honestly roblox has partially escaped the reputation of being a kids game

doubt they'll ever get out of it completely, but it's more of a game for 12-16 year olds now instead of a game for 8-12 year olds

He's the developer of one of the biggest games on the website and runs a game studio for ROBLOX development, Summit Studios.

Lolbertarians do love the 5.7, yet in this case I doubt it. The DA would likely consider something like Lehigh's Xtreme Penetrator as "armor piercing" despite being copper, simply because of the name.

If he doesn't have a lawyer that can quash such an overreach & he's convicted, the state could use the precedent to go after others who are caught with that particular ammo, and it'd stick until someone (like a defendant or the manufacturer themselves) successfully appeals it.

And I also wouldn't be surprised if it was because he had something like PMC "Bronze" ammo; nevermind the projectiles themselves don't contain any brass, but even random old milsurp 9mm can turn out to be "armor-piercing" if it attracts a magnet.

And/or he had some green-tip M855 in the vehicle.

A REAL threat did occur when a man called Simbuilder attempted to force entry into the event. I thought this originally but looking at the statutes all refer to handgun or concealed weapon, and that AP definition for that statute explicitly excludes rifle ammo. Admittedly, probably overthinking it since this is CA and gun law, and they just do shit regardless. I think the bigger tell here is that if it was something 5.56 the cops and media would've made more noise about it.

Roblox turning toward a more favorable stance on online dating is going to create a more messy environment already known for having issues with moderation and predators. If enough terrible things go wrong, Roblox may be targeted in some way due to creating an unsafe online atmosphere.

Maybe they want to be more for everyone like Minecraft but with more rules.

On that topic here is a comparison of the current user bases of both in terms of age demographics.

You wouldn't be too far off the mark. IIRC, there was an ex-Roblox employee who was outed as a pedophile. It took Roblox a bit for them to fire the employee but they did it after the fact. Though to their credit, they were most likely trying to assist police in gathering evidence.

KonekoKitten, a Roblox Youtuber with over a million subs came out with a video on his other channel talking about how he regrets making block game drama videos but is happy that he made thousands and thousands of dollars off of it. He says he saw it as just a money farm and the only people that were consuming it were 13-14 year old kids.


He's honest at the very least.
