George RR Martin, his fanboys, and former fanbase

Why would he? The man is set for life and his series is too toxic to bother fixing, especially if he really did give Dumb and Dumber the basic rundown of the ending. Doesn't help that he has a legion of sycophants ready to dogpile anyone who expects him to do his job and write a highly-anticipated continuation for his main series when he can fuck around and write other shit that's pretentious but gets love for being “profound and clever in expositing lore.”
He got a lot of money but will end up forgotten in the literary world. A fitting end for a fat man.

Even worse, he'll be a joke. People will look back at this and laugh at what a farce it really is. There's something to say about what could have been, but how is that not said for everything else?
You will be shocked, shocked, by his most recent not a blog.
He does not "know where the time goes."
Now that Chris is out of jail what happens first

A Chapter of Sonichu being released?

or

Winds of Winter being released?
I would actually bet on Chris for once.

Yea, there's so much shit left to wrap up that I don't see how The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring are going to coherently tie up every loose end even if they're both ridiculously long. I'd rather he just release the bullet points of his planned ending at this point, at least then you'd get something.
Don't worry, when George dies with Winds so close to being done! 600/800 pages completed pls bro trust me bro, and he only didn't finish it cus he got Dream half done at the same time pls bro...

Whoever owns his estate will 100% end up taking a big fat check from the publisher so they can hire some hack fraud to "finish" both and get them out there to sell. They'll both sell a bazillion copies and fuel internet slapfights for decades

I just wish GRRM wasn't a faggot about having someone else finish the series. Its clear he's not going to finish it let someone like Sanderson top it off. You already let HBO have the ending details twist it into an abomination for television audiences what's wrong with letting someone who actually likes writing tackle your story.
At this point it is a point of pride and spite. He was successful late in life and everyone clamoring for the end of the series pisses him off because he is tired of the story and broke it beyond repair.

He is content to leave the work unfinished because 'Westeros is bigger than GoT!' And every artist secretly yearns to leave behind an unfinished magnum opus.

Christobouros Columborn discovers Americos, and the Brannisters fight endless colonial wars against La Marshe Rouge for 400 years until Napoli Bonepartisson kicks their asses back to King's Landing and conquers the entire continent.

There, I just finished the series for you. I expect my compensation payment and royalties in the mail by sundown.

He should have handed it off to Elio and Linda years ago. I'm actually embarrassed I was a major fan of this series for a decade. I remember being genuinely upset at Season 5 and realizing it's over.

At least I have some really fond memories. I remember staying up all night watching Preston Jacobs channel when I first discovered it, eyes wide at the entertaining insanity. The fan content around this franchise (both praise and ridicule) is much better than the franchise itself.

Since we are name dropping fan content Gladius Lord of the Waters is pretty fucking good and if George doesn't just copy it he is a fucking moron. Also going to shill Company of the Cat because Greek accent aside is good to know there are women who read these books and they can be more on topic than HBO shills.
