Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Tbh I prefer the new perk system. Its less messier and each perk you unlock feels like you unlocked a new ability you can use not to mention it is also tied to whatever cyberware you got.

I hate having to waste my point on techie just so I can craft legendary weapons
I hate how the most OP Sniper Rifle requires you to have 20 points on Body when the points themselves doesnt affect sniper weapons
I hate how fucking boring building a hacker cuz all the INT perks are just the fucking same
I hate how there are so many useless perks in each attribute
Waiting for QoL mods and the like here but a buddy of mine has been having fun punching everything to death and then using Savage Sling to finish them off by throwing them into their buddies.

Holy Shit, Cyberpunk’s police chases and shootouts are amazing

I legit just blasted tons of cops and they’re a challenge. There’s a variety of cop types and it’s fun

People seem pretty pissed about how nerfed all the builds are. Is it really that bad? I played through the game the first time as a strength/reflex guy using super shotguns, machine guns, and a katana and had a fucking blast.
The projectile system cybernetic has been nerfed so badly the explosive pistol has more AoE. And it can no longer 1hko cars fully charged, even with the skill that lowers enemy car hp by 50%. It also has pisspoor range. This is all with every skill that buffs it btw.
Also the explosive pistol no longer has infinite punch through. In fact it has NO punch through.

Also legendary weapons no longer have mod slots.

Yeah, for all the nice shit they did with skills the gear system got a lot worse. They even took away the Malorian's cover pen!

On the bright side the CCP shotgun is just a rocket launcher now so that's nice.
Apparently they did add some arcades so that's nice. But the game still feels fucking empty. Especially since food is just shitty bullshit you buy prepackaged somehow from restaurants. Instead of ordering and eating there.

2.0's a mixed bag, leaning towards positive. New police system genuinely is good, it would have been nice to change it so that the police are called if you go ham on a gang hideout though so more players will see it beyond shooting rando innocents. I get people's complaints about build nerfs but the new perks are genuinely an improvement, it's nice to see perks that actually do something rather than the "do +10% more damage when crouching and using pistols" bullshit so common to modern RPG-lites and the consequences of the perk reworks (like being able to use weapons without stat requirements and craft anything without having to get perks) was also good. Making clothing basically entirely cosmetic (besides some giving various bonuses outside of stats) and changing it so that cyberware is more impactful was also a good change. That said, removing mods from iconic weapons and not allowing you to upgrade the tiers of non-iconic weapons was genuinely a baffling change and I hope they reverse it in a hotfix/patch.

I hear the cops will attack the player they if they stumble upon you fighting any enemy.

From what I've experienced, cops go after you if you initiate open combat. Hacks are fine. Shooting back at others who shoot at you first is fine. But much like irl, fuck you if you're the one appearing to cause trouble and make them work.

Tested the police system last night. Can confirm this is true.

Cyberpunk’s cops have some punch to them. MaxTac even comes down and battling a MaxTac officer is basically a boss fight of its own. It’s difficult too

the token tranny was easily one of the worst parts of this shit: ey i know you for 4 seconds why dont you kill my faggot husband enemy? you could win this piece of shit truck with the tranny flag

If anything the tranny flag in Cyberpunk 2077 felt more like something explicitly anti-trans. Because in a game where you got humans with SD Cards in their fucking heads you should theoretically get it to where it is some Ghost in the Shell cyberpunk world where you can just hop in from being a 6'5 black linebacker to a 10 year old little girl.

But getting derailed I'm legitimately enjoying 2.0 and yes it would have been best if CD Projekt Red had just delayed the game till they had gotten it to this state but still making a flawed game good eventually is better than just leaving it shitty. Looking at you Halo Infinite which really did get a lot right in design and never bothered to add more than generic Tropical Landscapes when Halo CE had snow levels and the Flood in 2001.

It really felt hamfisted in by some dev later on. In a world where no one gives a fuck why would he need the flag? You wouldn't even know he was a tranny if he didn't tell you.
