Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

No. That doesn't mean plenty of devs wouldn't have.
Do you think they did it out of the kindness of their heart? I, at least very least, expect a working game when I pay for it. They had to fix it both for their reputation and so they didn't get hit with a lawsuit on a non-functioning product.

I was smart enough to wait until the game got the 1.5 update and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone who fell for the day one release was a grade A retard.
Again, I expect a working game on release. I don't know if the zoomer generation has acclimatised to broken games on release, but it is a psychotic expectation. The only grade A retards were the ones who paid full price instead of using a russian/ukrainian vpn to get a massive discount. I knew this game was going to be a janky game but I did not expect the level of incompetency that I saw on release.

The only thing 'fundamentally' wrong with it is that it isn't the gigantic choose your own adventure cyberpunk RPG they said it would be back before the actual game entered development.
And that makes it okay? Don't you remember the 45-minute gameplay demo of the rescue mission which incredibly different to the actual mission in the game? Either that video was entirely scripted to the point where it was a literal FMV sequence parading as gameplay or they removed things from the game before release. All the things they promised would've differentiated it from other games.

It's an above average open world action RPG now.
It's an average, mostly linear, looter shooter with a somewhat of an interesting storyline and voice acting, with a completely dead open world akin to Mafia 2.

Daikatana nearly ruined John Romero but a little chinese girl cartoon somehow breathed life back into an epic mess of a release and broken promises.

Is the game worth playing at this point? Because I was pretty fond of it before 2.0; was planning on making a new character to give a fresh run through, but from what I heard, it's apparently broke the game again? On PS5, I haven't actually noticed any real issues with glitches or anything so far; game was running just fine for me beforehand. Did CDPR really break it again?

Also, for the people who grabbed the DLC; how much political bullshit is in it?

Even my troon friends and my friends that are fine with troons hate the quest.
It was mostly because of how much of a petty and vengeful cunt he was that felt more evil rather than a "wife" stuck in mourning.

Which sidequest was this again? Was this that one for the Afterlife Bartender? Or am I mistaken?

also the dlc just dropped. thought it was coming later this week. apparently not. this one i will pirate only because i lack the 30 dollar to buy the thing anyway.

Reactions: I'm Retarded?
This is a bizarre complaint for a game with zero micro transactions that had all of the fixes applied entirely for free. CD is shit for releasing a busted game at the start but now it's an actual completed game with less nickel and dining than most.
There may be no microtransactions, but I still have no idea what the fuck this is supposed to be:

Basically you have to buy two minimum $5.99* gift subscriptions to unlock an exclusive weapon that so far has no other way to be acquired. There's a lot of weird info, it might just be a skin, it might be the actual weapon. It's hard to tell because I can't seem to find anyone that managed to redeem it.

EDIT: *Cheapest I've seen on their list of people, not sure if tax is included now that I think about it.

Jokes on whatever chumps actually shell out the 12 bucks; Panam's sniper is still gonna be better.
I haven't gotten that far yet but I dread seeing if/how they nerfed it even further than they have been. I utterly hate how they keep nerfing the fun weapons like it and the Malorian instead of making shit weapons better and more fun. I really wish CRPDR didn't hate marksman rifles like they do. I remember when Widowmaker got hit with a big nerfbat early on.

Of course, they really need to do something with the LMG's. Pretty much cleaned up all of Watson before I do the heist, and LMG's are in an even worse state in 2.0. They want you to go full Rambo with them, but (playing on Very Hard) the enemies are bullet sponges and V is fragile as hell, so unless you've got a weapon with high burst damage to act as CC with hit reactions or knockdowns you're just going to get shot to death the minute you step out of cover. That and the changes to the shooting system means you're going to miss 90% of your shots unless you're shoving it in their faces, especially since you shoot faster when you run low on stamina thanks to that unavoidable starting perk which you really, really don't want to be doing since it makes you even less accurate.

And while I do like they spread the weapon skills out so you don't become a jack of all trades by stacking Reflexes, they've also killed any hint of synergism between stats, or even inside the attributes themselves! You can't generate Adrenaline with LMG's which is something you desperately need considering their only use is as an angle grinder where you need to be up close and personal, and the heavy weapons mobility perk in Body doesn't apply to snipers, only the LMG/HMG weapons. While they did go too far with making something like O'Five need you to be a bodybuilder, they've gone too far in the other direction.

Still nothing compared to the netrunning nerfs where anything other than ping will immediately start the enemy netrunner tracking you. It's pretty obvious to me that they're trying to make netrunning more like what they intended where you have to be on the move constantly rather than the classic netrunner archetype where you can sit in one place but goddamn are people mad that they can't spread a suicide quickhack to everyone in the enemy base while sitting in their car at level 5 and I kind of understand because that was fun as hell even if it was brainless.

Having the health items and throwables refresh instead of being consumed is dumb. Started a new save, clearing out All Foods get to the door before Royce and the some of the loot in the area was flash-bang grenades, 4 of them and they didn't even refresh my used ones. why can't I carry more than 2 without having to spend perk points or to disassemble the excess to craft other things instead. Yes I get wanting to cut down on the abuse healing items to tank shoot outs strategy but on very hard that's the go to cause difficult just means you take more damage and deal less whilst it's inverse for the enemies. it's dumb and I can't break down the consumable drinks anymore. Outside of the perks 1.0 is better than 2.0

The product functioned, just not as well as people would have liked on last gen consoles. If you had a PC, the bugs in CP2077 were no worse than you'd expect out of any Bethesda release, but the world was better realized and the general writing was better.

Further, you will never convince me that people who bought the game on PS4 didn't get what they deserved. Same with Xbone. Ever since I was a little kid, it was common practice to check system requirements for PC games. This should be standard practice on consoles as well.

I remember checking the hardware on a base PS4 prior to CP2077's launch and it was so far below the minimum system requirements on PC, it was obvious that it would be a miracle if the game ran at all. Consoomers not being informed enough about their own property to know what it can and cannot do is not CDPR's problem, its the consoomer's problem for being that ignorant.

On PC? No issues thus far. Started playing with 2.0 again, everything seems to be generally better. Balance might be another story, the gameplay loop has changed significantly, but so far I'm enjoying it.

Looks like just a skin but I won't swear it. I do have a Smart Sniper that looks just like that in standard black though, but I'll be honest I can't be fucked to care about weapon skins in any game.

I appreciate these changes, Netrunning was so powerful it bordered on boring if you were able to spend a day doing it. That said, the economy changes make getting access to more powerful daemons a bit rough, so my Netrunning is slightly less effective atm.

are you retarded? the entire fucking point of consoles is that the shit you put on them work

You're right, instead of spending the five minutes it takes to look up a game's system requirements and what my console is even capable of, lets just go on blind faith it'll work perfect every time. I'm sure we will never get sold a lesser experience.

Kill yourself.

Yeah, they've gone too far since there's no way to outright break the trace aside from leaving the area. Having more ways to interrupt or slow down the trace would be great, or hell, even have T5/5+ self-ice kill the trace but go on doubled cooldown or something.

The useless side quest from Claire Russell. The whole quest is just agenda pushing right up to having to stare at a troon flag on the back of the truck. You don't find out this "chick" you've been talking to is actually a dude until the last of the 6 missions, where of course the troon gives a faggy monolog. It adds nothing to your character unless you really want th 100% which is also pretty useless.

Have you ever been diagnosed with a disability?

Have you ever been diagnosed with a disability?
Yes, its called "Not getting taken advantage of" because I know what my PC and my consoles are capable of. It causes me to look at things like "Minimum System Requirements" and compare them to hardware so that I know a base PS4 that came out in 2013 and had a mid-life upgrade sold a full price by Sony in order to keep up with the demands of modern gaming isn't going to play a super high end game coming out in 2020.

Its actually very beneficial.
