Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Yes, its called "Not getting taken advantage of" because I know what my PC and my consoles are capable of
Anyone with half a brain could look at Cyberpunk and tell it wasn't going to run worth dick on PS4/Xbone, and though I do agree it was shitty of CD to still release them and not just cancel the shit outright, it was funny to see people THAT stupid seethe endlessly about the game not working on their antiquated ass hardware.

I have only played the first four or five hours of 2.0 but so far I am still kind of mixed on the changes. Ripping out all the perks and loot system seemed unnecessary, even though they do seem more unique overall. I'm just remaking my body/reflex build and nothing about how I play seems too nerfed, guns blazing with super shotguns and machine guns seems about as effective as the first time I played.

So far leveled enemies don't seem much worse than usual and I do kind of get where people are coming from when they say that the setting shouldn't rely so heavily on numbers. A thug with a SMG at level 10 shouldn't randomly hurt me less than a thug with the same skills and SMG at level 20, but I dunno, it will suck to lose that feeling of turning into an absolutely unstoppable killing machine by the story's end.

This really is one of the skubbiest threads on the farms, you'd figure people would at least be discussing patch 2.0 and/or the expansion if the intention is to praise/criticize the game rather than slapfighting about bugs and terrible performance three years later.

the dlc is just more of the same
girlboss president yas queens in your vicinity while the nigger glowie batman vanishes behind you
coincidentally, both are the only unincorruptable people in the cyberpunk dystopia

^I can agree, the game had a rough launch, but it's been three years since the game came out; can we at least actually focus on the current patch and content rather than having a bunch of grown men stirring shit in the forums?

Anyways... I've yet to really sink my teeth into the game for a bit, been busy with a few other things on my end, but I think I'll give this game another shot hopefully soon enough. For a casual like myself who's honestly a fan of the open world, it does scratch the few itches that I was really wanting with the game; just having a nice cyberpunk world to explore was all I really wanted, personally. It runs just fine on my PS5, too.

The useless side quest from Claire Russell. The whole quest is just agenda pushing right up to having to stare at a troon flag on the back of the truck. You don't find out this "chick" you've been talking to is actually a dude until the last of the 6 missions, where of course the troon gives a faggy monolog. It adds nothing to your character unless you really want th 100% which is also pretty useless.

Thanks for the info; at least I know what to avoid, now.

How much wokeshit is actually in the DLC? Call me curious.

People love to hate. The fact of the matter is that since patch 1.5, the game has been in a pretty solid state. You can try to bitch about the game's writing but that's subjective. You can't really call Cyberpunk an ugly game graphically because it looks better than just about anything on the market.

CDPR cancelled a lot of planned features like Multiplayer to fix the bugs and launch issues so there's no drama there. They never added microtransactions, loot boxes, or battle passes, so there's nothing to complain about there.

The bulk of shit people have to complain about with Cyberpunk these days, if you exclude launch issues are: Kerry Eurodine is gay and Claire is trans. If you actually play the game, you can have more nuanced discussion like the changes in Patch 2.0 or the Expansion, but that would involve actually having to do something beyond looking up surface level talking points that were out of date years ago.

I'm having a lot of fun and yes on proper hardware the game is absolutely gorgeous. It's probably the best looking single player game currently on the market.

Poorfags are seething uncontrollably that their $200 used PS4 can't run a next gen game?

Imagine my fucking shock. Hyperdimension Neptunia 3 runs poorly on PS4, it's old as shit.

i mean, that is how it is. i liked the story. others may not. it's just opinion tbh
Nah man, we all have an approved list of universally "good" things and universally "bad" things.

Cyberpunk didn't live up to everyone's hopes and dreams so its automatically bad. It also didn't try to redefine the Cyberpunk Genre or add any crazy new ideas to it, so that makes it automatically not good.

Mostly people who haven't played it still whining about that shit.

Honestly story is pretty good despite the pacing issues. The ticking clock element just doesn't jive with the open world gameplay, but when I was invested I was super invested.

Sorry dude it's woke and gay and it wasn't the game I built up in my head after looking at a CGI trailer and a list of bullet points. That means it's shit and you are not allowed to talk about it.

I'm torn on the ticking clock element. On the one hand, there is no real sense of urgency. On the other hand if you tackle the side quests in different orders you get really nice, subtle touches you don't notice until repeat playthroughs.

For instance I think the most common way to play is that after the Heist you talk to Takemura and do Judy's questline at the same time you do Takemura's. This makes sense because Takemura tells you to find Evelyn in Tom's Diner, you have to spend 10K to get access to Panam's questline, you're probably broke and carless thanks to Del.

Anyway, if you do Judy's questline, after you rescue Evelyn Parker there's a scene where Johnny and V are talking on Judy's balcony and Johnny is begging V to smoke a cigarette because he's craving one bad. You then have the option to either smoke or not smoke.

However if you sideline Judy and do Panam first, when you get to that same scene on subsequent playthroughs, you actually lose the option to choose not to smoke, as V and Johnny have merged more, it is no longer a conscious choice that V makes and its a nice little indicator of how much the Relic is affecting the character.

Yes, its called "Not getting taken advantage of" because I know what my PC and my consoles are capable of. It causes me to look at things like "Minimum System Requirements" and compare them to hardware so that I know a base PS4 that came out in 2013 and had a mid-life upgrade sold a full price by Sony in order to keep up with the demands of modern gaming isn't going to play a super high end game coming out in 2020.

Its actually very beneficial.
Yep, you are a retard.

What is with all these fags shitting up the thread trying to pretend that this game isn't the most basic bitch by the numbers open world game imaginable, and the launch wasn't a fucking disaster?
People associating enjoyment with some kind of indisputable quality. I still love Oblivion to this day, but I can't deny what a mess it is in terms of game mechanics. Skyrim is objectively the superior game except it lacks a lot of the qualities in Oblivion I enjoyed. Despite me liking both, it doesn't change how much both are lacking in general. Some people have a weird guilt/denial that a thing they like is still shit. I know because I had it before I realized how stupid pretending like everything about something is good was. This is more commonly seen with nostalgia fags still crying over muh golden age of CRPGs and the golden age of vidya in general.

You're the one who bought shitpunk, retard. I never even played this terrible piece of shit Pole game.
This isn't the own you think it is.
Ah so you're just a faggot who gets off on being angry.
Listen if I'm not riding a rage high from gaming controversies that happened three fucking years ago then what am I even doing with my life?

I don't think anyone is doing that except to say that it's fucking old hat complaints that don't fucking matter or apply anymore.

People were trying to discuss 2.0 and the DLC and rage monkies showed up pretending it was launch day all over again to predictably cry about trannies and bitch about how the game wasn't muh true dream Cyberpunk RPG.

I don't really see how Skyrim is of any greater quality than Oblivion. It certainly takes less risks and waters down its RPG Mechanics to barely matter. If your definition of "indisputable quality" includes RPG Mechanics that define a character, Skyrim is objectively worse than Oblivion.

If the only thing you care about is hitting things with your sword, Skyrim is slightly better I guess because it isn't as bogged down by the RPG systems, but most people I know who're long running fans of TES were really bothered by the watering down of Skyrim. It also introduced the best criticism to be leveled not just at Skyrim but Bethesda as a whole: As wide as an ocean and as deep as a puddle.

Your post also very interestingly ignores the fact that the only people here shitting up the thread are people bringing up three year old, no longer applicable criticisms of the game and some faggot who hasn't even played it slinging shit like a scorned lover.
