It honestly amazes me that she can still somehow manage without a headrest or other tools (except the wheelchair) to support her . Dunno if she would post publicly about that sort of downsides of her ''bettering herself'' but she's keen on receiving attention so maybe she would.

Why isn't Ashley in the hospital?
Because she doesn't want to get better. Ashley is an adult and can refuse medical treatment, which she has done and will do if anyone tries to intervene.

But PPE, what about the Baker Act?
Even if she were declared mentally unfit and forced into an eating disorder program it would be a waste. As soon as she was finished with the mandatory inpatient sentence she would go right back to her old habits, because to her being infamous for looking like death and not having to be a functioning member of society as a result is far more rewarding than health.

What did Ashley look like pre-eating disorder?
We'll likely never know. The pictures of her from her 4chan days do depict her at a normal weight but she still had an eating disorder at the time (you can easily see her bulimia cheeks in the OP's picture of her). After she was forced inpatient there's a long time where she was absent from the internet, and she returned as the skeletal version of Ashley we know today.

Does she know she has a problem?
Yes, she is fully aware that she has a very serious eating disorder as well as BPD and trichotillomania (evidenced by the lack of eyebrows) and I'm sure there's more. She has no intention of getting help for these illnesses because she can use the severity of them to manipulate people for gifts (she has yet to set up a gofundme as far as I know but she whores out her Amazon wishlist on tumblr which includes binge food) and as a get-out-of jail free card for being a huge bitch.

How is she not dead yet?/Strap her down and force feed her!/She looks worse than a Holocaust victim!

I like it but I think it would be even better if you could add some sources for "Does she know she has a problem?" like a link to a screencap. Another question you should add is "Where are her parents?" explaining that her mother encourages her bad behavior.

Individual liberty/autonomy is obsessively protected and defended by by both political parties in the United States. Unless you break the law in a very serious way it's nearly impossible to hospitalize someone without their consent. A majority of the homeless population are the severely mentally ill for this exact same reason.

Yeah the update is she's not gonna binge/purge donuts anymore... so there's that.

People new to Ash always want to rush in a force feed her, save the little lamb etc. She's had APS called on her more than once.

She does not want to get better and what's more, she's a toxic person. She has BPD and isn't planning to do anything about that either... BPD makes Ali Rapp a shitty person and guess what? It also makes Ash one. She's taking revenge on her mother for various teen incidents that she's not over, and she's taking revenge on anyone who ever called her 'chubby' as a teen. Sure, Ash has passed the point where she has good faculties, but she's as driven and bitter as it gets.

I don't know what to think anymore... If I want that Ashley seeks help and try to better herself or if I want that she dies, because shes passed the turning point a long long time ago. And there's the fact that she is a horrible person who does anything to alienate herself from others.

Ash chose this. Every ugly aspect of her life is something she's been given countless options to avoid, and she's chosen it all the same. She does it for attention and she gets it, so why would she ever want to change?
People who intentionally create their own suffering don't deserve help.
