Ze pirates stare over the hill at the city below them, reminiscing of a time long past when they used to explore and go on minor adventures every once in a blue moon. But alas, in the back of their minds they know and fear that they shall never explore again as Dobson won't really bother drawing anything.

That image would be an okay header if he ever drew a story.... or backgrounds. That could be a somewhat cool city that actually means something, but Dobson's never written a darn story about these pirates, only shallow gags that say little to nothing about the world of AZP or its characters. Adventure stories are awesome, c'mon man, do something, get of Twidder!

First of all: Good God, we have to see that walking mass of smugness and blue butt pubes again. It doesn't surprise me that he bailed on Ghostbusters, though. Not only was it a financial disaster but nobody cares about it anymore, and he must have realized that trying to push it anymore would have made him look foolish, in a VERY brief moment of clarity.

AzP is the most confusing thing I ever saw anyone decide to make up as a comic, because Dobson doesn't even seem to have ever had an idea WHAT he wanted to do with it. Did he want to make it more like a daily strip thing with no continuity? A thing with 15 page short stories that tell their own little stories, like the comic sof Rene Goscinny? Or did he want to make an ongoing storyarc, which would be better for something intented to be adventure? He is trying to do all the things, yet at the same time does nothing of them right.

These two thoughts just randomly entered my mind, now that you're talking about it:

1) Is it just me, or does AzP just remind me of Alien vs. Predator when I see it? I find it rather sad that the comic is so unremarkable, not even the initials can clue you in on what's being talked about unless you think about it.

2) What would be Dobson's reaction to seeing rule 34 of Alex Ze Pirate? (And I'm not talking about lesbian porn, either, because we all know what Dobson can and will do in response) I'm talking about Alex and LESBIAN KICK being bombarded by dicks. Would he be engulfed in rage? Will he moo all over Twitter, looking for his safe space?

Then again, active troling is looked down here and considering that this thing had been done with Chris before, not very original.
That said, it also makes me realize something that is hilarious in some way: Dobson's work is so uninspiring, there isn't even porn of it.

Yeah, that's rather sad. I think a webcomic artist said in response to porn being made of his works that he was flattered that people care enough about the characters that porn was being made of them.

I wonder, have you ever read his AzP comics? There's many strips that have no real continuity between them, like they are a gag-a-day thing, then there's a few short comics with a few pages, but their content is so lackluster, they barely manage to be a story. I think the only time Dobson actually put something resembling a plot into one of his comics, was a story about Doormat leaving the group after finding some old trinket that reminded him of a friend of his.
The whole story is so fucking bad from start to finish, too. Every character in that story comes across as a narcistic, egoistic, incompetent asshole. It's marvelous. And Dobby was trying to go for heart warming drama.

I'm pretty sure this comic was done in response to Dobson. It's not the only time Kevin did this, as it's pretty well known that he hates Dobson.
