Just Stop Oil - A conglomerate of unwashed, pseudoscience-pedalling, virtue-signalling, middle-class cunts.

God, people are so weak today. Decades ago, they would've been choked out or had their cracker teeth kicked in. Why can't people just fight anymore? It would solve so many issues.
The vandalism itself was pretty limp-wristed, too. I was expecting them to dump buckets of orange paint all over everything, not wipe their orange hands all over everything and have a lame little spray can squirting in the air.

Like come on, at least make it interesting. This was just awkward.

Though it's pretty obvious this group is a psyop.
I'm genuinely convinced that they are in fact well-meaning retards. It has all the hallmarks of a silly cult and the way the members act suggests that they believe in their bs.

Someone should tell them that the Rotherham gangs aren't carbon-neutral. Let's see if they actually care about what they say.

I’m torn between wanting these guys to get beaten for being annoying fags bothering people trying to live their lives and just laughing at Europeans

Why can't it be both?

Destructive protests should always be answered with violence, ideally from the people whose lives or property are disrupted or damaged. If your protest can't withstand resistance (competent or otherwise), you shouldn't be doing it. If you're just afraid of taking a kick to the teeth, you've got no business being an "activist" at all.

ETA: Yes, I'm aware that if you fight back against a protester (even when they've already hurt you or damaged your property) you might be punished by your government (it even happens in the US now), but that's exactly why protesters act they way they do -- nobody dares hit back for fear of being punished. It doesn't take more than the occasional counter-slap to remind them they've still got skin in the game that can actually be scalped regardless of the law. Take one for the team every once in awhile to drastically improve QoL for the people around you.

Why didn't any of the people around run up and try to stop them? What the Hell is wrong with people these days?

They should've done this.
Although they're gamers so it'd look more like this
They targeted gamers...
Elohim, God on high, can you hear your people cry?
Help us now
This dark hour

Is anyone an advocate of the idea that all these oil nuisance groups are funded by one-world-order type cabals in order to make the general population more amenable to hyper authoritarian overreach?

It seems that the main outcome of these stunts is that people look at them and say "what fucking clowns" and they don't actually generate any level of support from the wider population. Possibly the endpoint of this would involve governments around the world cracking down and putting an end to such stunts by instituting harsh penalties for the perpetrators (and potentially supporters indirectly involved). Potentially involving the drafting of laws that would allow for the penalties to be applied more broadly beyond oil nuisance stunts.

I would imagine that most people would oppose such measures from their government, but if the measures were framed in such a way that they were attempting to put an end to the people who are keeping you from boarding a flight or blocking up traffic during rush hour... Makes you wonder.

Personally I would gladly support measures to ensure the preservation of the environment, but when these clowns are hurling paint and gluing themselves to the road, I start to sympathize more and more with the idea of someone running them over with a bus... I can't imagine this is a minority opinion.
I recall linking an article in this thread to an article about BP oil funding advertisement campaigns to blame consumers for climate change, aka the carbon footprint concept.

They were running this campaign shortly after the gulf oil spill.

The usually leftist new site, The Guardian, has confirmed that it was BP oil that invented the concept of “carbon footprint”.

All of these people screeching about climate change are literally repeating talking points coming from the most environmentally destructive corporation, like good little bootlickers.

As far as I remember, the Canadian guy that ran over Freedom Convoy protesters either didn't get punished at all, or got severely less punishment, compared to the Convoy members.

Here's their official post on this matter. I want to go through this.

Three Just Stop Oil supporters coated a giant screen with orange paint at major games expo EGX 2023. They are demanding the UK Government halts all new oil and gas projects, and are calling on gamers to march with Just Stop Oil in London this November. [1]
For some reason they believe spraying people in paint and interrupting a one-in-a-lifetime moment for these competitors and audiences alike gets them on their side. I'm aware of the accusations Just Stop Oil is a false flag by oil companies, but the people engaging in these protests still have to be convinced to do this.

Today at 15:48pm, cosplaying as ‘Ghostbusters’ characters, the three used adapted water pistols to target a viewing screen for the Tekken 7 tournament winner’s final being held at ‘The Arena’ stage in London’s Excel conference centre. They were escorted out by venue security, before being arrested for Criminal Damage by the Metropolitan Police.
Yeah, these aren't ghostbuster costumes. If you ask me, they look like people rich enough to have the spare money to waste their time on this nonsense.

A Just stop Oil spokesperson said:

“Video games let us escape into new and exciting dimensions, but real world physics are about to deliver the deaths of billions. Put more carbon into the atmosphere at this point and it’s game over. Gamers co-operate to win, and we need these skills to survive. Everyone must step up and join in civil resistance against new oil and gas, because this isn’t a game. Let’s unite to make this world safe, so that we can get back to exploring cyber worlds. Join Just Stop Oil on a slow march through London from 29th October”
This is the crux of this idea. "Gamers cooperate to win," they say when interrupting a fighting game tournament where the only format is a 1-v-1. "This isn't a game and you shouldn't treat it as an escape from real world issues," they say while turning themselves into the real world issue the players want to escape from.

Idris, a 20 year old artist from London, was one of those taking action today. They said:

“It is vital that we draw as much attention as possible to the genocidal decisions the government is making. I won’t stand aside while billions are sentenced to death and neither should you.”
This statement isn't what catches my eye. It's the guy's occupation as an "artist." This immediately tells me this is another useless tumor with rich parents who decided to join some stupid cause which makes everyone around them miserable.

EGX 2023 is sponsored by Barclays Bank, who have been described at the “Europe’s number 1 financier of the climate crisis”. They have financed around $167 billion in fossil fuels. Moreover, Shell sponsors popular game Fortnite as well as gaming influencers. Children and teen players are directed to fuel up at digital Shell stations, in a promotion for a new petrol product. Shell’s planned emissions from 2018 to 2030 are estimated to account for close to 1.6% of the global carbon budget. [2] [3] [4]
The problem with this logic is these players aren't being sponsored by EGX, they are just competing there. Tekken's developers have nothing to do with this either. And if you have a problem with Shell sponsoring Fortnite, why don't you host a protest at a Shell station or an Epic Games building? Why attack random people who have nothing to do with this? Why Tekken? Because it was convenient?

Just Stop Oil supporters are not prepared to stand by and watch while the government plans for millions to die and destroys everything we care about. It’s up to all of us now to come together and resist. We cannot let them divide us. Together we can be the real opposition this country needs and we will win. We will stop new oil and gas. People are coming together from all over the UK to march day after day in London from 29th October. It’s People vs Oil!
Nobody likes Just Stop Oil, and it's because of exactly what happens in this video. I've seen them interrupt racing events for electric vehicles, try to salt the earth at a flower garden, and now attack people at a video game tournament that is only related to an oil company by three degrees of separation, which is ironically more distant than Just Stop Oil's very own connection to oil company funding.

Since it isn't legal for victims of their "protests" to do this:

ezgif-5-f3bf8b8755.gif

All I can do is beg these protestors to please stop attacking random people who have nothing to do with anything to prove a point about a major conglomerate corporation which most likely isn't even based on the same continent as the individuals you are covering in paint and obstructing. You're all just being used, you've got to learn sooner or later before somebody decides to throw you into a volcano.

Its a really good thing that they don't try this at American Fighting Game Tournaments because the Tekken community in America is extremely melanated and would have stomped those dudes out for dumping paint on their stuff.

Every member of this organization deserves to have their heads caved in. I get blinding rage when I see fag activists bugging normal people, even if they are the Br*t*sh. I assume why they probably stick around the UK mainly is because you guy’s probably end up in jail for just thinking about wanting to punch one of these fags.

I mean if you're playing Tekken with a bunch of cameras on why risk having to deal with any legal bullshit when you could just laugh at them getting arrested? If this happened in the street with no cameras then yeah, fuck them up.

Something so unexpected can have a paralytic effect on people. It's related to the bystander effect, where everyone assumes someone else will do something about it, delaying their own response.
You'd think that, even with the shock of the situation, some people would try to physically attack them and beat the shit out of them.

The reason I follow this story is because I'm fascinated that this literally has never happened. People will be like, "there's a woman trying to take her child to the hospital!" Yet no barrage of punches until the protestor is unconscious. They all just sit their, suffer, and verbally assert that they disagree with the methods.

Is it a British thing? Do I just not understand people? Am I a would-be violent retard?

And catch an assault charge? No chance.
In the US, where you can legally attack anyone for using a racial slur against you as long as you're not white, you wouldn't get an assault charge.

Especially if it was a life and death situation of trying to get your child to get emergency medical care.

For example, some kid died in an ambulance waiting for the protestors to listen to reason (they didn't). In the US, you could legally attack them, run them over, threaten their lives, or physically coerce them to move.
