Further to my post above about Barb and rape kit, this was the basis of the speculation for the rape kit.

The fact that they held him and didn’t let him go after a few days.
This showed that they obviously suspected him of more than just the stealing/taking unauthorized money from her account.

Obviously because it was an ongoing investigation and is now a closed case, we will likely never know what it really was for, but everyone’s best guess is that it was for abuse of Barb, sexual or otherwise.

i suspect they must not have had enough evidence to prove anything on barbs side of things. they cant exactly talk to her and ask if chris did anything to her because in her mental state she might not even be aware enough to realize anything was happening to begin with. plus the courts were super backed up at the time so its possible chris would have been set free way earlier if not for the courts being how they were.
