As someone who started watching Rekieta a couple of years back (he was my default background noise during lockdown), he always seems to have been walking a tightrope between his id and superego. The former to be entertaining and the latter to lend his output some intellectual legitimacy

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Nick Rekieta. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of being cuckolded most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about Drexel fucking his wife. Following @Mister Dongs back to the Farms was a mistake, IMO. Hence, the claim that Rippa has thin-skin has an air of truth to it. Being CG, that incident largely flew under most people's radar though. Twas a tiny blip.
