2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

It's basically about how Pro-Israel jews are swinging even more democrat and anti-Israel after the Hamas' actions.

Most Israeli Jews view American Jews the same way Africans view African Americans. Jews living in UK and Germany not viewed much better by Israeli Jews. Not sure about rest of Europe.

My community is strong republican no matter what bc of LGBT shit
Unfortunately I don't think the Republicans are going to keep strict positions on rainbow stuff anymore, saying that homosexuality is not to be celebrated is going to be treated like being a KKK member and they want a seat at the table.

What you do in your bedroom with consenting adults is your business, but the party is fucking dead as far as I'm concerned.

Oh look, Chickens for Colonel Sanders are on the march again. Africans tend to not be fond of American blacks because of certain cultural differences, for one, Africans who end up here take opportunities seriously.

Good analysis. I think one of the lessons to be learned from warfare in the 2020s is:

Size does matter.

The Russia/Ukraine war has shown that you need large numbers of troops to fight a serious war. The US has toyed with this idea of military doctrine that focuses on special ops commandos doing surgical strikes to win the day but it's clear now that that's not enough.

Israel basically predicates its entire defense strategy on this idea, thinking that a tiny country with advanced technology can hold the entire surrounding region at bay. Advanced tech is becoming more available (see the antitank drone video on the last page) and Israel has no strategic depth or throngs of expendable people like Russia does.

I suspect that the health and attitude of the United States is one of Israel's greatest worries now. There must be conversations between the countries' leaders about how putting American boots on the ground over there is simply not feasible politically, and influential segments of the US public are now openly cheering for Hamas. Israel's calculations in the past may have been based on the idea that they could summon US troops to protect them at will but that's looking more and more uncertain.
Thanks, and yeah, Israel has no strategic depth and roughly half its neighbors don't either. Lebanon and Jordan are hard up, which is probably why Hezbollah performs better than the SAA or Iraqi army, for example. Wouldn't wanna be Colonel Schlomo getting slonked for shitting up the plans for something that is literally impossible to not fuck up. B/C there is no way this doesn't backfire in some way that means the public wants a couple of scalps for. That's how large scale wars tend to be.
As far as american opinion, the jewish lobby in the united states screwed itself. The most hated government on earth (congress) is publicly seen agreeing on massive amounts of aid when food prices in some areas have doubled. You can get people to go along with this that or the other when its purely a moral issue, but when you're having trouble feeding your kids or filling up your car someone else's baby on the other side of the world has a lot less mental bandwidth. Many people I know are increasingly seeing foreign intervention as a part of an out of touch elite political class and not something they have a stake in (true or false).

Beyond, a 60% brown america full of swarthoids from all over will reflexively side with the people that they relate to the most. No amount of explanation can override the emotional reaction of an emotionally driven gut response. If Israel wants to count on the USA in the future the best option would burying the hatchet and becoming a global exporter of white nationalist ideology based on some common heritage/culture to ensure they have an army of AR wielding corn fed baptists scots irish to terrorize their neighbors with. This will not happen, neither jews nor WN would accept it, but it would provide the most efficient long term solution to both sides of the issue (we both do ethnic cleansing and respect eachothers' nation states). For various historical and practical reasons, this will not happen, but it serves as a useful conjecture to consider how dire the Israeli relations are with the USA for the future. It is unlikely they will be able to have any sort of power in china that is anything close to their influence in the USA fast enough to cover the gap. A chinese century may include israel, but its future is murky at best as american global influence declines (slowly but surely).

I can't speak on europe, but they've historically been less supportive and they're experiencing insane levels of islamic immigration, so I think it will be similar.

Any authentic right wing party that makes a serious dent in europe's demographic disaster would likely support arabs punitively, so they've no hope from the radical right in Europe either.

Russia made a military mistake intervening in Ukraine with too few soldiers for the size of the battlefront.
Israel is doing the opposite, sending a thousand soldiers per km2 seems really excessive, especially with how few working age adults they have.

Good point about rubble and tanks.
My point was about troop availability, not necessarily deployment, but you're correct here. I don't think the numbers are excessive, napkin math puts Hamas and affiliates' numbers at roughly 150K, which is roughly the size of the initial soviet garrison at Stalingrad, and unlike the soviets, Palestians can't make a strategic retreat for any reason, have had years to dig in, and have major home field advantage. If you bomb the fuck out of an area you basically have to move in CQB infantry style.

Edit: Also worth noting the Germans initially assaulted Stalingrad with a force roughly 270K strong, and failed to completely take the city initially.

This reminds me of Azov in Mariupol, honestly.

No, no, the Squats or whatever they're called now are the Jews. Think about, who loves gold and money more than dwarves?
If you want blindingly obvious, look at Shadowrun's lore on Dwarves, at least in 5th edition. It was "I can't believe they got away with this" levels.
Tolkein made his dwarves explicitly jewish out of philosemitism and the offiical reason GW squatted the squats is that they were racist against the concept of dwarves by being too cartoonish (these are unrelated but topical).

Netanyahu is already in his 70s and has been in and out PM for two decades. He should retire.
An Israeli poster indicated he's PM rn b/c he really doesn't want to go to jail for corruption or something. AFAIK the Israelis were also having difficulty forming a government over this, but my source was lebanese so IDK.

I want every hostage freed as soon as possible, but I also don’t see a way to rescue them without essentially rewarding Hamas for kidnapping civillians. These two hostages were freed through negotiations. It seems like hostage-taking is now going to be incentivized.

"One of the Cilician pirates’ most notable hostages was Julius Caesar . In 75 BC, the future Roman Dictator, who was 25 years at that time, was captured by the Cilician pirates while on his way to Rhodes to study oratory. The pirates demanded a ransom of 20 talents, to which Caesar laughed, saying that they did not know who he was and offered to pay 50 talents. Indeed, Caesar maintained his un-captive-like behavior for the 38 days the pirates held him. For instance, when he wanted to sleep, he would tell them to stop talking and chide them if they failed to appreciate the poems and speeches he wrote. Caesar even threatened, laughingly, on various occasions to have them hanged. The pirates tolerated, even delighted in, Caesar’s boldness attributing it to a sort of “simplicity and boyish mirth”.
ventually, the ransom arrived, and Caesar was set free at Miletus. Immediately, Caesar took command of some ships and set sail from the harbor against the pirates. When he found them, he had them captured and put in a prison in Pergamon. Caesar allowed Marcus Junius, the governor of Asia, to punish the pirates himself as that fell under his jurisdiction. The governor, however, was indecisive and Caesar took matters into his own hands. He had the pirates taken out of prison and crucified."

Tale as old as time.

theyre not sending all the hundreds of thousands of soldiers they mobilized into gaza
i think a huge chunk of those troops are taking positions in the north to guard against potential hezbollah attack, and others reinforce the west bank

Very confirmed now that even though Saint Porphyrius' Church wasn't directly targeted by an Israeli airstrike, that it was severely damaged and people inside died.
Including relatives of a former congressman.
that seems to read that "part of the complex" was the destroyed, sounds like the same building near the old one as the video?

Maybe it means the creation of a nominally independent Israeli puppet regime in Gaza?

Yup, either that or they intend to wall of the two areas and cut all ties completely. With a totally militarized border in the extreme. Mines, MGs, no man's land etc. Though that's probably just the baseline of any plan TBH. I imagine they will be taking a more hands on approach to security beyond that too.
