Mass shooting reported at multiple locations in Lewiston, Maine

I stopped respecting Steve a long time ago during Covid - I'd still check him out with his TDS during the Trump years but he really got unhinged during C19.
Steve Lookner's phenotype tells a tale that would take too many words to tell in any other medium.

How does this work? Is there a guy in Langley whose job it is to speed-write a manifesto every time some basketcase shoots up a gathering? Or do they have a bunch of irons in the fire with a custom manifesto already written up ready to drop when one of their assets commits mass murder? Do they just like print it out at Office Max and plop it on their corpse, airdrop it to their phone...? I'm a pretty fast writer, how do I get that job?
How long does it take you to write a Word document? And it's probably gotten easier with the advent of AI. The Buffalo faggot's manifesto was basically Brenton Tarrant's with a few find-and-replace changes.

We're going over 3 hours with almost no leads as to where this guy is, a guy who's name and face we have. This tool is either Incel Rambo or the Lewiston first responders are insanely out of their depth.
The immediate first responders were small-town Maine cops. They probably get one hour a year of mandatory active shooter training. This situation reminds me of the active shooter situation in Nova Scotia, Canada. It was a similar case where the rural police force was completely out of their depth, and the perpetrator cruised around for 14 hours, killing 22 people. They only ended up catching him by sheer dumb luck when they ran into him stopping at a gas station.

Lewiston is neither rural nor a small town, it's the second largest city in Maine. Granted that's still not exactly a metropolis, but comparing it to Portapique (year round pop. 100) doesn't really work. It has a fairly low violent crime rate, though, so the cops likely weren't prepared for this.

Auburn Maine is the 5th largest and under a mile from Lewiston just across the river.

Oh no, he watched the latest Garand Thumb video! j/k
How tf do you let this man keep his guns after making a viable threat like that? I'm not saying everyone with similar problems perm loses the right to arms, but Jesus christ its common sense.
Not too hard to buy weapons and ammunition and bury them. I'd imagine that most firearms instructors have a small arsenal stashed away for SHTF scenarios.

I am not sure of the exact way the military stores its weapons but surely someone has to have the keys to the locked up guns as they may actually need to use them during emergency. It might not be the weapons instructor but he might be the one who returns them to the armory. Does the range have its own armory or do they have to walk the guns across base every single day? If he works on the guns he could at the very least steal key parts not available otherwise.

I predict they don't find him tonight. The police are flailing and don't even have a perimeter. All they have are single helicopter and a few roads closed. Did they even consider the possibility of him taking a small boat down river?
They've GOT to have heat detectors, with all the woods up there.

You're not wrong. I guess its the saving grace meant more for people that are having an acute mental crisis (and showing signs), as opposed to someone having a lucid, yet ill-determined/homicidal grand plan i.e chris dorner, Stephen paddock.

Some people will always slip through the cracks, regardless of measures. Others are 100% avoidable, and I think this one (so far) falls into that category. We will know more once his house is raided, and the extent of the stockpiling.

Im sure his handler VA case worker is going to "find" a copy tomorrow.

Chopper is making tighter and tighter turns around a specific area, possibly indicating they found someone
I think if they had spotted someone the chopper would be hovering over them.

The boat launch is a good spot to leave a 2nd car. If he did that he is gone. Get on 95 and in 3 hrs he could be in massachusetts or bumbfuck no where northern maine by now.

Or maybe he hopped in his little fishing canoe and rolled down the river to some little nook he knows about.
