So what's the endgame here?

Even if Israel was able to kill 80% of Hamas fighter and 100% of it's equipment/ infrastructure, what's to say that in 15 to 20 years this generation of Palestinian youths don't become the next Hamas terrorists? Hamas has proved resourceful enough to even make rockets from water pipes and common pharmaceutical chemicals notwithstanding the smuggling.

So how is Israel not creating the terrorist of tomorrow with the actions of today?

It's likely that Israel wants to create a wider buffer area, to be honest.

Currently there's 'leaked plans' that Israel had to push the Gazans into the Sinai desert.


The thing I'd like to preface this with is, take this with a grain of salt. In intelligence, often people have to propose multiple plans, and all contingencies. World leaders need to know all options that are on the table, even unrealistic ones or ones that noone even domestically will ever entertain. Think "US plans to invade Canada". Does it mean the US planned to invade Canada? No. Does it mean a plan was drawn up among dozens of other possible options? Sure.


This was likely one such drawn up plan, and maybe even something the Israeli government flirted telling the evangelicals about, but its not a plan I think they'd actually entertain. This would be more of a "lets brainstorm ideas, say everything and anything that comes to mind".

Conversely, this is also probably why Egypt announced "they were willing to sacrifice millions of lives to protect their land from invasion". I guess they really, really do not want Palis and are saying "fuck you, you keep them, were willing to let millions of our own people die rather than have Palis in our country". Puts things into perspective I guess.


Another potential plan is that a UN peacekeeping force (including the US) will occupy Gaza after the war. Again, remember- in brainstorming sessions multiple plans are always thought up, this does not mean that they will be the plan.


I'm not going to get into this one, but for reasons half the thread can espouse more trollishly than I can, the US will probably not have an interest in "doing Israels' dirty work and patrolling Gaza" for them.

Realistically I think the current working operation is that Israel is likely going to try and create an even greater demilitarized zone in Gaza (at the Gazans expense), this cramping the strip even more. This is likely why they are clearing the north first and trying to push everyone out to the south- because most Israel settlements are near the north of Gaza.

Coupled with a wider DMZ along the border wall in the south, and thats the working solution Id argue that they currently have.

There are talks of trying to place Gaza under West Bank control, but thats a separate issue. Regardless, thats more a political solution. If you want to know the military/strategic solutions for the Palestinians, these are the current working ones. They will likely need to combine a strategic solution, with a political one in some cases (ie, wider DMZ + West Bank control)

In regards to impacts, you'll notice that most of the Hamas videos that show them cut off right after the initial explosion, because the results are usually less than impressive. For instance, Israeli D9 bulldozers are reported to have shrugged off multiple RPG hits. Likewise, it seems that the Trophy system combined with reactive armor is so far performing well against anti-tank missiles (the incident in which 11 Givati soldiers were killed being an exception; the system failed to fire for an unknown reason). The Hebrew article I read the above in also claimed that Hamas's drones are suffering a very high rate of attrition (as do drones in Ukraine), so that could be another reason for the lack of footage.

Found both of these in response to a ben shapiro tweet in the replies and it's amazing how both groups are basically using the same propaganda.

The main difference being the top one never happened and the bottom one did. "Civilian" (who can eve tell who is a civilian in this case since they don't wear military uniforms anyways) deaths are caused from collateral damage from bombings that citizens are warned about ahead of time. Meanwhile Hamas went into people's homes and systematically murdered, raped, and kidnapped people, including children.
