Never been to America but I've heard your Chocolate has something in it that isn't in European/UK chocolate, and that it tastes like vomit.
Also American-style pizza is the superior kind... or however the bread is fried

The chocolate thing is just specifically Hershey's, but yes its grim.

Of course you can find quality independent chocolatiers here as well. I, of course, have a very good one in my town.
 
Just watched the MATI about the cheese rant.

I'm not reading the entire thread, but even Walmart has a "deli" in another part of the store that has fresh meats and cheeses of far different kinds.

What Josh is referring to is the stand alone bags of preshredded cheese or fake sliced cheese not the fresh options in the deli.

EDIT:
I forgot about fresh bread in the bakery section Walmart doesn't have good bread but any other major grocery store CostCo being the best has a fresh bread section with many kinds.

It's actually something not in it that makes some people experience a bad taste. The chocolate isn't fermented long enough. Much like wine, the chocolate is fermented in a yeast-like microbe that naturally grows on it's surface. Americans tend to like the darker stuff and to not have niggers barefoot stomp on our food so, we take a more "sterile" option. This is changing. This issue is not just America but UK too. Proper fermentation met with proper heating for melting/setting the chocolate will give it a lot more diversity of natural flavor. Consider it a burgeoning market.

Yet another thing that is more present in America than most realize. There is one town in my state with lots of artisan candy makers and other towns with their new crop of post-pandemic foodie huts are trying to compete. We have a mushroom grower who has been getting locals to grow their own too.

There’s a Viet place near my house that has an in house bakery.

I otherwise pretty much agree with all of this.

All of the beef I eat comes from a local beef share. The cows are raised 25 minutes away from where I live. They are
100% grass-fed and most of the herd is Black Angus with some Murray Grey for genetic variation. 60% yield guarantee by pound. Yes the cows are USDA wrapped, the processing facility is 20 minutes from the farm. The meat comes hand delivered to my house. The farm offers a lamb share also but I don't eat enough lamb for it to be worth it.

I make all of my own bread but if I didn't there's a bakery 15 minutes away. Two of my friends get up at 3 am to make the bread so it's definitely 100% locally produced.
