So then why didn't they cry for the dead jews on October 7th? And I get what you're saying.
They live in societies where everyone in any position of influence or power condemned Oct 7 very loudly.
The difference with what is going on in Gaza now is that they see their leaders and basically the entire Western world rushing to support Israel's actions which they disagree with. They see their own countries as enablers of the killings in Gaza. So speaking loudly, protesting and other efforts have a purpose. To change their country's policies. To let their politicians know this isn't what they support.
So it's a key distinction.
Explain in a non meme way. Like actually why would legit gays support the Gaza strip, an area that HATES them but not Israel a country that allows gay pride parades? Like I get it if they hated the current Israeli government (I'm no fan of it either) but they don't say "i hate the government not the people" like they do for their other shit head countries. They just hate it all.
Those sorts of people are a bit narcissistic, so they need to virtue signal and make an aspect of this about themselves. They would see the people in Gaza as people before looking at their beliefs around the gays. It's probably irrelevant to why they're against them being slaughtered.
Trump broke people's brains in the worst way. Why is it so hard for lefties to understand that Donald Trump got elected because he was bringing up issues that other politicians didn't talk about? I'm convinced that most people didn't really listen or care to his answers to those issues, but he at least brought them up. I didn't vote for the man because I thought he was a con artist and I also didn't like how he had zero experience in governing it all. I know for some people the outsider belief was a pro but for me it was not.
My theory is those that who went deranged just get told what to think or know. Look up opinions online. They knew for a solid fact Trump couldn't win. They knew Hillary would be amazing. There's a long election cycle where that was constantly being reinforced. So Trump's winning was reality-breaking.
Then the media and institutional apparatuses that like to tell people what to think went into overdrive. Instead of reflecting on this, their mistakes. They doubled down and went harder because how dare the people vote for the wrong person. It's become more forceful and people seem more susceptible to it. Further unhinged from reality. It also went into a cycle of getting them outraged over the latest terrible Orange man story. The walls are closing in. They were constantly being told what was true, only to have it constantly not be. Further derranging them. Just think of all the strange shit people now act like it was normal and not just invented.
The wars getting a lot of attention. If the war in Yemen and the support of many western nations was constantly reported on with images and video. They'd be against that. If people knew America was occupying a third of Syria, they might ask why? Hell these people didn't even know Obama expanded the wars to other countries as it was barely reported.
I'm sure there's plenty of these non thinking people who are just repeating stuff they know nothing about. There's also plenty who know it's a fucked. On a base level, anyone with empathy should be looking at the deaths and killings and be repulsed. That doesn't mean you have to have a solution. Something other than bombing kids, and what is presumed to be a plan to finally empty Gaza should be upsetting to most people who aren't monsters or sold their souls.
Being against the killing of kids doesn't mean you have to have a solution to what Israel should be doing or a fool proof peace plan. Also as there's many people against this, there's probably a lot of people who do think all the bad things.
