That depends on how far back you want to go. A lot of that had to do with infant mortality driving down the average, at least in historical time periods. If you made it past four years old in the Bronze Age, you stood a decent chance of making it past 60. But a lot of people didn't hit four.We, as a species, spent quite some time when an average lifespan was around 30 years.
