True. I posted there for about 2.5 years. I was an ardent defender of Anita Sarkeesian in the year before Gamergate, back when they still allowed some debate over her videos. Most of the Anita haters I argued against were also eventually banned, looking back on old topics

Anyway I stopped approaching political topics unless I was expressing agreement with everyone there. Then I got perma-banned for "insincere postings, which makes it hard to discuss topics". It was my first infraction, and still don't know what caused it.

My last couple of posts were highly-negative ones about Gamergate, so maybe they assumed I was trying to win favor? It's not like I argued with anyone after the initial days of Tropes vs Women.

Also a minor lolcow that I had been following was banned the month earlier, so I lost any reason to keep browsing GAF.

They are paranoid enough to ban you for concern trolling by any minor disagreement. I was banned once because I mentioned that people should call out really shitty journalist behavior that were as bad as the alleged pro GG tactics.

A lot of long time users also have gotten the ban, so is not like they care for justifying reasons.

Yeah visit any random thread from before 2010 and see how at least half of the names are grayed out (banned).

Discussion on NeoGAF is very much a top-down affair. The moderators and administrators tell you what you can discuss, how you can feel about a particular event, and any deviation is met with harshly. The forum users are completely interchangeable as a result. Even though they have spent hours trying to find the right avatar and the right (safe and acceptable) quirks in hopes of a moderator giving them a tag, they are pretty much nobodies whose role is to express the right emotions on cue. If you don't want to follow along, no big deal, they can find a bunch of mooks to take your place.

To be honest there are some forum personalities but only certain ones and will cross the line only so far and only on certain issues. This usually requires that you know the right moderators and administrators and know what threads and topics they like to look at. Failing that, you can always hook Evilore up with parties and presumably chicks. Count Dookakke is an annoying cunt but he hooks Evilore up with parties (and have talked about it openly on NeoGAF). Since the Dook's sister is a former playmate (Haydn Porter), he can hook Evilore up with one of her Playboy or model friends. Once he caught a ban and was overturned almost instantly. If you can hook Evilore up with some women, you get a free pass to do whatever you want on NeoGAF. You might still get banned but rest assured it will be overturned quickly.

I didn't read the entirety of both threads but did he come off as a creeper and say anything in particular? I'm going out there, but I don't see what the big deal is, nudity is fine. There's nothing immoral about it and making it into Playboy is pretty prestigious. He's obviously just being supportive, but if I were him I wouldn't link to any sites showing her nude because that's jut a little creepy.

NeoGaf these days is more a testing ground for "leaks" and what not, allowing them to observe reactions from other sites (Such as reddit and 4chan) while NeoGafers just bumps the threads in hope to be part of this "historical" moment

Ughhh. As far as I know, the only good things to come from NeoGAF were Mama Robotnik's posts about the cancelled Legacy of Kain games the the "lost" artwork for Final Fantasy 9. In a perfect world, NeoGAF would have more material like that, instead of this SJW-y circle jerking with a dash of beta cuck self-flagellation that goes on currently.
