What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

Dunkey's vid on TLOU2. It's one thing to like a game that's being lambasted across the internet—if Dunkey was just like "nah I like this game it's good" it wouldn't have rubbed me the wrong way. Instead he goes off on how everybody who doesn't like the game is retarded and only he is right.
I Hate Everything did something similar during the huge outrage surrounding TLJ, where his take on The Last Jedi was "I liked it so it was good and if you don't like it you're wrong". The difference between him and Dunkey was that I'd been watching him for a while, whereas I was trying to get into IHE. That stupid ass video combined with him being a generally boring fuck convinced me to never watch his channel ever again.

People who are contrarian just for the sake of having a "different opinion" other than what's usually widely accepted as the mainstream kind of piss me off. Like, if you're going to have the opposite opinion of what's nominally accepted, at least have a pure concise reason WHY other than "I like it".

Like, I like a a lot of the Bayverse Transformers (yes, I know, they're fucking shit) mostly because it's pure action shlock and I can turn my brain off for a couple of hours while I watch Shia LeBouf bumblefuck his way around a universe whose lore isn't always consistent with itself.

Yeah I'm curious what Emp did too, I quite like his videos, he's good at hooking you on a video about a topic even if it normally doesn't interest you all that much. I think I found his channel from his NASCAR videos but most of his videos are still watch ASAP status for me.

I stopped watching QuintonReviews when he shrilled the Netflix Rocko's Modern Life movie with the pro-trans message where Ralph is now a "true and honest woman" called "Rachel", and tries to justify the existence of the pro-trans Netflix Rocko's Modern Life movie with Krusty Krab Unfair and fucking Captain Planet

Emp's videos are pretty great since they're like strange, unique versions of Down the Rabbit Hole -- but I really don't care for his sports videos since the subject matter goes over my head.

Way to ruin a classic show. The whole point of Ralph's character in the OG show was for young adults to find their own way in their life that didn't revolve around what their (literal) boomer parents wanted, a message that rings true to this day. Now, he's just a frog without a dong and a tool to the same powers that tried to emasculate him in the past (except they did it literally). A good allegory for Gen X and the early millenial generations as a whole tbqh, but it's still gay.

BennettTheSage was it for me after his Death Note review, mainly because I am sick of hearing about how x character are just like Trump/Andrew Tate/Joe Rogan. I am however still subbed to him for his older content.

I fucking swear, why can't him and other reviewers bring anything up but American/Western politics up when reviewing anime? It's Japanese media. They don't care about what goes on over here unless it affects them. It would be cool if they brought up Nipponese politics, but holy shit, it's been 7 fucking years. Get a new schtick.

Has anyone brought up FluffeeTalks yet? I stopped watching him years ago when all his content became clickbait stuff like "World's Worst Tattoos #123" or "You're Bad at Social Media #777" kind of stuff, and I honestly kind of miss when his channel was just "Canadian stoner talks about weird and funny news stories". Ah well, just shove it off into the pile of middle school nostalgia in the back of my mind.
I feel like he changed his content to stay relevant, as it is popular to review content from sites like Reddit. But it isn’t working anymore, as his view count rarely hits 100K when he has 1.4 million subscribers.

I mean if he wanted to be a fag and bring up American politics when talking about Death Note he could have brought up the One-Shot the guy did a few years back where the Death God comes back and gives the death note to some zoomer who sells the book to Trump and then the death gods get pissed that happened and then kill the zoomer as his getting his money lol.

Fluffee was at his best when he would take a single crazy story and have a nice short video talking about it. Kinda like having a fun conversation about weird shit with your stoner buddy from school.

Going to talk about this channel specifically because I don't think he's been mentioned on the farms often and I want to know what People think. Moon. He's a centre-right content farm channel. I originally subbed because I respected his political views and his videos are high quality but he often repeats the same talking points and has made multiple similar videos on the exact same subject or piece of media.

Dude, he's been mentioned both in this thread and the "YouTubers you hate that everybody else likes" thread (several times today even). I think he's also been discussed in a few other places here as well:

I don't 100% blame you not being able to find mentions on KF: we have 3+ YouTuber threads splitting the conversation and looking up "Moon" in search leads to our Cheesy leader Null more often than not
Moon:
His clickbait videos feature nihilistic doomer fearmongering and have overly dramatic editing. He attempts to make his videos as some brilliant commentary on the modern world. Despite his best efforts, his videos come off as the ramblings of some wacko conspiracy theorist screaming that the end is near. The worst thing is that people seemlessly agree with the claims he makes in the videos, which the only proof he provides of his claims is "dude trust me lmao." Strangely, despite the fact that he can heavily edit his videos, he doesn't even list the source links of the topic in the description in the majority of his videos. He also gives off the impression to me of being a typical incel.

It doesn't help that he can't even double check his videos before uploading them, it's absolutely distracting.

Some of Moon's videos might start out alright, but then it immediately turns into doomer/incel/conspiracy theorist babble. I saw his Twitch video and when he got to the point where he mentioned FerociouslySteph, or whatever their name is, I just thought to myself, "Dude, that's OLD news. You're two years too late." Who the fuck cares? Plus they don't have any REAL power at Twitch.

Anyway, I am cheating yet again. This is not a video but a community post yet again;

Moon pulled a "We live in a society" and fucking punctuated it with "sign up for my bloatware email scam now!"

I was already on the fence with him because of his stupid video titles and acting like he's the first person to discover everything worth discovering plus doing surface-level analysis videos on popular media that has been analyzed to death.

And the amount of doomer content got to me after a while.

I'm getting quite bored of Moon's sensationalistic way of paraphrasing his videos.
His current last video, about youtubers that did stupid thing for clout, is nearly unwatchable.
It looks like he deliberately misses the point to twist the narrative on some sort of dumb agenda, making him no better than the ones he criticized in the past. I've noted this pattern ever since he got that checkmark symbol next to his channel's name.

Also the thumbnail is so generic that I wouldn't be surprised if an AI made it.

I was thinking of saying something like this in the post. Even searching "Moon YouTube" (a few weeks ago) didn't give me much.

Youtube been pushing this fag for a while

The "JKR is the literal devil" shit is so tiresome. Oh wow JKR disagreed with one fem larper once; literally hitler, am I right, fellow zoomers? Let's send her to prison and kill her, am I right, fellow zoomers?!

This guy is close to a downfall - I posted this in the stand-up comedy thread but he showed a clip from his stand-up special and got destroyed on Twitter. He's also charging fifteen dollars to RENT it. Here's an archive in case anything got deleted:

Earlier this year he started some social media platform that was so bad people thought it was some joke that he was making a video about, he clearly got a lot of money and couldn't say anything negative. He also has the type of fans that will cancel him for the slightest thing so if he even says one thing wrong it's over.

As far as non-political reasons, if a video has that ridiculous zoomer editing where there's a meme or a cut every 8 seconds it gives me a migraine and I stop watching
I think just as important as the political sperging is that fucking hyper editing shit. It turns me right off, just shows they have no real substance and are stuck doing that shit to compensate.

Or the fucking idiots who cut all the time to spongebob or memes, rather than express an opinion of their own. Its always a weak middle of the road opinion as well, but the use of memes to pretend someone said something shocking. That as well, acting shocked "someone actually looked through my entire twitter, who does this, how insane do you have to be" when all they did was run a few searches through and found something funny.

Give me an autist who will ignore everything proper in service of showing his spreadsheets and mind bending maths to come up with some obscure nonsense, that what I want.

Youtube been pushing this fag for a while
Omfg yeah they have. An old friend I was attempting to reconnect with, sent me one of this dude's videos. I only watched 1 video and now my entire fucking recommended feed is at least 2 Kurtis videos. Blows my mind especially since he doesn't really add anything to the thing he talks about. He really is just kind of a faggot tbh

I've been using YouTube since it launched in 2005. I know there are dozens upon dozens of channels I've unsubscribed from but honestly given that I found the channels objectionable or uninteresting I didn't exactly commit them to memory. A few that I can recall unsubscribing from, though:

Slopes Game Room: Subscribed for the KickScammers series, left because I just got a weird "vibe" from the guy that didn't feel right. Turns out that was the right move given what others have said about the channel in this thread.

Octavius King: Subscribed for her insights on weird British home computer games, left when she properly thotted out and apparently continued to spiral and is now non-binary or something?

FarFromSubtle: Someone else mentioned this at the beginning of this thread, I subscribed for the series Awesome Video Games. When that series ended I just had no interest in their live commentary/Let's Play series "Video Games, Awesome!".

Retsupurae: The golden era of riffing on BillyMC and Cornshaq is never coming back and slowbeef turned into an embarrassing has-been. Can't remember when I unsubbed but it was years and years ago.

Last Week Tonight: Subscribed back when the show wasn't painfully left leaning. It always sort of was, but it was manageable and some of the humor in the first few seasons was funny. Stuck around as a dead sub on my channel for years and eventually the recent episode on homeschooling was the tipping point when Oliver calls out conservatives pulling their kids out of school over liberal brainwashing "which isn't a thing that is happening". Fuck off.

Years ago I found a DVD set of the complete Rocko series (at Fry's Electronics, RIP), sans this atrocity. I consider my DVD set to be the proper "complete" version of the show because I can go on ignoring Netflix's shitty pandering reboot.

I kinda like Grim Beard for his longer form videos about old games, but man he's clearly one of those smarmy snarky too-cool-for-school kids (meaning he's probably like 28 but never grew out of his high school psychological defenses for being bullied) with a sarcastic tone and he lets his personal political opinion (read: current year white men bad trannies and feminism good) bleed into his reviews a lot, especially lately.

It's kinda sad to see but then again this dude paints his nails.
