I think watching Courtney sperg out all the time is hilarious, but can we all just definitively agree that she’s a crazy bitch? I feel like it’s not stated enough how much of a whack job she and that entire family is.
This isn’t a situation where Lily is this held-up respected figure in the communities she’s in or a mega celebrity. Most people hate her or don’t give a shit about her. There isn’t a reason to go on this massive, deranged hate campaign for this long unless she’s insane, an attention whore, or both. (Most likely both)
I just get this vibe that people are too afraid of saying that cause what she’s saying probably isn’t a lie. But Courtney should be treated as just on the same level as Lily in my opinion.

If someone was raped by an older brother since they were practically a baby and then continued on to have another sibling molesting them for almost a decade, only for their parents to do nothing about either, I'd be incredibly surprised if they didn't end up with a few mental illnesses as a result. The problem is, once Courtney got caught lying about one thing, now we can't trust anything else she says. She'll always frame things in the way that makes her seem like an innocent victim and there's no way to verify 90% of what she says because the only other party is also a compulsive liar.
Maybe Courtney really was raped by her family and was so traumatized she can't help but start petty drama. Or maybe that entire family is just filled with nutjobs with an inferiority complex who will say anything for attention. Or maybe she was sexually assaulted, but not raped. Who can say? Think it was just trying to cash in the 10th anniversary, not Cartoonshi-- I believe Lily announced this video was in the works quite a while back. There's also been an ongoing trend of people reassessing their harshness toward SU so she's trying to ride that train, too.
But I really just want to point out the difference between these two. Not that I'm fucking watching Lily's video so I'm just going off what Tuna reported, but she opens it with hate and vitriol and blaming somebody else for why she was so harsh on it. "If I was wrong it was because of Lizzie." She talks in anger and spite.
Meanwhile, Cartoonshi's video -- and I honestly recommend anybody with a passing interest to watch it, if you have the time -- was motivated by love. Not of the show, but of somebody who shared it with him and led him to appreciate its value and message in spite of its flaws.
I feel kind of bad my mind's been poisoned like this but my thoughts at the end of his video were that he's an anti-Lily-- he also had an abusive childhood and suffered a tragedy, but instead of turning toward anger and bitterness he talks about healing and wanting to help inspire people who were in a similar darkness. What a wonderful sentiment.

I dropped the manga over Yuri and how he acted so for once i can see what lily means.
Despite lily being on the internet for multiple decades she does not understand that when you have as awful a history as she does people don't wanna be associated with you once that history is more well known. To think. This kid, this child that lily has the balls to warn her fans off of as a neo nazi three years ago has grown so much. At only 19 years old he speaks with such vulnerability and strength, his troubles colour his world, but despite all of it he chooses to keep living to keep striving despite the pain. To speak about his childhood pains and tragedies the way he does takes heart and guts, what a legend.
