This is an incorrect understanding of what Jesus was saying. My understanding of 'lust' in terms of the sin, is that it isn't simply sexual desire, but a mindset/thought process leading to something akin to sexual obsession. For example, I believe Aquinas even says you can lust after your wife in a harmful way. Sexual desire itself isn't a sin, as that is a natural subconscious response of the body. Same with hunger, you can't help but feel hunger as a living being. But hunger can lead to gluttony, which is a pattern of behavior that is abusive to the body. Same with sexual desire leading to lust.

i did not watch the podcast, but, judging from the response here, it appears the host did a surface level interview and the only research he did was through twitter replies and the first page of googling rekiteta's name.

i think most podcast start off as fans of their subject matter. when they do interviews of the subject matter in their wheel house, their interviews will come across as knowledgeable and insightful. outside of their subject matter, i am resigned to the fact that these podcast interviews will come across as amateurish or surface level. most of the hosts are not trained journalist or investigators, so they don't know how to do the deep research required to do an insightful interview outside the podcast's field of expertise. you would think these podcast would want to improve the quality of their content, but "good enough" is now the standard because quantity if more profitable than quality.
