So, out of mild curiosity I tried to do a "forgotten password" check on the obtusegnome@gmail.com account, see if maybe there was anything tying it to Vito.


Unfortunately, the account apparently doesn't exist. But trying to make an account using that username gets rejected, so it existed at one point. I'm curious if "Obtuse Gnome" went DFE as soon as the litigation between ISOM and Eric July actually kicked off. It'll probably be hard for the ISOM people to have a chance of bringing their case if they can't contact the original "concerned citizen" to bring it to their attention.

This is more confusing than clarifying as the post I'd made which Null read on MATI was about the base game, while Vito is tweeting out what's clearly marked as an expansion pack released a year after the base game. The second photo he attached is also clearly for a 2018 expansion pack whereas the base game is from 2014. This hardly proves his point.



No shit, a rough sketch is supposed to be rushed and imperfect; more importantly however, crowdfunding campaigns are supposed to deliver their product on-time! Congratulations on not taking away the key point which was that you claimed over 6 months ago that this part of the process was half done. You don't really have to specify that it reminds you. It's literally the same framing, same poses, etc. The main difference is that Vito drew these weird tard guns that the artist had to redo from scratch.

It reminds me of when Japanese people try to represent guns. I'm thinking of this famous anime scene where a guy holds a rifle's shoulder stock on top of his shoulder like a bazooka, but I can't find the clip, so have Shadow the Hedgehog pumping his gun instead:

The difference is that these goofs were made about a decade ago. It's 2023 and you can look up what a fucking Thompson SMG looks like. I'm not sure Vito even meant to draw tommyguns here. I think the artist generously interpreted them as tommyguns because literally no other gun fits this sketch.

I guess they are meant to be tommyguns because we can see a decently sketched fedora here, as well as the pinstripes on the suit. The gun he's holding is clearly meant to be some kind of 4-barreled cheese grater style handgun though. No way you could interpret that as a tommygun. Also, the thing in the second image is clearly meant to be a baby bottle with a 90 degree handle on it. Truly futuristic, Vito.

Clearly he's got his hands on some talented artists if they can turn these nightmare sketches into anything intelligible. Especially if it's just for a retarded Juju the Cow gag.

It's possible that they subpoena Google for information on that account. I don't know if Google would comply or resist, but that option does exist at least for a little bit longer.

I might be wrong but I take it that, they pay other artists to draw assets or things that they are not good at drawing yet. Maybe designing things that go on a cover, letter styling, backgrounds, minor objects, etc.

EDIT: That said, I haven't seen Vito actually draw anything so I really don't know how good is he.
