I already commented on the crosspost in the guntuber thread, but reading this one it occurs to me that LP might be trying to get Ian to talk about the AK mud test he and Karl did on InRange ages ago.

This was long before their falling out, and it's... just about the only time Ian was featured in any content that was outright critical of the AK platform. And even then, it was the result of a very specific test, and they make note of it. Ian does have a lot of videos on AKs and AK derivatives, and honestly LP could just watch those and call it a day. They're more than informative enough for his grade of "sourcing".

Zach and Mike are both very openly Left Wing in many aspects, if Not full on shit libs*. I expect if Zach or Ian have any input on the video, it will be minimal. Zach Might film a small part explaining the function of the AK and a simple part break down, Ian might give some background and a more technical breakdown, but that's the most I could see them doing. I expect pig to more so use their names to make his claims seems more valid, probably to prevent another T-14 debacle. "See, these two people who know about guns totally support my fan fic about how Evil RUZZIAN Man stole AK from Gay Ukrainian man." type shit.

Those who circle jerk Kei trucks are some of those most out of touch motherfuckers. I like these trucks as much as the next guy and not everyone needs full size truck let alone something like an F-350, but you're not going to tow large trailers, heavy equipment, heavy materials, etc and not only tow them on road but also tow them off road.

And not only tow, but also carry on the truck itself. Carry a full crew and carry all the equipment supplies on the truck itself.

They also ignore that if you really want you can buy the truck as a two door cab and have more bed space. Not only that it's extremely common at least where I am at to find work trucks with a crew cab (four door) with equipment and materials in the back with or without the seats. Usually, more expensive tools resides there as it can be locked and it's also indoors protected from the elements. And the other obvious benefit being you can carry a whole crew with you and take people around.

UTVs as a popular category are far more recent than Kei trucks, though. For the longest time if you wanted a very small vehicle that could still carry some stuff here in the US, you either had to get a Kei truck, or a Mule (also Japanese) or get a usually more expensive specialty vehicle for it. Kei trucks worked great for the purpose they were designed for: light hauling in narrow roads and short distances. That's a more common use case in Japan than America, but not exclusive to Japan. Have they been overtaken by more modern designs? Probably. Are their fans annoying as fuck trying to pretend they're great all-around work vehicles? Absolutely.

ETA: now that I think of it, LP does the same thing as the Kei truck fanatics. He's got positions he's emotionally invested in and won't budge for love nor money, even though he's stretching the merits/flaws of whatever he's defending/attacking to the point of absurdity.
