Naturally he's going to double down on this. That's how a mid life crisis works. He genuinely thinks what he's doing is good and he's desperately clinging to it, refusing to realize he's gotta embrace that he's at the halfway point with kids and a wife, you know?I would somewhat agree with you if Rex Viper had been a tiny little gag he did during the pandemic and made those few music videos, as bad as they were.
But no, James has doubled down to the point of performing live numerous times despite never rehearsing with the band, and he regularly promotes the live videos on social media like it's a legit thing he wants everyone to follow. The live performances never have positive feedback on Youtube, and hell, look at the audience reaction in the official uploads.
That kinda thing happens to a lot of people in their 40s. You miss being young and being able to afford doing this kinda stupid shit, before you had a job, kids and a family to take care of. Because of this, Rex Viper is just a passing thing and he's eventually going to stop doing it. When he does, he'll either realize he's too old for this shit now and he should focus on what's most important, or he's going to try something else since Rex Viper didn't pan out.
